We booked the suite with sea view and although expensive definitely worth it for the location and views, don’t think it is possible to get better in terms of a view and suite itself is absolutely beautiful. Stunning white sand and sea, wow!! The restaurant for both breakfast and other meals were fabulous, staff all lovely. A real gem, will definitely return.

I would have given this a 10/10, but only slight drawbacks were the shower in the suite had very little flow to it and the entrance to the resort is not in keeping of the resort itself as so much rubbish lying around as you arrive.

Sivalai Beach Resort is in a stunning outstanding location. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and comfortable, the beach was calm and swimmable most of the time, and the breakfast buffet was excellent. It was very easy to walk to the village for shopping and multiple food options. The spa experience was amazing!

We didn’t like barefoot breakfast, especially when handling hot food and drinks with children. Also, some guests would enter the buffet with wet dirty feet.

Easy short long tail boat from the mainland pier and just minutes away from the island pier and the little town. Easy and quick check with very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful location on a peninsular with the sound of the waves and the odd boat adding to the ambiance. Lots of birds in the tropical gardens and lovely spacious bungalows, many right on the beach and the others just a stones throw away. Great restaurant, great breakfast, great ala carte menu, superb location on the end of the peninsular, really well priced for a hotel of this standard, cheaper than most bars and restaurants in many tourist areas. It's island life in the low season so laid back should be expected but the staff were super efficient and all the staff including the manager were really friendly and professional and for that matter the same could bee said for all the locals we met. I read other reviews with one guy saying the pools were in disrepair, I used to be a builder and have an eye for this and I have to say I only noticed a couple of broken tiles and bear in mind the hotel will get quite as the low season progresses and no doubt maintenance work will be carried out then. The same guy moaned about the amount of windows in his bungalow saying he felt like he was in a goldfish tank.....they do have curtains! He also said that the noise from boats kept him awake, we hardly noticed them during the day ! I think he did his review while ironing his boxer shorts and socks. For the record I live in Phuket and run a fishing park business so I am all to aware of what some people are like. This hotel is beautiful, great value and we will be back again for a short stay again in the not to distant future. Credit where it is due great job, well done.

It rained a little but we expected that, it was quiet, we expected that and enjoyed it. I like a soft bed, mine was a little harder that I would like but we are all different. Maybe could do with some slightly better lighting in the bathroom, shaving was tricky but who cares. The only one thing of concern was I witnessed 2 coconuts drop from trees very close to where people may be walking or standing, they were off the paths but people particularly kids will wander and that would be a nasty headache at best. BOTTOM LINE, NOTHING TO DISLIKE THE PLACE AND THE STAFF ARE GREAT AND THE NEGATIVE NUMTIES THAT SAY DIFFERENT SHOULD BE IGNORED

Location is the best of the island. It definitely has the wow effect. The breakfast is very good, buffet style with lots of options, both Thai and western. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We booked last minute and had a good price but I guess understandably were in one of the old bungalows on the second row that was not renovated yet. Those ones are while well cleaned etc a bit dated, so less what you expect from such place. They are progressively upgrading the hotel, so if you pay the full price make sure to ask for a renovated bungalow.

At the price of 175€/night the old bungalow is not good value for money. The partially open bathroom with nets on top is not very practical.

Sivalai is a dream island escape 🤩 Absolutely stunning, eye candy water views , it’s peaceful, quiet & serene 🤍 The beach surrounds you on both sides of the island with beautiful crystal clear water & white sand We stayed in 2nd row Villa 2022 , we had a partial view of the ocean & the Villa was large , comfortable, well equipped , comfy bed, Netflix & with all you need, cleaning & bottled water daily , nightly turn down, mosquito nets, chocolate 😀 The restaurant has delicious food, fresh seafood BBQ, delicious authentic Thai food, buffet breakfast had many options Exceptional staff always with a smile, up for a chat & meaning it🙏🏻

Cannot fault🌟

What a location !!! pay the extra and be on the front row. 30M from the sea on a fantastic soft sand beach. Stayed in a small bungalow which was light, airy and typically Thai style with deck to 3 sides with sun loungers. Restaurant was good for breakfast with great selection. Although vegetarian options were limited. You pay a premium for the location but it’s still worth the money. We extended our stay by a night after being there a few hours. Overall we loved Mook and the friendly locals, prices in the village are generally lower than other islands we have visited. There are a few restaurants and a bar and an atm in the village 5 mins walk away. It felt unspoilt and authentic. You only need a bicycle for a few hours to see most of the island. Loved our time here and will definitely return.

Nothing.

Amazing, huge variety breakfast buffet is included. All the villas are very close to the beach; even the "second row" has a nice view of the beach. All the staff were super friendly and helpful.

location wise, there is a lot to do here. But many things require a boat trip to get there. I wish there was more reef around the island to snorkel. But the boat excursions that are offered are very nice and you have a private boat and guide.

We expected a second row beach bungalow, but the one they offered us on check in looked directly at the back of the front row bungalows. Yet all others had good views between the front row bungalows. They did agree to change our room at not extra charge. The location on the island is perfect, with access to the town/village through the school grounds! The resort staff were very attentive and charming.

Yet again a top quality resort with mid range food. We found several independent restaurants in town that offered better food and much better coffee. On several occasions we had to ask for clean cutlery or crockery that had run out on the buffet counters.

Everything. We stayed one night at Sivalai because the room at the orher resort where we were staying had problems. unfortunately it was already prepaid otherwise we would have moved to Sivalai. Sivalai's beach is the only really clean beach in the area. We were shocked at how much rubbish is lying everywhere else. The rooms are not the newest but they're extremely well maintained and sparkling clean. The food at the restaurant is good and reasonable priced. it was really a bliss the night we stayed there.

You have great personel which is very helpful. The rooms are super clean, they are even cleaning beach every day. The views from bungalow are superb (we had a beach front villa). You have scuba dive centre which we recommend. Very nice but quite old swimming pools. The beach is very nice.

The family villas are located on the same side as pier - so we were waken up every day by boats. Breakfast are ok but nothing special. The hotel itself is not very sustainable eg. They are changing bad sheets every day and giving new towels even if you do not ask for it. I know that they are being polite but it’s generating additional carbon footprint. The hotel is quite big (typical island resort)
