Location and quality of the property was excellent. The room was immaculate with a sea view balcony with the ability to wake up and see the sea from the bed. The staff were all well mannered and helpful with a smile which always helps.

So on arrival we looked to book an additional night and upgrade one of the rooms. The upgrade was completed and the receptionist advices the additional night was in the system. On original end date we enquired about a further night only to discover the initial additional night was not on the system and we needed to check out that day. After going thru the figures it becomes apparent that the amount paid was for the original booked stay plus upgrade. The gentleman on reception tried to find a solution but was unable to due to it being excellent weather and just before bank holiday so we had to check out. This was the only blemish on a lovely stay.

The hotel is in a great location for access to the beach and harbour. Plenty of car parking when we visited and the hotel is generous with being able to use it for free longer than your stay. Breakfast buffet was comprehensive with good quality ingredients (bread, fruit, pastries, yogurt and cooked food were all much better that in many hotels). Staff were all very happy and helpful.

It's an old hotel and it's definitely not the prettiest outside and must be a maintenance nightmare - that did not diminish our enjoyment of our short break in any way. (Inside is in good decorative order ) I was disappointed that there were no tins of Tuna for breakfast - sorry I had to say that!!

Incredible sea views from the restaurants and many rooms. Right on the sea front and has free parking onsite for guests. Hotel and room was very clean and staff were all friendly. Breakfast and dinner both good, especially breakfast which we enjoyed in particular. We had an economy double room, which surprised us as the room and bathroom were huge, it had a bath and the shower was decent.

The property could do with some modernising and refurbishment but this didn’t impact our stay as everything was so clean and facilities were good.

I loved that you could order fresh cooked [perfectly cooked ]poached eggs .my husband was little disappointed with with sausages on this visit as they had very little taste no spices or herbs added We ate twice in the evening in the restaurant was brilliant could not fault food nor service the room 223 was fabulous would have liked to have rebooked same room only it is unavailable for our September visit 😔 we have booked similar room again never yet been disappointed the taff are friendly helpful and curtious in all areas. If only you could order the sun to shine doe our stay please 😂 the hotel looking very smart now and we look forward to our next stay in September this year 😊.

Last time we visited there was an enormous fishy tank in the entrance which did not look good due to the sun being on it all the time [we have be fish keepers for 40 some years Couple massive tanks now small and understand how easy algae builds up. Sad to tank gone be entrance looks so big now

Perfect location, right on the sea front. Plentiful parking but it may be tight in peak holiday season. Friendly and helpful staff. The Italian restaurant is good too. The best rooms face the sea and the south east; the ones overlooking Poole Harbour will bake in the late afternoon sun.

Whilst clean the hotel is looking a little tired. The breakfast is buffet-style but the food warmers are not quite hot enough. Recommend having food cooked to order!

Room excellent ….. sea view with balcony ….. worth the extra for the view. Breakfast …. Good …..would have been nice to have tea and coffee served to table. And would benefit from having trays to collect your buffet. Location …… excellent … right on the miles of beach.

Evening meal availability was limited to the Italian ( maybe because it was early in season ….April ) Outside decor looked a little tired but didn’t interfere with our break

The hotel position is exemplary, the hotel is tired yet spotless and the bedroom was incredibly comfortable. The included buffet breakfast was very decent. 10/10 to the staff - everyone we met from the initial phone call to find out about parking, to the reception desk receiving us, and chambermaids cleaning rooms and breakfast service staff (and chefs!). These people made the hotel sing.

Pricing was significant! The hotel needs a face-lift. There are underused, old-fashioned empty spaces which made the hotel feel a bit vacuous.

The breakfast hot servers don’t match the ‘quality ’. Hotel more like a travel lodge breakfast. Cold food that looked wasted! No international options of meats cheese …. Could have been much better. Staff excellent one feels they almost knew the breakfast was not up to much! The management need to take z hard look at breakfast experience!

Breakfast was varied and good with lots of choice.The location is excellent.This was not our first visit and we return quite regularly,due to the position of the hotel.The staff were very good too.

The only thing that could have been improved was the linen on the bed which appeared to be too small for the size of bed in the room,the bed was remade every morning which was nice,but a larger bottom sheet and a lighter weight duvet for this time of year would have been appreciated.

The location, right on the beach. Our room was very spacious and light, even though it was labelled economy.

The bedding was rather worn and the pillows lumpy. The restaurant was very busy and we had to wait over an hour for our meal which was delicious when it finally came. We complained to the Manager when we checked out the next morning and she was very sympathetic and the matter was resolved to our satisfaction. There were lots of staff in the restaurant but they didn’t seem to know what to do.
