Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Food in bar was very nice and portions were generous.

Our room was at the front of the property and right next to a busy road. As it was the road to the harbour, there was traffic all night long, making sleeping difficult. However, as we had to be up early to catch a ferry and had chosen the hotel for its proximity to the ferry terminal, it was bearable for one night.

Our arrival was greeted with a friendly hello, we were shown our rooms then we came down to the bar for a drink and a tasty meal before setting out. On our return, the rooms were fresh, cosy and clean. We left the following morning without a breakfast but would be happy to stay there again.

The only observation is that the bathroom in the twin room was a little dark. That's all.

Don’t be put off by the surrounding area images on maps or street view. Queen Mary Inn is the perfect location for easy access to the ferry terminal early next morning and only a short wander to the Town Centre and Quayside. Friendly welcome. Clean and comfortable room, with free parking onsite a big plus. Good communication with owner and clear instructions on how to find property. Photos on the booking site do need refreshing – although they are very similar today.

Good basic accommodation, good location, and friendly staff. Private car park was a bonus. Would definitely use again for an overnight or weekend stay.

Not much to dislike unless you're looking for more modern accommodation.

old outdated double glazing Seals had gone so slightly draughty and road noise. But heating very good in room by way of electric heater.

Very friendly and welcoming the rooms were bright, airy and spic & span, with good tea making facilities.The home cooked food was excellent.The Pub was brilliant and great fun.! And we would not hesitate to stay here again.

Can honestly not think of anything not to like.!

The room was lovely and we had a good nights sleep! meals were very nice, had good choice of an evening meal and breakfast too. The hosts were very riendly /welcoming we throughly enjoyed our overnight stay at The Queen Mary Inn.

Breakfast very good. But never heard of £1 an item, ie 1 sausage £1, 1 egg £1 etc and didn't stop presentation or taste, actually was cheaper than what I normally pay so good value. Room nice and clean.

Clean but basic room.Great location, in walking distance from the quay. Nice extras were a fridge in the room, a fan water bottles/ coffee/tea/biscuits. Can buy a nice breakfast in the pub.

We would recommend this to other people, the room was clean and warm with comfortable beds Lisa and Mick were great host and nothing was to much trouble.

No were to put your shower gel and shampoo in the shower
