Good location for our needs. Our room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was very nice and I liked that there was a bath mat supplied. It was warm weather, so it was good that the room was supplied with a fan. It made the room a more comfortable environment. Tea and coffee are good. We had a quiet room not at the front of the hotel, which was good. I liked the fact that there was a park for the children here.
The menu was a bit limited, so we only ate here for one night. Didn't spoil the visit at all. The TV reception wasn't great, and we kept losing the signal.

Always very clean rooms and very friendly and helpful staff. Great location for travelling on Le Shuttle.
I stay here often on my own and usually dont try out the restaurant for dinner or breakfast, but I had my first evening meal on this stay. I ordered the fish and chips, but there was no tartar sauce served up with it as per the menu description and I was served a weird mixed up portion of chunky and thin French fries. I was eating out in the garden and the bar was very busy so I didn't bother going in to ask for tartar sauce. Slightly disappointed with my choice of food. Very hot night...could we please have paper or plastic glasses in the room for drinking water etc.

Perfect for a short stay, very friendly staff and accommodating to our needs in staying and dinning with a dog. Room was modern and bed was very comfortable. Nice shower and bath. Restaurant served some lovely food and there were lots of green spaces and longer walks to go on with the dog from the front door. Pub appeared well visited by locals which was nice to see, good sized grounds for children to play and families to visit.
Bath hot tap never got warm enough to have a bath unfortunately, however the shower was not effected in the same way. Bathroom fan was very loud, however we found the switch to turn this on\off ourselves which solved the issue (didn’t not appear to go on/off with light). Noise from the pub was expected, manageable and easy to drown out with the TV, it also stopped before midnight which did not bother us, although if you’re an early sleeper earplugs would be advised.

Nice clean room, decor a little tired but effort had been made to make it presentable and well kept. No mirror in bathroom oddly which wasn't a big problem but some people may expect this. Nice bath/shower arrangement. Teas and coffees in room. Comfortable beds, quiet at night although the walls seem fairly thin so some noise may occur in busier periods possibly. Lovely character building. Staff very helpful. Good breakfast!
There was an overpowering artificial scent smell in the room throughout our entire stay - it could be polish or carpet freshener I guess but I had to open the window much of the time, not ideal in winter. Some stains on the carpet, not a big deal but perhaps these need updating for modern darker carpets (this one was light pink).

Spent 3 nights at The Conningbrook Hotel a few days before Christmas. The check in was very quick as I had filled out the pre check in information 0n line before I arrived. The hotel was beautifully decorated for the season & the staff on duty were very polite & friendly. The room I was allocated was a twin bed room with a bath/shower in a good size bathroom which was pristine clean. The room was a great size & the bed was comfortable. The room's decoration could do with a freshen up but it was immaculately clean.
The only thing I didn't like was the creaky floorboards!!

We stayed there because we wanted to visit Canterbury and were catching the Chunnel the next day, its location was convenient for both. Although it is right by a road, we were not disturbed by that at all during the night. Nor were we disturbed by other noise despite the fact that it is also a Pub and restaurant. Parking is plentiful at the rear and there are two entrances, one directly off the roundabout and one off the Canterbury Road. Staff was friendly and helpful.
The place is all a bit tired and in need of some TLC.

I liked the whole experience, the staff were friendly and helpful. As for me I slept very well. and the room was nice, clean and warm. with a heated towel rail in the bathroom which is a bonus for me. I had toast for breakfast, but my partner had full English breakfast which looked nice, also the menu was varied and more to my taste, particularly the apple/blackerry crumble, additionally the food portions were of a good size and not too expensive. The staff in the dinning room were very helpful and nothing appeared to be too much trouble. Plenty of free car parking and the decor in the Hotel was tasteful. All in all a nice pleasant stay
Unfortunately my partner had a dip in his side of the bed and because we were on the ground floor with a landing over us the noise throughout the night was very unhelpful for my partner, who could not sleep. I would like a drinking glass provided in the bathroom. The leg on the TV was broken although the TV worked

Friendly helpful staff. Lovely big room with en-suite. Tea and coffee facilities, iron and ironing board. Lovely and warm everywhere, which in December was much appreciated. Breakfast cooked to order and value for money. The public bar was open for normal licencing hours, and food was served all day. Plenty of parking. The room rate was better than the bigger named establishments, and the whole place was full of character and comfort. Highly recommended and would not hesitate to stay there again if in that area.
I can think of no aspect that disappointed

When I 1st arrived at the hotel the staff were really considerate and very very helpful getting my stuff to my room. When I asked for an out of hours doctor as 1 side of my face had dropped Alfie said to me he was concerned and had a duty of care to call an ambulance to me which he did. I cannot thank him enough for looking after me. Intact the same can be said about Tom and the rest of the staff they're all A1. Keep up the good work. I will definitely be staying there again.

Location is excellent for our purpose: overnight stop before early Channel crossing. Parking and dining on site makes a good package. Good outdoor spaces for good weather. Staff are generally friendly and helpful.
Room rate significantly higher than on our several previous stays. Bed was comfortable enough, but only a small/standard double. Food this time was OK, but not special. Therefore, we will consider alternatives on our next European trip.
