Location was perfect directly on the Camino Frances in the center of town The owner, although we had a communication barrier, couldn’t have been more hospitable. The room was well appointed with tasteful decor. Bathroom had everything we needed. The owners tienda which you had to walk through to get to the hotel, was well supplied for fellow Camino pilgrims. Breakfast was self-serve and more than adequate. The owner spent time training us in the use of the coffee machine, panini press, microwave, juicer,and making sure lights were not left on.

I only wish we could have spent more time in this quaint village.

It all started with merluza! After a wild, wintry snowy climb over the Cruz de Ferro with 5-8 cm of snow, a slippery descent into Molinaseca where snow gave way to rain, I arrived in Molinseca wet, cold and weary after 25km. Lunch! The best—the absolute best—merluza ever had in 14 Caminis de Santiago. And I have eaten many merluza lunches—-sublime! Gracias! And Raul—-welcoming, warm, gracious. His father is the chef. Superb! So I booked a room. Fantastic! A giant and very comfortable bed. A big room. Spotlessly clean. A hot and very powerful shower. A very, very happy peregrino. Molinaseca is a quaint, quirkiy village, just south of Pontferrada on the Comino route. Plenty of bars/cafes restaurants. The river has been damned and becomes the municipal swimming pool. Our accomodation was found down one of the very narrow streets. There was a phone number on the door to contact the proprietor to gain access, and he arrived very promptly. N.B. It is "resident only access" into the village but we had alresdy ridden the motorbikes in and the proprietor moved heaven and earth to enable us to park outside his house. Otherwise, I assume one would have to park on the roadside or in a distant carpark. Our room was modern and bright. We ate in his fathers' restaurant Casa Ramon-one of the best meals we had over our two week touring trip. Breakfast is Do it Yourself.

With the DIY breakfast:- a better toasting appliance would be better. a better juicer or carton of orange juice

Perfectly located and the room was sooo comfortable. Best night’s sleep all Camino. The owner doesn’t speak English but you’ll understand each other

When we arrived, it was hard to know what was going on as the hotel, attached everything you might need store, and local gathering spot was all run by one very busy man. But the next morning, when he saw us, he rushed over, gave each of us two pecks on either cheek as greetings and welcome, before rushing off to help customers. So nothing to dislike, just give the man a break

My wife and I were pilgrims that booked a room because of several physical ailments that we were experiencing during our journey. The hotel gave us a nice, private room to rest. The scenery by the river was exceptional as were the many dining experiences overlooking the river.

The location was slightly difficult to find but we were just exhausted and hungry!

Great little place on The Way - we weren't trekking but interesting to see all those that were. Molinaseca is a gorgeous tiny, wee town. This accommodation was very central, parking was convenient in a free public park nearby, groceries downstairs and numerous cafes. Great shower, great bed - recommend it.

Quite close to the centre of the town, which isn’t big by the way. Reasonable value for money and perfectly acceptable for a stop on the Camiño. Modern room and shower.

Our room faced a wall. The proprietor pushed the restaurant which we think was run by his dad. When we checked it out it only looked average. The attached shop seemed to be overpriced.

Welcomed by owner - who happily carried luggage to room upstairs. Clean, tidy, comfortable beds. Great shower - super hot water in winter was wonderful. Upstairs from town supermarket - very handy. Restaurant nearby - be sure to ask for a coffee from here - connected family business - best coffee in town.

The room was fantastic, the beds were large and comfortable. It was impeccably clean and the shower was superb, great water pressure and large. The breakfast buffet was also so generous and lots of choice. The host was so kind and even carried my bag upstairs to my room.

This place was perfect for my parents and me. The host was so welcoming and friendly. He definitely made our stay that much more memorable. Perfect location to enjoy one of my favorite Camino towns. The rooms were spacious and comfortable.
