The Gran Nikko met and even exceeded our expectations during our Tokyo Disney vacation, it is extremely close to both the monorail (We preferred going by foot mostly and not use the free shuttle service), the food was excellent, the rooms were clean and had all the necessary amenities, the staff was kind and did the best it could to meet all our needs. It is an excellent hotel even if your planning to go to the parks in the morning get back to the hotel at noon to rest a bit, and then get back again to the park at the late afternoon (especially useful if you have small children). FYI it is exceptionally close to the new fantasy springs hotel and every time you go by foot to the monorail (about 5 minute walk) you meet the entrance to the "Fantasy springs", overall a great experience and would highly recommend.

Lovely hotel, just disappointed that the pool was an extra charge to use. It would have cost our family of 4 $70 to swim in the pool. The listing doesn't mention this so I felt mis lead (and $70 is crazy for one swim!)

1. The size of the room - Having stayed in Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto where all rooms were quite small but manageable, we loved the size of the this room. It gave us a lot of extra space. 2. Proximity to Disney Resorts - went to Disney Sea and we only needed to exit the hotel, walk maybe 5 mins to the train station and hop on to the Disney train(?) and get off at Disney Sea. 3. The cleanliness of the room - Stayed 2 nights and had our room cleaned every night we were there. It was impeccably clean. 4. The view from the room - We paid a little extra to have a view of the parks and that was well worth the extra money we paid for. It was AMAZING! 5. Staff was AWESOME! They were extremely helpful and very kind and polite. 6. We thought they had a good number of laundry machines and dryers. Both machines worked really well. 7. The hotel (lobby, elevators, restaurants, store, laundry room) was clean and smelled good.

Nothing! We loved our stay!

Property was clean and excellent. We stayed here for one night and were impressed. We entered on the lower level with the ballrooms. Staff on this level were polite and welcoming. Main lobby was very large and open. Nice presentation. Our room was not available yet as we arrived quite early but we left all of our belongings with the staff collecting luggage. We had two checked bags, two large book bags and one camera bag - they held all of it. They asked for return time and we were able to provide a generic timeframe (sometime after check in). Once we came back, we checked in was told our luggage had been delivered to our room - it was a nice unexpected touch. Room was clean and comfortable, bathroom was quite small but I would have stayed here a few more nights. Gift shop staff was so welcoming and pleasant to chat with. Store had Disney items. Buffet breakfast was available and we were there as soon as they opened since we did not have breakfast in our room package - we were told they get busy very quickly. Buffet was a bit expensive but it was convenient and onsite. Food was good and filling but probably would not be our first choice next time. We also ate at the sushi restaurant onsite. Food was very good and filling but also a bit on the expensive side. Again, it was convenient and open at the time we returned. Convenience store was open and nice to get snacks before heading back to the room. We were able to reserve an airport limo bus directly from hotel’s website the morning we left, actually about an hour before the bus was scheduled to arrive. Super convenient and ticket was a QR code emailed to you. Staff at transportation area was polite and made sure we knew where to stand for bus arrival and ensured our luggage made it on the bus. Hotel is walking distance to Disney monorail. You can take a shuttle bus but walking is much easier, even in the rain. Overall, this was a very nice hotel, I would stay again but would plan for food differently.

Such a beautiful hotel and the buffet breakfast was amazing! The lighting in the room and the way it’s decorated was lovely. So close to Disneyland and the airport. Lovely hotel, just so stunning! Have recommended to friends

The pool was amazing but it was a shame to pay so much for only an hour and 30 mins. We wish we knew this earlier considering the weather was so hot. Also, the beds were not comfortable at all. They felt stiff and it made it hard to sleep. The room was nice and big with a balcony but I had booked a sea view and got the car park. I didn’t say anything at the time but that was confusing.

I cannot recommend this hotel more! It's in a great location - right by the monorail for Disney. The lobby is absolutely stunning. The staff are the friendliest and most helpful! I dropped my monorail pass and they helped us look for an hour and found it! I wish we would have stayed here longer. We loved our view of Disneyland from our room. The toiletries and provided pajamas were the best we had during our trip. If you're arriving by train, you can get off at Maihama station and visit the Disney desk to leave your luggage and they will deliver it to your room at the hotel for free. We stayed one night here and then stayed two nights at the Toy Story Hotel. I wish we would have just stayed here all three nights. The Toy Story hotel was more expensive, had a ridiculously long walk to the lobby, and a worse view of the parks. We could see the castle very clearly and if the fireworks weren't canceled I'm sure we could have watched them from our room. I would say this one is a better hotel and even felt more magical.

