About 30-40 by taxi from the airport while it is 10-15 mins by taxi/uber to most attractions. Within walking distance to restaurants, Civic Square, Park Caowu. Room (single) is very spacious for one. Amenities are not provided so make sure to bring your own but the hotel has slippers, shampoo, water, fridge. It is clean and there is cleaning service.

There is no way to adjust the temperature of the air conditioner, can only adjust the fan speed so it can be quite hot (I went in the summer). Wish there was a chair instead of sitting on the floor and a space to put the towel in the sink, which is outside of the bathroom.

Have always stayed here during my bi-annual trip to Taiwan, taichung specifically and its always feels great to be back at Calligraphy Green. For a tourist, the location is superb, couple of convenience stores nearby with interesting cafes and bars around.

That they will not be providing toiletries soon.

- Location was central and it could take you to a number of places by bus. - Lots of local food options nearby. - Please note that it is not near a train station, so plan your journey. - The room was absolutely comfy! The bed was a little hard, but I had a good sleep. It also has a decent view. - Staff were very helpful and would go out of their way to provide solution. They even offered a portable heater if I feel cold.

- if you have large luggage or have a late flight, please plan your journey if you plan to come by Public transport or have a late flight. Taichung is not a very convenient city when it comes to public transport which is no fault to the hotel. - Hotel windows (bathroom and external) could have been cleaner. The staff keeps the room really clean, EXCEPT the bathroom glass separation.

The room design was great even though I got a darker room with smaller windows as compared to the ones in the photos. Shower ran hot quickly which is a plus for winter, and it was very spacious in general. Location is great to be honest, walked everywhere and was plenty occupied within an hour’s walk in all directions and there were plenty of excellent cafes around too.

Sound proofing is really bad which to some extent is understandable but a group of really noisy travellers that stayed in the room next to mine made so much noise until 2am+ in the morning - soured the experience quite a bit.

- Central location, good food options nearby, this room was spacious with an extra bed, living area.

- it was too cold! The aircon did not have heater option, though the hotel staff did offer a electric heater if needed, which I didn't as I was moving a smaller room. - The basin placement was in the living area so it was quite awkward to be brushing teeth there and then to shower in another area. - The room where the extra bed is could have been opened up for it to be a bigger room. It felt like wasted space. Also, it was dark so it didn't feel right being like that. - Windows should have been cleaned so that the view outside can be appreciated.

price stands mainly for its location. it’s clean but it’s very dusty, stayed there for 5 nights; on the second day the whole room is covered with a layer of white dust, believe it’s from the air con system. room is small compare to the living room space, the bathroom is big but you can’t really make use of the space.

I loved the space for children and there even toys for them to play with, and fun little lights in the floor. Helpful reception staff with good tips and open to luggage storage. Bottled water provided and excellent room service. Very central location for eating and to explore Taichung.

Beds are a bit firm for my liking.

My room had a nice view, it was quite large and the barhroom was large and clean. Well-functioning airconditioner.

There were a lot of spiderwebs in the roof and walls. The room was also quite dark with no option to brighten it up with additional lamps.

perfect location, free breakfast is also quite delicious. overall the hotel exceeded our expectations.
