Great location - directly at Kokura station & just a few minutes to the main areas of the town, castle, shopping streets. Comfortable room, kettle, fridge, TV, toiletries (really nice ones) Buffet style breakfast with hot & cold food - was very quiet at all times we attended. Laundry facilities - washer & drier (same u it) Friendly, welcoming staff Room was quiet even though it was above the station

Long corridors to some rooms Room wasn't very clean - initial look was ok, but very dusty in corners, windows dirty & needed a good deep clean. Mattress was comfy but creaked whenever you turned over. Lovely individually cooked omelette at breakfast but no choice to add ingredients.

The rooms were quiet and had a doorbell so you did not have knock on someone’s door. The corridors are long, and the hotel was located in the station. It was easy to visit shopping streets, supermarkets, and eating places. We visited Kokura Castle and walked through town without any trouble. There are supermarkets nearby and plenty of convenience stores.

The lighting is a bit dim in the rooms, especially during early morning and in the evening. It can be hard to put on makeup or do work on the computer. The laundry machines took a while to dry clothes as they were combination washer/dryers.

Perfect location above Kokura railway station. On one side (where my room was) you look out over the Shinkansen station. On the other side (where the breakfast room is) you have a view across the monorail. I presume my room had been recently refurbished because there was no sign of mould mentioned by some other reviewers. Check in and out is through a terminal, but staff are on hand to help. It is beneficial to have Google Translate or something similar. Don't expect a high level of English from the staff. One interesting attraction in the breakfast room is the robot that returns trays somewhere.

The bedrooms have the usual slot for the room keycard to turn on the electricity. However, the hotel had placed cards in the slots so that the air conditioning remained on. This was great, but it also means that if a guest in another room had either left the TV on loud or set up a programme to loop when they checked out, this continues until another guest is allocated that room. I thought there was someone either having an argument or commentating on an exciting sports match. It went on all through the night. I reported this at the reception desk on the next morning. However, the same happened the following night. The staff seemed a bit confused by the concept. This was the only problem with the hotel and, I presume, was an unusual situation,

This was the perfect accommodation for a short stay in Kitakyushu. The location is excellent - you don't even need to leave Kokura station. It feels safe and convenient. Staff was fantastic and very kind. There is a coin laundry on one of the floors and a convenience store just outside. The room is so, so spacious and comfortable. Standard amenities provided. I was particularly fond of the cute origami they left in the room as a welcome gesture. I would book this room again with no hesitation.

Location was superb! Right above the train station, so many restaurants and food options nearby. Shopping also accessible and not too far to walk to Kokura Castle! The gentleman who helped with the parking ticket was nice and made me feel welcome.

Generally in Japan the stickler for check in time is a little annoying. I was not super early just 20 mins but still had to wait. Maybe some hot tea and a snack would have made the wait better.

This hotel directly adjoins the main railway station, which was perfect for us as we used Kokura (Kitakyushu) as a base for exploring the area, with day trips by train to Nagasaki and Beppu, then a quick getaway as we took a very long journey north when we left. We didn't spend much time in the town itself, but Kokura castle is well worth a visit.

Needless leaving of unnecessary supplies (slippers, dressing gowns etc) outside the door each day.

Perfect location, no train noise, great beds, plenty space in room, convenient baggage storage, easy coin laundry. Very good breakfast!

Loud talking from the room next door (1517) after midnight, noisy rustling comforters, hard pillows, squeaking loud faucet noise nearly all night from the room above us. We were in room 1518 and the plumbing noise from 1618 was terrible until 3:30 am. We would not likely stay here again, sleep quality was not a good value for the price paid.

Prime location since it locates right above Kokura station. The entrance is in the station itself, making it super convenient to travel from other cities or to any attractions in the city. The room is spacious and provides good view. Our room locates on 12th floor and it's very quiet. It's just a few steps from the lift and opposite the facility room providing microwave and vending machine. Super convenient for our combi breakfast thanks to the staff. I also found putting on makeup easy because there is a vast window with the area around it to put stuff on. The hotel I like the most from my 3 hotel choices in this trip. There are plenty of restaurants and shops around the hotel. On 7th flr where the lobby locates, you can also easily walk down to the dining floor of AMU Plaza

Perfect location. Within walking distance to a lot of attractions, including Kokura castle, Aruaru mall (KitaKyushu Manga Museum) and Tanga Market. Very comfortable access since it is located in the JR station itself. Lots of food options. Had a great view of the city from the room.

The room was a bit dirty. I can’t even use the pen because it was sticky and dusty, was a bit disgusted by it. Other than that it would have been perfect.

Location and accessibility. Front Desk staff were lovely.

The air conditioner/ heater control was faulty. Staff confirmed that temperature control can be done individually from my room but it didn’t work. Took them quite a while to figure it out and eventually told me it will be controlled from Front Desk. With the language barrier, I was unable to comprehend their explanation. I appreciate that the staff tried really hard to resolve the issue.
