We grabbed a muffin to go, I saw scrambled eggs, waffle makers (one was a mess from strawberries it looked from someone making them), i saw bread, cereals, juice machines, and of course we had coffee. It looked like alot of options, we just decided to get Perkins next door. The front desk staff at check in was amazing Sat. night when I though the hot tub looked dirty, they both came in and tag teamed it (one was being trained) they were so nice and went above and beyond and appropriately adjusted 10% off for the inconvenience. I can't say enough how awesome they were about it! And the remote needed switched out for the TV it wasn't working, that was done right away!

Can't complain really, any issues were rectified quickly and professionally and politely!

Easy access to US 20. Plenty of shopping and food nearby. I was upgraded to a King suite after booking just a King room since they were out. It was more space than I needed. Cozy and clean lobby like other Country Inns I have stayed at.

Small details in the room were disappointing. The worst was the heater/ac that was so loud and blew all the time. Finally I just turned it off and relied on blankets. I did not find a shower mat to step out on and only found one small trash can in the front of the suite, with none near bathroom.

The breakfast was pretty standard for places that include breakfast for a stay, make your own waffles, fruit, cereal, coffee, tea, bagels, toast, juice. The breakfast room was spacious. There was a tv and they had sports channel on. My husband and I watch morning shows, not ESPN in the morning. There were restaurant options in walking distance.

The one treadmill did not work. The manager tried to help but it wouldn't work. [Staff was friendly and helpful!} The air-conditioning in our room was low 60s when we opened the door to the room. We turned it off and since it was an unusually cool night, we did not need the air conditioning at all.

The comfortable beds pillows and linen, the bathroom, the breakfast, coffee, cookies, the location, and the super, amazingly friendly and accommodating staff. After the first night we decided to stay 2 additional nights and it’ll be where we return next year. 😃

The smell of chlorine from the swimming pool when you first enter, but very quickly you don’t smell it any more.

Front desk was amazing and extra accommodating: providing recommendations for laundry and dinner. Pool and hot tub were clean! Rooms were clean and comfortable. Our group’s favorite location among 5 hotels across the state.

We wish the omelets had been plain instead of full of salsa already, but this is definitely not a deal-breaker for us. Everything else was wonderful.

our room was very large had plenty of space for the 5 of us! Granddaughter left her Apple Watch and they were happy to send it to us!! thank you for that!! We enjoyed our stay!!!

I questioned why the room for 3 nights (Tues- Fri) was charged each day differently?? Explained that I had booked room third party so each day was different price! I have never had that happen before so for that reason we will not stay there again!!!

I’ve been to a few country inns. This was far the best one! Very clean rooms were NOT moist. Bedding very clean. The room excellent bathroom spotless. The staff super friendly. We must add the breakfast! Very good food was cooked perfectly and you were able to make your own waffles with the waffle maker just simply pour and wait for the timer. I absolutely would recommend this to anyone traveling to Waterloo IA.

the place was exceptionally clean, no "missed" corners. the staff was friendly and efficient from front desk to the custodial crew. Breakfast was hearty with many choices. Pool and hot tub were also so clean and nice. and if was very nice that the hours were 6am-midnight- you could swim /hot tub plenty. had a small issue with our room and the staff switched us right away.

they drained the hot tub for their 2 week cleaning on our 2nd day, wish we would have known. but they probably did not know they were doing it that day.

Front desk employee was very very nice and courteous, and breakfast was good.

The bathroom door on the back had a few feces on the back part of door. It was a small amount, but it was still there. The ice machines on our floor didn’t work, or on the 2nd floor.

Nice and clean. Had a great breakfast. Location was good with some good restaurants close by.

The grouting on the bathroom floor was breaking out and popping as you walked across the floor. Not really a didn't like situation just more of an informative statement for the facility to have fixed before any water damage occurs.
