This place is truly lovely. Very clean and very up to date. The accomodation feels really new and modern, while not losing its authentic touch. Breakfast is served on the rooftop patio. Breakfast is really good and the patio is really nice as well. The location is also great, in the old city centre, very close to the eclipse shaped Lucca square. Parking is easy to reach too, by just a small walk. But the most important thing in my opinion is that the 2 hosts are amazingly kind and friendly. I would absolutely recommend this accommodation.

I honestly have no complaints at all

Mirko and Monti are wonderful hosts and so friendly and accommodating. Their guest house is incredibly clean, beautiful, unique and a real labour of love. We had the top floor triple room and the views across the rooftops to the hills beyond were amazing. A fabulous breakfast is served on the lovely, sunny terrace; which is a perfect way to start your day in beautiful Lucca. It is easily one of my favourite places I've stayed and I look forward to returning.

There is nothing I didn't like. It's a wonderful guest house.

Modernized quaint room in an old building, large room, great outdoor terrace for breakfast, friendly host and hostess, location was great, sound proofing was also good as we had a view to Via Fillungo, lovely modern bathroom with a great shower area

Only 1 set of keys to get in and out (need for three keys to get into the room), it would have been great with better reading light, and the bedside light was not individual, would have like to see more hooks in room and bathroom- and shelf in shower, a full mirror in the room would have been nice. policy for change of towels were unclear, internal sound proofing was not that great, pillows in bed were too firm for us

We booked 4 nights in this wonderful apartment but at the end we wanted to stay longer. Unfortunately it was not possible to cancel our other Hotel, because we didn't want to leave. We had a wonderful stay with Monti and Mirco. From the beginning on we felt like home. Mirko helped us with the luggage during arrival, also they provided us information about the parking situation. The location can't be better. directly in the center and only 10 min by foot to free parking area. The rooms were absolutely clean, not even a little bit of dust was visible. The breakfast was very good and everybody was friendly all the time. Bread and everything was fresh from market or bakery! A massage at Monti is a must! For us it was a wonderful stay in an insane hotel which looks like out of a magazine. We felt like home and wanna come back. If you also interested in design, this hotel is a must. Breakfast on the terrace was wonderful with a perfect view over Lucca. They also gave us very good tips for diner, wine and food. Love you guys, see you next time :-)

Wow! Where to begin - Mirko and Montie are incredible hosts! This is an extension of their home and it shows. It’s modern, clean, in an old building, but with all the new fixtures of home! Great beds, comfortable HVAC, wonderful breakfast and simply charming. The hosts are simply amazing too. They provided great restaurants, some required advance reservations, which they tried securing for us, to no avail, but gave us great back ip suggestions. They were so helpful navigating the Italian greetings in 5 different airlines that would not take responsibility for lost luggage because of itinerary changes due to mechanical issues and even called us at our next city - Firenze with an update on our luggage. And location! This place is a 5 minute walk from the main gate and conveniently located to many restaurants and bars and shopping.

It did not bother us, but it is at the top of many flights of stairs. There is an elevator for luggage, but closed off after 6:00pm.

The entire experience was fantastic and we absolutely loved this place and being hosted by Monty and Mirko. They are such a lovely couple and really make you feel welcome and at ease. They have done an incredible renovation job on the property, to a very high standard. The location in the old town is perfect for exploring on foot (or by bike). We especially enjoyed breakfast out on the terrace in the sun while chatting to Monty and Mirko.

Very calm, beautifully rennovated / decorated Guest House, with wonderful terrace and generous (kind & friendly) owner / staff. The room size was great (large) and had a beautiful over rooftops to the green mountains / hillside view. Super shower & bathroom suit, also very spacious. Great location and despite it being busy outside on the street, the Guest House was super quiet.

Very minor, no tea & coffee in the bedroom - a Nespresso (/ other brand) machine would have been great.

Mirko and Montira were very welcoming and perfect hosts. Late check in was no problem. Our room was perfect, very quiet spotlessly clean and has a pared back minimalist style, which we like. Breakfast was lovely with bonus homemade savoury and cake, all taken in a beautiful rooftop terrace. We could not recommend this accommodation more highly, and hope to return in the near future.

Everything matched exactly the description and photos, with an updated, modern bathroom, and a comfortable bed. (Important because I have back issues.) The AC worked perfectly. The place was immaculate, with a charming garden terrace, Though there’s a bistro or two nearby, the place was very quiet at night. The breakfast was very good with a varied, plentiful continental breakfast, scrambled eggs, and cappuccino made at my inquiry with almond milk. What truly made our experience delightful was Monte’s warm and vivacious welcome. She offered several suggestions from places to visit, local restaurants to try (where locals eat), and a good bike shop (Pro Classic), where the mention of her name garnered us a heavy discount on our bike rentals. Biking the wide, intact, huge fortress walls, shaded nearly the entire way by stately, beautiful trees and lined with benches, was a wonderful experience. Wish we had budgeted more days for Lucca because Mirko and Monte’s guest room and this medieval fortress city were truly gems, more worthy of our time and focus than the multi-day stays in both hilltop towns’ Old Town, Montepulciano and San Gimignano.

My Guest House was a fabulous place to call home for two nights! The rooms were spacious and well appointed and I so appreciated having a lift to move luggage up the stairs… breakfast on the beautiful patio was delicious and a great way to start the day….I was so grateful that our host Mirko picked us up from the train station as well as giving us a brief tour of beautiful Lucca… his dining recommendations were excellent as well as this turned out to be one of my favorite meals of my Italy trip!
