Excellent location pretty stylish for the price and lovely welcoming smile from the woman who I assume is the joint proprietor. Was good value with the discounts I got.

There is a bit of tyre noise from nearby main road that is adjacent especially then you have to have the windows open because of the heat. . Some twit also woke me up on the first night yelling excitedly in Hindi or another Indian language at 2am. No idea what this was about but clearly outside the hotel itself so not the fault of the owners.

I like how it's so close to the beach and very convenient. There is a Nisa local store close by which is good. The member of staff took great care of us and whatever we needed, we were given without any hesitation. The room was cosy and comfortable and for the price, it's not bad, especially if you are staying no more than 2-3 nights. For longer, I advise either upgrading or booking a bigger room. There is a south-facing garden which is very spacious and has lots of things to do whilst outside, for kids and adults.

I don't have any complaints because for what we paid, it was suited for that purpose but if I could give an improvement, then maybe have a mini fridge in all the rooms even if it's the budget ones.

We received a warm welcome on arrival. The bed was very comfortable ensuring a good nights sleep. The bathroom was a generous size with an amazing power shower. Plenty of tea and coffee supplied in the room. The location of the hotel is ideal for walking into town for dinner and drinks with easy access to a wonderful beach and amusements. Having a parking space in the hotel carpark was a must and was very appreciated. There was plenty of choice for breakfast from cereals, Yogurts, light and full English breakfast with tea, coffee and orange juice.

Nothing everything was perfect for our 1 night stay

Excellent location. We went to a concert at the BIC which is only 10 minutes walk away. We have stayed there before. The hotel has had a refurb. through out and is very tidy / clean. Plenty of on site free parking. Breakfat is a tenner each extra if required, book on arrival. Cereal, yogurt, tea / coffee, toast with a selection of spreads and egg on toast. Well worth it. The owners are very friendly and made the effort to see us off in the morning. I liked it there and would book again. Bed was huge and shower powerful. Plenty of tea and coffee in the room. Gardens neat and tidy if some fresh air is required, weather permitting.

Really lovely hotel, nice fresh decor and very clean. Beds are firm but comfortable. Nice quality bedding. Facilities are good and well thought out. Rooms are spacious and practical (lovely bay windows too!). Shower was amazing. Breakfast was not the cheapest, but you get a lot for you money. The shining star of Applewood is the customer service, which we found to be warm, welcoming, professional and helpful. The only minor bug-bear was the heating; freezing at night, absolutely roasting during the day. However, it is personal choice and you cant keep everyone happy, it definitely wouldn't stop us returning or recommending it!

Comfort, location, cleanliness, car parking, pleasant staff, large bed and very quiet room.

Being asked on check in what would you like for breakfast each day - cereals or yoghurt, orange juice, poached or scrambled eggs or beans on toast with the expectation of sticking to the original choices although they did oblige when asked to change. Slow breakfast service. It felt that the staff were very new and inexperienced in providing the breakfast service although the quality of the ingredients and cooking was very good and served with a smile.

We loved our stay here so much. Our host Jenna was so welcoming and took great care of us. We hadn’t booked breakfast initially, but she made us feel nothing was too much bother. The room was very modern and exceptionally clean. The breakfast was delicious and the breakfast room was so nice, overlooking the garden. I think we found a real gem with this hotel. The staff really make a place and Jenna was an amazing host. We were able to walk to the beach and a nice restaurant easily.

The room was slightly snug but I still think it was good value.

The hotel is absolutely stunning. The photos don't do it justice! Definitely more of a 4 or 5 star feel. It was so clean, warm and welcoming. The beds were really comfortable and the breakfast lovely. We stayed here as a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 children. The hotel manager was very friendly and accommodating. It is located perfectly, a stones throw from the beach and lots of restaurants and bars. Plenty of parking at the hotel. We will definitely stay here again when we come to Bournemouth!

Excellent stay, staff very friendly and rooms are perfect and super clean. Hotel provides instructions if arriving past 9pm when the check in desk closes. The bathrooms are seperate from each rooms but theyre private (just for you) and not far from the room so you get used to it.

Minor issues but in my room (room 21) the plug socket on the left was dodgy so was on and off when trying to charge my phone and the cable antennae had fallen out the wall socket for the TV and wouldnt screw back in. Also the far back bed light wouldnt turn on (thinking a finished bulb?). Hopefully these issues arent there for long as theyre quick fixes. Room otherwise was perfect!
