Been here previously. Nice hotel for our needs, close walk to busy town. Good shops opposite in case you require anything. Staff at hotel were first class - thanks to Anna at reception, sorted out an additional room for an extra person. Bedroom was fine. Evening meal was very good for12 euros ish.

Same as before. Breakfast!! We were the 2nd persons to attend for breakfast, 0830. Repeat of previous year. Stone cold scrambled egg, solid cold fried eggs and cold bacon. Other clients came for breakfast and no one ate it other than toast and cereal. Awful to admit, but go to McDonald’s across the road for better selection and service for half the cost.

The best hotel so far on our road trip through Northern Spain. Excellent price / deal Clean, quiet, with friendly stuff, great air conditioning. There is a gym, a bar, a restaurant. There are a few parking spaces around the building (supervised), public parking spaces all around the neighborhood and a payable private garage (around 9 euro per night). The Castle is 20 minutes away on foot.

This is a very comfortable and quiet 3* hotel (there was a wedding when I stayed but in the 1st floor rooms it was very quiet). It is very clean and functional although the hotel came a bit in its years but for a short stay it is absolutely great. The entire staff is very friendly, welcoming and helpful. I had a very good time there, I stayed 2 nights since I started my Camino from Ponferrada. Although the hotel is not in the city center (Ponferrada center is in walking distance) it was a great experience and as well the city center as the old town can be reached by walking. The only thing was the Wifi connection that is really slow and actually not fit for purpose but other than this everything was in perfect order.

Not a real issue, but if you need an Internet connection use your 5G connection from the phone since the wifi-connection is real slow.

I am solo riding (motorcycle) from north Spain through Portugal and wanted to ride a particular epic road between two and this is a perfect start point. It was clean, well staffed with good English speakers and I got an excellent nights sleep in a very comfortable bed. It has limited free parking outside where I was able to safely leave my bike. And it was excellent value.

it was a great hotel with its facility but if you are walking the Camino , the place was about 20-30 min walk to each the Camino path. The only close place to eat was McDonald across the street, there was a supermarket but it closed in th evening (8pm) and on Sunday.

The room and bathroom were exceptionally good in size for the price, and everything was very clean. Breakfast was also really nice.

The hotel was noisy: the walls were so thin that we could hear everything happening on the main hall from our room (we were located in the 1st floor).

My second visit here. The hotel is a short walk to the town centre. I arrived during the nationwide power cut but the staff were very apologetic and did everything to ensure that this didn't spoil our stay.

From arrival to departure the staff were excellent. The room was clean and beds comfy. The staff in the bar were attentive and the food very good. Breakfast was served in the restaurant and there was a lot of choice from the buffet.

It was a quick stay and liked the location. We can't say much of the center walk(didn't go) tho the castle wasn't too far away. Great hotel and there's parking within the neighborhood if there isn't any at the hotel unless you want to pay.

They should state the amount of free parking spots, which is maybe 8 otherwise they charge 8 euros.
