The suites were spacious and well appointed. Pretty much everything one needed was provided, everything was clean. Housekeeping was very helpful as was front desk staff. Some weren't super conversant in English but Google translate solves everything. We would highly recommend this accommodation. It is wonderfully located to be able to easily explore San Miguel. The inner courtyard is beautiful and you don't get a better view anywhere than the rooftop lounge area. There was a major hot water issue while we were there which left us without any for about 24 hours but it required major repairs and installation of at least one new hot water tank. We informed hotel staff in the early evening of the problem. They tried to address it and when it was deemed a bit more involved they had plumbers on site the next morning who worked throughout the day and corrected the problem. These things happen and we were impressed with how quickly the staff worked to rectify the problem.

The built in living room couch in our suite wasn't the most comfortable of couches. Some plastic glasses would be nice as all the dinnerware was very breakable.

We stayed for a month in a beautiful, spacious suite facing a quiet courtyard in a lovely historic building. The location was perfect: just two blocks from the old city center, just two blocks from the AHA language school where we were studying, with an incredible panoramic view from the roof (note that there’s a long flight of steps to get up there!, and no elevator!). The room was clean and serviced daily. The bed and other furniture were comfortable. Staff were consistently courteous and helpful. We appreciated the reasonably-priced laundry service.

There’s a dangerous step down from the bathroom level to the kitchen level. It should be better marked; one of us got hurt due to tripping and falling over the step. Also, the kitchen had most - but not all - of the basic supplies needed to cook; we should not have needed to buy our own measuring cup, for example, and a few similar necessities.

The location was great, just a few blocks off the main square. The room was nice, with a sitting area in front and the bedroom on back. Our room did not have a kitchenette, as most others do. Small fridge. Nice sitting area right outside our room. Very nice courtyard, could chat with other guests. Nice rooftop patio with comfy furniture for a private phone call, smoke a cigar, or hang out. They also coordinated our private car ride from and back to Guanajuato (Leon) for less that the commercial transport services.

The shower hot water pressure was variable and would cut in and out. Not totally unexpected but a bit frustrating when you're ready for a hot shower. Not a deal breaker.

The location was ideal: not too far up the hill; very close and a direct route to the Jardin; quiet; and the sidewalks were well lit. We really enjoyed the lovely courtyard of the hotel, and they have the best terrace view in the city! No bar on the terrace, but a great place for a self-catered picnic or beverage. There are no breakfast/restaurant facilities, either, but we chose this hotel because it had a kitchen and that works better for us, as many hotel breakfasts or coffee bars do not open as early as we like. (For other meals, there are excellent options nearby, and most of SMA's many eateries and rooftop bars are a pleasant, colorful, interesting 10 minute walk from the Jardin.) Kitchen has a 4-burner gas cooktop, large refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, and coffee maker. The hotel provides potable water in a dispenser in the room (we appreciated not having to use too many plastic bottles). The bed was comfortable and the suite was spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Angel, Alberto, and the housekeepers. We stayed two weeks and the Casa Mia felt like our home.

The bathroom sink faucet had some issues, which the hotel tried to fix. We found it better to just use the kitchen sink for washing hands and brushing teeth. We are not picky and can adjust to circumstances.

The location is exceptional— minutes from Jardín Principal (the main square in SMA). The hotel itself is beautiful. Room 9 goes is on the 2nd and 3rd stories of the building, and has an incredible view out over the city. I also loved the jacuzzi tub on the balcony, although I get the sense they're not thrilled when guests choose to use it (possibly because of the cost of the water?). All the rooms are off of a central courtyard (many of the buildings in SMA + Mexico seem to share this design pattern). The courtyard is lovely, with running fountains, trees, flowers. There was also a bar which seemed to be undergoing renovations— I bet that would have been a great addition to the trip. Hope they decide to get that open soon!

The rooms aren't brand new construction, and some of the quality isn't up to the standards that we take for granted— especially in some more developed/newer cities. That being said, it was still very clean and comfortable. The bathroom sinks could use a new caulk job to mitigate some mold, but I didn't feel grossed out showering. One thing to note: if you're planning on staying out late, let the staff know approximately when you'll be back. We arrived back around 1AM from a wedding and ended up standing outside for 5 minutes until someone heard the doorbell + phone ringing.

The location was perfect, few minutes walk from the historic square. Amazing view from the roof terrace. Kichen was well equiped.

We stayed in apartment 16, we could hear the street trafic in our bedroom.

Charming atmosphere with, not only the amenities that you would expect from a small boutique hotel, but many little thoughtful extras. Having a separate living/dining area from the 2 bedrooms was inviting and comfortable for us 3 elder ladies. Nice linens & towels. Nice dishes with plenty of kitchen ware. Location being 2.5 blocks from main plaza was perfect; close but mostly quiet...and walkable.

Having no elevator. It is 3 flights of windy stairs, and short steps, to the roof top terraza. Though the view was fantastic, the comfortable lounges and chairs were in the direct sun with no shade provided.

The suite was beautiful and very spacious! A wonderful value for the price! Everything was very clean, the kitchen was fully stocked for cooking with pots and pans and utensils. The beds were comfortable, everything was very well appointed and a spacious bathroom. We were pleasantly surprised! The courtyard was also beautiful and the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, and a fabulous central location while still being quiet enough at night.

The lighting in the bathroom wasn't the best, but honestly that's just nitpicking. Everything was fantastic.

It was a beautiful Mexican/Spanish style boutique style place that felt like a home. You walked into a beautiful colorful central courtyard with a fountain beautiful flowers, an orange tree and when we went, decorated for Christmas. Close to central plaza and great shops and restaurants. It also had a beautiful roof top terrace with views of the city and string lights on at night. Lovely place to relax and take in San Miguel de Allende. Because it is so hilly, there are inexpensive Ubers that will take you anywhere. Highly recommend Quince for lunch and Antonia's for dinner (the latter is just around the corner) from Casa Mia.

Nothing.

Clean, bright, nicely furnished, kitchen fully equipped, comfy bed, great location, rooftop terrace is beautiful with stunning views. We always felt safe here day and night. The manager and staff are excellent! Good housekeeping, they helped with luggage, and taxis. Thank you all!

Only the bedroom has heat. The manager gave us a space heater and that helped a lot. Wifi was sketchy. We kept getting kicked off but we were able to log back on. Just a minor annoyance but I recommend they get stronger WiFi
