Cherry is not like your normal Host, she's exceptional, she's super nice, she's accommodating, great communication. The place was like home away from home, we're even planning on coming back. It was hard to leave. The gardens are heavenly, there's a book with suggestions so you don't have to spend time thinking about what to do when in George. The place is neat, there's so many towels in the bathroom, there's everything you'll need in the kitchen. Also I love that she trusted us with her place and gave us our space. Cherry YOU DESERVE A MILLION STARS!!

Literally nothing, its just perfect.

My standards regarding accommodation is very high and I am seldom impressed by the places we stay;BUT Cherry Berry Lodge was excellent. The room was beautiful. We had everything we wanted and more. Beautiful room. Loved the bed. Loved the shower, not only was it beautiful, the water pressure was perfect. The tv had lots of channels and the power was on during load shedding. Like I said - EXCELLENT!!! If ever I had to stay over in George again-this will be it.

If I had to say anything negative- I just missed a fan. I get hot very easily and unfortunately I have a husband that do not allow open windows while we sleep. But really, that's not really a negative.

It was fully equipped and meets all your needs and was extremely clean.

The third bedroom of the house was small and its bathroom is old and toilet water didn’t switch off which was noisy. The bathroom was not pleasant. A washing machine would be a great added benefit especially for the house.

The rooms were more than comfortable. We stayed at the Lodge which had a beautiful garden attached to it. Breakfast was a full range, and you could order to suit your self. We all sat around the breakfast table with other guests and just chatted. The atmosphere was unbelievable. Cheri is a wonderful host, and contributed to our pleasant stay. The area was very central to all amenities.

Maybe a braai area. But then I presume not many people travel for 11 days. We got tired of eating out because of our duration on the road. I am sure if we had asked Cheri she would have helped us.

The stay is always good

I asked for a cheese sandwich and I received ham and all . I left the sandwich in the fridge. Cherry herself would always confirm for all the times I would stay there. Also I got to the guest house and had to wait to only be transported to the next one around the corner .

The property is amazing. Our room’s patio had a beautiful view of the outside gardens. The room was top notch. Parking was a bit tight but not a problem. Breakfast was served at the Host’s other guest house just around the corner from Cherry Berry Lodge. We walked to the other property for breakfast. Very pleasant and safe neighborhood. Cherry, the host, was very accommodating.

Nothing not to like

I loved the room. So big and spacious. Beautiful garden and you can even Braam if you like.

The fact that we could not use the spa bath. I understand that there are water restrictions. I also didn’t like the fact that when I got to the gate, there is no bell or any way to enter. I also tried to phone the numbers on the board and nobody picked up. But it all worked out in the end.

I found the place very clean, the gardens were kept so well and well tendered. The outstanding part of the service was Cherry's personal touch to everything and her kindness! She embodies the old fashioned and almost forgotten art and grace of hospitality - humanness and kindness with charity. We will definitely go back again!

The area us safe as we arrived very late at night. We liked the fact that as i was communicating with the owner on my way from the Eastern Cape, they made arrangements that we checked ourselves in. The property is well maintained i must say

Lovely flat! Beautiful, safe, fully-equipped flat in garden surroundings. Great location upon entering town. Kind and helpful owners.

Beautiful, quiet garden surroundings and so peaceful when all asleep, but moving forward added soundproofing could shelter from hearing the neighbours` television at times.
