The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, the location of the hotel, the cleanliness of the hotel, the continental breakfast choice.

The air-con was switched off because the weather was apparently not warm enough to justify this. I think that should be the customers decision if air-con is listed in the facilities, especially when it’s mid summer. There was a lack of shelf space for clothes so most clothing had to remain in suitcases. The bar and pool closed very early in the evening, and the pool did not open until at least 9am in the morning.

Nicely placed hotel a short walk from the sea front and shops and restaurants. Parking at the rear which we didn't need as there was a disabled space at the front. We had a ground floor room with wet room which we had asked for. We were early for the 4 o'clock check in but had coffee by the pool which looked lovely. Lots of art work throughout the hotel. The bar and reception area are shuttered off at 8pm. The room was spacious, the bed was large but too firm for me. Breakfast was good with a selection of pastries and ham and cheese.

Great location for getting around and about and literally a 2 minute walk to the beach and promenade. Lovely bathroom in the room and a good size always great hot water for the shower, staff friendly and helpful nothing seemed too much trouble, easy access in and out of the hotel with the access code provided.

Very small compact room, don’t pack too much, one thing I would say is check with the hotel reference parking it stated on their own brochure parking 8 euros per night or a week deal for 40 weeks parked for a week and were charged 10 euro per night and not offered a week deal, maybe the brochure is out of date but then hotel should consider updating.

The whole stay was really enjoyable. We were a group of 5 couples and stayed at Hôtel d'Orbigny for a week. The family made us feel right at home and were very helpful. The rooms were comfortable and well maintained, our room looked out onto the pool. Ensuite bathroom, with walk-in shower, large screen TV, free wi-fi and tea/coffee making facilities. The pool was quiet and a lovely place to relax and cool down. Breakfast was very good, and plenty of variety, with fresh continental produce every morning. The hotel location was excellent, just a street away from the beach, a short walk to coffee shops, bars and restaurants, with the train station a short walk to the rear. What made the stay was the family atmosphere and their friendliness. I would recommend this hotel 100%.

The welcome from the owners. Everyone were friendly and very helpful. The room was big, light, airy and clean. It had a lovely view of the terrace and swimming pool. I used the pool a few times. It was clean and the water temperature was inviting. I enjoyed perusing the library. I used the bar facility for teas and drinks by the pool. I greatly recommend a stay at this hotel, it is very close to the sea, 3 minutes walk to the beach, 5 minutes walk to restaurants and bars. A great location in a great sea side resort.

There were nothing I did not like.

A lovely hotel in a charming seaside town. Hotel was very helpful when our flight was delayed. Everything was very clean. Great breakfast. Pool was clean, although the sunbed space is limited, even in the height of summer we had no problem getting one as people come and go throughout the day. If you are looking for a coastal escape or a base to explore La Rochelle this place is ideal, trains to central La Rochelle take just 10 minutes and the station is only a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. Highly recommended

Hotel was absolutely spotless. The staff were lovely and the location was great.

Sadly for us the bed was so hard that we couldn’t sleep well. There was also a very strong smell in the room of cleaner reminiscent of hospitals. Room no 1 ground floor is also a disabled friendly room which is bigger than most but not necessarily worth paying the extra for a superior room! I would suggest asking for a room overlooking the pool.

The staff were very helpful, the room was immaculate and nicely laid out, the breakfast was of a good quality and was replenished frequently, unfortunately, we did not have time to use the pool but the temperature was good and it looked very inviting, will use when we return in the future.

For the high standard of the hotel, we were a little disappointed that some of the breakfast crockery was cracked, chipped or damaged, we felt that this slightly reduced the very high standards that were apparent elsewhere in the hotel, it would not deter us from returning for a future stay.

Excellent location, 2 minute walk to the beach and less than 10 minutes into the main area of the town including shops and restaurants Property was extremely clean, including the pool which was sanitised every morning. Staff were very helpful too. We did not avail of the breakfast but the bar was cheap :)

The aircon was quite noisy and was locked to 22 degrees and unable to turn it down

This hotel is a gem. My friend and I loved our stay here and were so sad to leave. The staff were so friendly and hospitable to us and nothing was a problem. The hotel was so lovely the pool gorgeous, quiet and relaxing. Thank you to the lovely staff and cleaners for exceeding our expectations I will definitely be back!
