The room was very nice and everything was very clean. They allowed us an early check-in, and the whole process was very easy. Coffee was good for hotel coffee and offered all day till late evening and was always filled and fresh. The pool was nice. The staff was great, very friendly and courteous. Tv channels were few, but they did have showtime. The location was perfect and close to all the activities we went to do in Scranton. Overall, I was very satisfied and would stay at Hampton Inn Scranton again.

I did not like the refillable bottles for shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion. I feel anyone could tamper with those, and we did not use the product. I would much rather have the little bottles that are sealed.The trash cans in the room were so small it was a bit annoying. The breakfast could have been a little better, and maybe have some sausage or bacon no meat was offered at all. The waffle maker was so small, and the line for it was crazy. Maybe they should add a second waffle maker.

The property was clean, quiet and welcoming. The pool also stayed open until 12 which was amazing. The continental breakfast was ok for what it was I really only wanted coffee and fruit. However they had eggs, waffles and sausage. The location was convenient to Montage Mountain which was only 8 minutes away and close to Walmart which was 13 minutes away. Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating.

We were initially put on the second floor which is currently undergoing renovations. The toilet wasn’t working and the room had an old smell.

We stayed one night on our way north. The hotel is easy to locate next to I81. The room is a nice size with desk and couch. It had a microwave and mini fridge. The bathroom has 2 sinks, one on the outside of the bathroom and the other in the bathroom. Could be usefull but we didn't use the outside one. The shower had good pressure. The bed was very comfortable.

The room seems a bit dated. I noticed that the place was under some refurbishment.

It was clean, quiet, and the food was great. This would have definitely been on our radar for the frequent trips we make to Scranton, however, see comment 2.

When we checked on Thursday (2 nights) and we asked about adding a third night and was advised that we could just come on Saturday and add the third day with a different credit card.  my husband came down and the person he spoke to advised that, because we used booking.com they could not add the third day. He explained what he was told by staff on 1st day & they ended up taking the card to see if they could add extra day. To their surprise they said it allowed them to do it. I received my credit card statement already and it says that you charged my card for the third day & not the card he gave you on Saturday to charge. On top of that we were quoted $171.xx for the third day and my card was billed an additional $204.59. Make it make sense.

We were on travel through to a next location, but liked that the hotel was close to major highway, restaurants for our stopover. Staff was friendly, hotel was quiet, rooms were spaceous.

The matrass was quite hard for all of us but ok for 1 night. The breakfast could have had a bit more options eg cheese, meat cuts, boiled eggs

Very clean, friendly employees. Exceptional value. I’ve paid double for suits like this. Honest people. I left a expensive watch in or room, I called 2 days later and the house keeper turned it in. I had them ship it back to me. Thank you to all the staff. I call this paying it forward. May goodwill shine down on you. Jim B

It would be nice if a restaurant was in house.

Excessive charge for pets. This is pure profit. I know everyone else charges for pets. They make more money from pets than they do for the room. There are no extra cleaning for my pets.

It was a great location for our baseball tournament.

On Booking, I chose pay at the property. However, at 11;57, I received a notice from my credit card that my card was charged for my room several hours before I arrived at the property. This is the first instance of such. Any other property I am not charged until I check in and am physically at the property.

Nothing within walking distance. Got excited to see a brewery right behind it, only to find out it was closed for good! Also called the property for rates and got a hotline that tried selling me a different hotel in the chain cheaper.
