I had to go to a business meeting, and Villa Mercede seemed like a good option for a short trip with the family. The issue was not the hotel but Frascati as a town; difficult for pedestrians and more intended for people with private vehicles. No taxis were available at night so we needed to walk to reach places with a small kid. The breakfast was great, and the waitress was extremely kind at the breakfast service. Beds, sheets and towels were clean, which is much appreciated in Rome.

The pillows and mattress were super hard, to the point my head ached the first night. Communication was not great; I sent a message requesting a shuttle service from the train station to the hotel without a response. It seems Frascati is more intended for local tourism, so they provide limited information. You have to pay for the water in the minibar. Even while not expensive, it should count as a courtesy for guests.

Villa Mercede was an EXCEPTIONAL stay. The staff provided great communication before my arrival and during my stay, and were always available at the main desk to assist. The room was perfect, with a great view of the complex and Frascati. The facilities were perfect - I used the pool near the Padel courts and had a great experience, having food, drinks, music and relaxation. It was a perfect getaway from the busy city of Rome, and gives you time to experience some bliss. Very good prices for the room, food/drinks, and spa treatments. Only a 15 minutes walk to Frascati train station, and half an hour from Frascati to Rome Termini. Only 15 minutes drive from Rome Ciampino airport. I would absolutely recommend anyone to stay here.

N/A - everything was perfect

- Staff very friendly, helpful & welcoming. - Food was a tad expensive but delicious. It was nice they offer both broader dishes as well as local cuisine. - The gym was small but good & useful to have. - We didn’t use the pool but were grateful for the option. It was nice to relax around. - The A/C in lounges & lounges themselves were well-kept & nice to relax in. - Extremely clean rooms. - Luggage storage available. - Ample parking if you are renting a car.

- The walk to town, while relatively short (15 mins), is a steep uphill walk with cobbles, so quite tricky in the Summer. - It would be useful to have more amenities nearby as everything very much is in town. - An iron & ironing board in the rooms would be helpful. Several of us were visiting for a wedding & so many of the men were surprised there was no iron & because they all flew in they didn’t have time to use the ironing services. Irons are quite standard elsewhere so we were surprised this was not included. - A kettle or coffee would be useful in the room for those mornings where you want a lie-in.

This is a four-star hotel; however, there are no coffee or tea facilities in the room. Except for a shower cap, soap, and shampoo, no other toiletries were provided in the bathroom. There were no tissues in the room. The breakfast was very modest, and if you arrived at the restaurant around 9 AM, almost no warm dishes were left. There was also a strange smell in the corridor.

The rooms are a great size and are incredibly clean. My room was lovely, with lots of natural light coming in during the day, and I had a view of Rome in the distance. The pool was lovely, it's small but large enough for the amount of guests that gather there. I always managed to get a sunbed, too, which was nice. It's intimate and quiet there. The breakfast was excellent. You had such a choice of everything from cereal to hot food like bacon sausages and eggs. The range of cakes and cornetti was incredible, and excellent caffe latte and cappuccino. The breakfast staff were always so helpful and friendly. The staff throughout the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is close enough to the town, about a 10-15 minute walk which is nice to get a bit of exercise in after eating a big breakfast or before eating a big evening meal! :) However, be prepared if going in the summer months as it was between 36 -39 degrees when we were there, and walking anywhere was difficult in that heat. If you want to travel to Rome, it's only 30 minutes on the train direct from Frascati.

We enjoyed the layout of the facility and the view of Rome from our window. The lobby bar was very convenient and the restaurant was simply fantastic. The hotel is within walking distance to the lovely city center of Frascati.

It is a very popular hotel for events where they make use of the pool area making it difficult for us as guests to use it. We were even quite rudely asked to leave the pool as there was a party arriving.

Nice and convenient bar/coffee shop that is open 24/7 and frequented by locals. Very good expresso.

rooms are relatively small, there is plenty of rooms that have noise from the front desk and others that are in the ground floor. The breakfast is extremly good for american standards, but just satisfactory for Eurpoean standards.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fine, but the restaurant and its staff is excellent. they serve very delicious dishes. The shower has a problem initially, but it was quickly fixed , so no complain about that.

The only problem is that you can clearly hear the voice from other rooms or when they use the bathroom. The hotel rated as 4 stars, it is expected that hot bottle and coffee and tea with small cups provide in each room. Also, there is no Toiletries except the hair cap in the room, and bottle of the shampoo and hand soup.

Restaurant and bar / shop on the premises which is handy after long meeting days and because the hotel is about 10-15 mins outside the town centre (so dropping off laptop and walking back not always what you want). Nice breakfast. Mini-bar in the room (no tea/coffee maker).

First room (104) smelly, hot (temp control switched off in winter, although 18 degrees outside and 25 in the room) and padel courts across the road (indoors, but still very noisy). Staff very nice though and changed me to 510 which was fine.

The staff were very kind. The room had a great view. The restaurant had an interesting menu and the dishes were wonderful. The spa was great too.

The pancakes were cold from the fridge and the breakfast was very poor which was a real shame. The mattress was hard and the duvet small (for one person rather than 2 ?) The jacuzzi was a little cold.
