Dinner at Compass Grill and Lounge on Sunday evening was excellent. The cold buffet breakfast was satisfactory, but fresh berries are in season, i.e. blueberries and late strawberries were not served. Coffee was not self serve and the use of servers was an unnecessary waste and not readily available for refills. The granola and yogurt with add -ons was were very nice though.

The check in on Sunday afternoon was quite chaotic, as the rooms were not ready for new guests in a timely manner. However the staff were very cautious and even those with very young children were generally patient and eventually everything was calm on a very hot day. Flavoured water was supplied in the lobby which was a nice and thoughtful touch.

Spacious hotel room with balcony. Excellent mattresses. Dinner buffet was good. We loved the beach, the water sports (canoes, kayaks, paddle boards) and the tennis courts.

We found a used towel from the previous occupants in the bathroom, hanging on the bathroom back side of the door. Although everything else appeared clean, it makes you wander if that was indeed the case. Pets are allowed in the hotel, and many people bring them. Even if the pets are well behaved, they occasionally bark, which sounds loud in a hotel setting.

The winter activities were fantastic, and there were lots of areas to sit and relax.

Check in was very late 4pm and. Check out is 11am and they wanted $50 to extend until 1pm… no thanks… You pay for a night but loose a whole day. No one is going there just to sleep. Thankfully you can use all the facilities as soon as you arrive so we stayed busy. Also they didn’t clean our room during our 2 night stay. By day two we had no towels and the garbages were over flowing.

They planned lots of indoor activities for the kids, which is perfect when you travel with kids on a very snowy cold day (we travelled with a baby and a 7 year old, they both enjoyed so much of the time spent there)

Our room is in another building than the main building where most activities happened. But they provided very timely shuttles to transport everyone among the buildings, which was nice so that you don’t need to walk in the cold or drive your car around

Good range of facilities, especially for kids. The staff servicing the rooms were very responsive. When we called for extra towels and help to fix a blocked bathroom basin drain, they came quickly. Location is great ... short drive to Huntsville for dining options and shopping

Rooms are dated. Should have more Tesla chargers.

The location and the resort was beautiful, the room was cozy and the beds were amazing. Pool and hot tub was very nice and there is lots of activities to do onsite. The art gallery and art around the resort was an unexpected pleasant surprise. I even saw a deer just outside my hotel room at night which was amazing. I want to give an extra shout out to the staff who were very friendly and the waiters and waitresses at the restaurants and bars were also spectacular. I want to also give out an extra, extra shout out to Marta at the restaurant located by the lobby who was a lovely waitress and very friendly to me and my friends. I would definitely who stay at the Deerhurst again.

Nothing, this resort exceeded my expectations with it’s atmosphere and staff.

The amenities were great - we frequented the indoor pool, arcade and indoor playground. The lake was nice but no directions on how to get there - a map is provided but pathways aren't defined or labeled. Lots to do with the kids even in the hotel itself. Found that they weren’t too busy which was nice as well. Beds were very comfortable.

We didn’t eat on the resort. Prices were quite expensive and limited choices for kids. We found great food in the town. They don’t clean your room at all during your stay so it’s hard to keep the place tidy. Preferably they should remove the carpets everywhere - impossible to keep clean with all water, outdoor trekking and pet friendly environment.

Our dinner meal was very good and tasty. Would have been good to have had some bread while waiting for the entree. Breakfast buffet was alright; the view of the lake from our window seat was excellent.

Serve bread before our entree. Train servers to pour the wine from the bottle to the wine glasses. The server poured the wine for the first sip tasting but put the bottle back on ice and left. We had to pour our own wine. Most guests expect the server to pour the wine when a bottle is ordered. Would be nice to have omelet made fresh at breakfast buffet.

The place was like a dream, there was so much snow and the view was amazing and we were picturing what it would be like in summer. Breakfast was amazing, everyone enjoyed it.

The main building was great, but our room was in another building and didn't like it that much, the room felt and smelled old.

I love Deerhurst resort . Kids enjoyed the resort . Kids love the beach and it’s safe . They also did canoe and kayak , they loved it.

Well if you could have small indoor or outdoor water park for kids , that would be great !!
