From the moment I arrived, the charming front desk attendant , Karen, made me feel most welcome. My room was the picture of tranquility exactly what I desired after a long journey. The opportunity to rest in such a historically rich establishment added an air of elegance to my stay. I heartily recommend this splendid hotel to those seeking comfort and a touch of the past.
While the bed did have a bit of a squeak, and the shower could use a little more attention in the cleaning department, these were minor details in an otherwise wonderful experience.

The 1930 architecture kept in tact yet modernize for customer’s comfort. The staff was so professional. Checking in was escorted to my room which had the lights on making the room feel cozy and homelike. Given brief explanation and ask if any questions. I ask if I could get a coffee across the street at 7-eleven. Was immediately offered a fresh cup from the staff. Went back to desk and introduce to owner. She was so pleasant, chatting with her while drinking coffee learned about history of hotel. Could tell she loves the building, its history, and being located in the heart of Chula Vista 3rd Street commercial heart
No comment because there was nothing

Excellent location, super helpful and friendly staff, very cool and unique feel to the building. It's an old building so manage your expectations with regard to that. It was an amazing stay for me and my husband who were in town for the night for a concert.
Really the only negative comment I have is that there isn't an extraction fan in the bathroom (because it's an old building) so it took a long time for the fog on the bathroom mirror to go away after showering. But there's a spot at the desk to do make-up, so it wasn't a huge deal.

It's historic, quaint in a location near shops and restaurants. The staff were very helpful. The bed linens and bed were exceptionally comfortable. My room was very small, but adequate for one person. There was a parade that evening and they put chairs out for guests to enjoy.
The TV armoire was so close to wood bed frame I kept hitting my leg walking between them. It looks pretty, but probably a smaller unit would work better.

The owners of this hotel are warm and welcoming and treated us like family. The hotel itself is historic and well kept. Love the period photos! While I didn't expect it to be too updated or have large rooms, I did expect it to be clean. It was- yes! The shower had good pressure and flow. Although there wasn't much room to spread out, it was enough. I understand one could request a larger room, but ours was cozy.
Our room was perfect for our short stay.

Karen was extremely friendly, knowledgeable of the area, and made us feel like we were very welcome and cared for. The hotel was very comfortable and was in very close proximity to many restaurants. I highly recommend the farmers' table.
I have no comments for this area. I was completely satisfied with my stay.

The historic vibe was awesome. The woman that runs the place is outstanding. She was so kind and gave great advice on parking at the amphitheater, since we were going to a concert. She was so sweet with my daughter and asked her about all 5 of her stuffed animals. We had a great stay and I would go back in a heartbeat!
Nothing! It was amazing!

The staff are as friendly as can be and make you feel like so welcoming to the property! The family are very caring and will ensure all your wants and needs are tended to for your stay. The accommodation was the first hotel built in San Diego and there has been great work to upkeep the hotel whilst keeping its originality! The beds are so comfortable and our stay was simply wonderful:) Love this place and will happily stay there again:)

The cleanliness and the location was close to do much
The only thing I can say about this is the cozy size but that has to do with it being built in the 1930's so rooms then weren't big but still a great room

Karen, the owner, her Mom and son. They all were so welcoming and helpful. The location was perfect for close dining and appointments. We definitely will be back.
Would have liked a small refrigerator in our room.