The convenient store was okay, but it could have more options and better prices. To get to the entrance from the monorail, there is an uphill walk to the door. The hotel would not deliver our luggage to the Toy Story hotel, even though it's across the street.

LOCATION: Near Disney monorail (350M) and there was a shuttle that even brings you to 2 different monorail stations. FACILITIES: See pics, it was certainly no Holiday Inn. VALUE: This felt like a nice hotel, but was 70 USD/night cheaper than the Sheraton or Hilton 1 block over. ROOM: View of the water, good beds, amazing bathroom. Mother was very impressed with the look. DINNER - could use breakfast coupons to get sirloin, spring course meal set, or sashimi bowl

LOCATION: This is a wash. Yes, it's near a Disney monorail station, but a a 350M walk that might be tough on seniors or disabled people. See (above) Breakfast was good, but was overpriced and overrated. Saw better elsewhere.

The room was decent, large and comfortable enough for two people. It's very convenient to reach both Tokyo Disneysea and Disneyland from the hotel as it's just a 5-10 min walk to the Bayside station, walking is definitely faster than taking the shuttle bus. The breakfast buffet was great, with a lot of options, which is why we chose this hotel. They have a booking system for breakfast, but I think it's to avoid long queues in the morning, as everyone will be having breakfast early before going to the Disney parks. Fine by me. We didn't try their lunch or dinner since we mostly ate at the Disney parks. It was also easier to grab some snacks at the shopping mall or supermarket close to Maihama station before going back to the hotel. If you have sunny, clear weather, you can see Mount Fuji from the hotel, even from the breakfast area.

It is a pretty old hotel, so the vibe of it being around for a long time was expected. The beds were a bit hard for my taste and I wish they provided more pillows.

Our stay started with a great shuttle bus from the Disney monorail station. There was also a regular shuttle bus from the main JR station at Maihama. The family room was extremely large and comfortable. We also had a triple room with a park view so a perfect view of the fireworks from Disneyland. The children were well catered for and loved the breakfast buffet that catered for them and the free lollipops in the foyer. A nice touch. We ate at the restaurant because we were tired on arrival, but there is plenty of choice of food at Maihama station. There is a tiny 7/11 in the hotel with all the basics, some small gifts, and an international ATM. It was super easy to get to Disneyland and our stay at this hotel added greatly to our Disney experience. The bathroom was great and the pyjamas were very comfy. The noon check out was very useful.. the children were exhausted after their day at Disneyland and the slow morning was great. We also used the very efficient airport limo service. Just to point out that the limo service doesn’t go to the international terminal and you need to transfer to a free shuttle bus to get there. (Not that this is any reflection on the hotel)

We had no complaints about this hotel at all.

The Grand Nikko Tokyo Bay Maihama was excellent all the way around! Check-in was smooth, and the luggage that we had forwarded from Kyoto was already in our room when we got there. Our room was on the 10th floor with a lovely view of Tokyo Bay. The room was the largest hotel room we had during our two week visit in Japan. There was only two of us, but a family of four with two adults and two children would easily fit in this room. The toilet was separate from the main bathroom, which was a nice surprise. There was a separate shower and tub, with the tub having a view of the bay. A small table with a chair and sofa served as a place to have breakfast or a quick snack. The beds and bedding provided a good night's sleep with the air conditioning keeping the room nice and cool. There was also a small balcony, but no furniture on the balcony. We did not eat in the restaurants, but did purchase items in the small convenience store. The store had the usual things you might need/want i.e., snacks, toiletries, beer, and small "bowls" that contained rice, chicken or pork, veggies, that the clerk would happily warm-up for you in the microwave. The hotel is very close to Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea; it's an easy 5-7 minute walk to the monorail that will take you to either place. Every hotel employee that we encountered was professional and polite and only wanted to make sure our stay was enjoyable. We will definitely be back!

Nothing. Everything met or exceeded our expectations.
