My wife and I were very pleased with our four-night stay at the Acora Potsdam "Living the City". In the first place our room was designed and equipped in a manner that suited us very well. With respect to the design, our room was contemporary in style, but, thanks to several elements of color and to cheerful references to sport and travel, the room did not feel sterile or stiff. With respect to equipment, the room had a refrigerator, a microwave oven, a small expresso machine and a small assortment of cutlery and dishes. That was just what we needed to prepare each morning our relatively healthy and inexpensive "continental" breakfast. The room was very satisfactorily serviced each day. It was quiet day and night. Checking in and checking out were straightforward. Needless-to-say the room was thoroughly clean, everything was in perfect condition, and the WiFi was fine. The beds and the shower were top-notch. The location of the Acora Potsdam -- adjacent to the Hauptbahnhof -- suited us because of our program. Fortunately the hotel is between the two prominent art museums of Potsdam. For us it was important that the price of our room was very reasonable in relation to the quality of the accommodation.

The hotel is relatively distant from the area where Potsdam's restaurants and cafés are concentrated. However, that area can be reached in less than 15 minutes by foot or by frequent trams. There was no hot-water kettle. The hotel has no discernible "local" character or colour". It could easily be elsewhere in Germany or Europe.

Location was great, steps away from the central Potsdam train station. Convenient for easy access to both Berlin and Potsdam centre. Breakfast was amazing, very tasty with a lot of different options. The bread was the best! The internet was very fast, which helped a lot since I was visiting for work. The room was very comfortable, and the heating worked very well. All the people working at the hotel were very helpful and kind, it was a plasure to stay at Acora!

In order to be more sustainable, the hotel does not clean rooms daily. While that makes a lot of sense and did not bother me (not really needed), if the hotel could take out the trash of the rooms more than once per week (for longer stays) would be great, as it did build up rapidly if one had meals in the room.

Breakfast was great, good variety and quality. Location great, near the train, bus and tram stations and close to shops for food, supermarket, gym etc. Good size room. Liked having the bar available, made for a more sociable atmosphere.

The staff can make or break or break a place and I felt, like some of the other reviews I've read, that they were disinterested and unhelpful. Yes, they booked you into the room ok and took your payment but that is where it ended. Couldn't provide any assistance re transport options, recommend places to go, pretty useless in that department which can make your experience more seamless and enjoyable. Only one person behind the desk actually smiled and seemed pleased to welcome me or say hello. The other thing, I found my room a bit dark. The dark walls didn't help but not enough bright lighting.

Easy access 6 minute walking distance to acces the (backside) of the Potsdam station with shopping mall. Within 30 min walking distance of inner-city or 10 min. by tram / bus. Sanssouci bus is 18 minutes. Hotel room was spacious with high ceiling, clean and good bed with different pillows, simple kitchenette is new, has microwave and small fridge plus diverse kitchen utensils. Breakfast was lovely and of high quality a lot of options, in terms of fresh bread, yogurt and muesli station also for vegans.

-There is no waterkettle available just coffee machine with cups. But that is normal in newer hotels. -Fridge witch freeze department was bit noisy at coldest level, turning it lower made the ice melt. Made a complaint about it.

Clean, modern, close to the train station (good connection to airport), nice walk away from city center. Rooms are isolated well, so you have pure silence during day and night. We stayed in the hotel in october and again in november for a week. Each time we experienced same high quality service. In the room there is heating which you can addapt on your needs. There is also a little kitchen with microwave, fridge and coffee machine. You can decide each morning about having the hotel breakfast, no need to pay or order days before. Hotel has a nice bar, where you can drink your daily coffee (vegan milk options also avaliable) or late evening coctails, beer, juices etc. Stuff is very friendly. House keeping does not disturb your stay, as they come every five days. This was a big plus for us, as we dont like things to be change in the room during hotel stays. If you need new towels, toilet paper etc., there is a “house keeping room” in every floor, where you can take what you need at any time. Next to the hotel there is a center for water activities - sauna, swimming pool, etc. Nice to visit during longer stays in Potsdam, when you need relaxtation or a break from sightseeing. Furthermore, close by is also big shopping center with many shops, restaurants, grocery, cinema and gym. Hotel is located near the river, nice for walks next buy or river tours with boat.

Comfortable spacious room, with good wifi. Good breakfast, with lots of options. Nice facilities, coffee machine, fridge and microwave in the kitchen. Very clean. Good value for money. Handy location near the train station. Quiet room with a nice view of the city.

One of the power sockets didn't work and the coffee machine leaked coffee.. but I told reception upon checking out so they may have sorted it. Air was quite dry, but was better once I figured out how to turn the AC off. Might have been helpful to have a welcome book with info on breakfast times, gym availability, sauna, bar opening times, etc.. maybe there was supposed to be one but the one in my room was gone.

Very good location a few minutes walk from train station. Quiet, very clean, modern studio with plenty of shelves for storing belongings. Good wifi, dish cleaning soap etc. Easy checkin and very good value. We liked being near train station with a tourist info center and big shopping mall with everything you need including supermarket Kauf____. At info center Bought tickets for bus to Sanssouci new palace and walked everywhere else. We highly recommenf

No big problems. Bathroom lighting not very good; the provided makeup mirror helped. It would help to have instructions for the microwave codes as they are not always the same.

The location was so convenient to the station and trams to the city centre the city centre. The room was well laid out and had everything needed, including fridge and microwave. The beds were very comfortable and we did not have any nuisance from noise even though we looked out onto the main thoroughfare. Also excellent value for money and the staff were extremely helpful in printing out our boarding passes for us

I don't think our experience could have been improved, very happy with everything.

- You can check in at any time. - The room was very spacious. - The design was modern and elegant. - The bed was comfortable. - The air conditioner worked very well. - The location couldn't be better. Shopping center and main public transport station right next to the hotel. - The fridge, although a bit small, works really well.

- The kitchenette was poorly equipped. I don't think a microwave and a sink qualify as a kitchenette. A ceramic plate or a proper oven would be nice. - Having a different key card than your room key for the elevator felt unnecessarily redundant. - It is a little pricey.

The hotel's location is great, very close to the Potsdam Hauptbahnhof and the city center. The room was spacious and well furnished. The kitchenette was useful addition. The staff were helpful. The hotel had a nice atmosphere.

Housekeeping only comes every five days and that is only on longer stays. It could be more frequent. The staff were happy to move it up when we requested though, but at least two cleanings could have been better for a weekly stay.
