The room was spacious, with a large, comfortable bed and a feature ornate bath in the room, with a separate en suite toilet and shower. Due to its location within the building, it was also very quiet. There was no noise from the street (although the town centre was relatively quiet at night), or neighbouring businesses. The 1777 At The Albion also has a pleasant and well-maintained garden area, plus free on-site parking. The Olive Tree restaurant, which is a two minute walk away, is where breakfast is served and the food was delicious with plenty of choice and the serving staff were simply great! Like the hotel, the restaurant also accepts dogs, so my wife and I could have our breakfasts together, rather than one of us having to stay in the room with our dog, or take them for a walk, while the other eats.
There is nothing we can think of to list as "did not like".

Beds were very comfy. Plenty of tea and coffee and bathroom shower was lovely plenty of room in there too. The bonus is the car park at the rear which was great as I had my 84 year old mum so great for going out days and being able to park when back. There were only 10 spaces but then there are only 10 rooms so it’s perfect.
The only thing that we struggled with in room 1 was the lack of light. It’s a lovely designed pirate room but all lights were rather dim and walls cladded in dark wood. No wardrobe but a few hooks but not enough for two for 5 days but we managed.

Location was absolutely fantastic - parked once (in the hotels secure, free off street parking) and were able to freely explore the village and attractions directly from the hotel. Beautiful little village, very friendly people, and overall, a brilliant stop over mid trip. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Check in staff were very warm, welcoming and friendly. We were also delighted with all the little “extras” in the room - drinks selection for all ages, delicious biscuits, bottles of water and toiletries. An added bonus were the complimentary drinks vouchers we could redeem at the restaurant. We had dinner there - this too was excellent. Well done to all the team at 1777 The Albion - we will be making a return visit. :)
Honestly, couldn’t fault a thing!

The room was very comfortable with a great walk-in shower (as requested). We arrived early but were able to check in as soon as we arrived which was great. Breakfast was very good but took place in a sister property a little way from the Albion. Not a problem for us as the weather was good and we didn't mind the walk.
If there had been bad weather having to walk to another property for breakfast could have been a problem - also if anyone had mobility issues.

I am disabled with a small mobility scooter and booked the accessible room which was perfect for my needs. The room was a good size and the bathroom was excellent, very spacious and easy to manoeuvre around. We were able to park outside our room in the disabled bay. Perfect. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be booking again.
It would be ideal to have a restaurant on site but there were plenty of places to eat in Wimborne so not a problem. Please note the accessible room has a wooden floor and is not carpeted.

The bed was exceptionally comfortable, both my wife and I slept well during our stay. The breakfast was very good, and the staff were very flexible about meeting our needs. The room itself was large and comfortable, and its outlook into the town, and the Minster was excellent. Because I have a back problem I would have liked a more upright chair as well as the low comfortable chairs supplied, but I was able to sit on the bed which was fine,
There was very little I would like to have changed. I found the mirror for shaving at a difficult hight, it would have been more helful had it been set lower. Otherwise I cannot think of any real problem or complaint.

It was a lovely room at an old inn decorated in a nautical, Georgian theme. The bed was super comfortable. Wimborne, the little market town is super quaint with lots of great restaurants including one related to 1777. 1777 is not a large hotel with lounges etc, but a small place, so some folks may found it restrictive. Personally, I thought it was great.
This has nothing to do with 1777, but the drive between Bournemouth and Wimborne definitely requires a SatNav :-)

Each room is different and it is very quirky
The room is quite dark, (room 5) I thought this last year but didn't say anything! The black shades on the central ceiling light really need to go they make the room look very dark and dingy, they would cost very little to replace with a more neutral colour like on the walls. A little dish would be very handy to put the used teabags in and spoon instead of placing them on the desk.

Loved the room decor, size and layout. Lots of little extras made it feel very homely. Bed big and comfy. Parking excellent and location perfect. Staff very friendly. Enjoyed my stay.
Went to other property for dinner, but they didn’t have the first three things I requested. It wasn’t late, so that was very disappointing. Just had fish and chips, which were ok. Didn’t bother going back for breakfast.

Room was cosy. Lovely large wet room bathroom. Plenty of tea/coffee available in the room. Good location. We managed to check in early. Car park was free (but limited spaces & carpark was a bit tight) Staff were very friendly. Lovely touch with the radio on the bedside table, which was playing when we went into the room, making it feel homely.
The wet room had extensive disabled facilities, which is great, but we didn't request disabled facilities. Lighting in the room isn't great. Bed was a bit soft for our liking (but that's just personal preference) & it was very squeaky!
