I had a pleasant one-night stay at Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Calgary Downtown. The overall experience was good. The room was comfortable and well-maintained. However, I was surprised that overnight parking incurred a $21 charge. I opted to park outside, taking advantage of the free parking from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. This did not pose any inconvenience, as I left early the next morning. Overall, it was a comfortable stay.

Offering more free parking options, especially for overnight guests, would be appreciated. This could enhance the value proposition for guests.

The location was excellent and close to all needed amenities. Loved the pool and ability to take a swim during the stay! Valet parking and staff were very efficient with us and good to work with. Clean lobby and hallways.

Less about “not like” and more about observation a during stay te environment. The toilets are quite low for your older clients and there are no grab bars to hold onto to transfer on/off. I know there are disability friendly rooms but I would consider making a standard for this by toilets and tub area to safely get in and out for your older clientele as the baby boomers continue to increase in numbers. Or install higher toilets. The air conditioning did not seem to be at high enough level with heat during out stay and in public spaces like the elevators. Plastic cups in bathroom would be helpful.

We had a wonderful stay at Ramada Calgary! The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of downtown, making it easy to walk around, grab food, and explore the city. We also really loved having a balcony to enjoy the city views and fresh air. The valet parking was such a great convenience, and the valet attendant who helped us when we arrived around 4–5pm was extremely nice and welcoming (wish I remembered his name!). The front desk staff were also fantastic—especially the kind Korean lady who gave us helpful tips on how to get around the city and make the most of our stay. For the price, this hotel is a great value. The room is clean and comfortable, Overall, Ramada Calgary is a great choice if you want a comfortable stay, excellent value, and outstanding staff service in the middle of downtown. I’d definitely stay here again!

I really liked the room layout—it was spacious and well-designed. The location was excellent, making it easy to get around the city. Cleanliness was top-notch, and the overall ambiance of the hotel was pleasant.

While the stay was comfortable, I had hoped for a few more amenities. Complimentary bottled water (at least two per day) would have been appreciated. There were no free essentials like a toothbrush or toothpaste, and I missed having extra bin bags, paid premium movie options, and in-room food service. Also, the absence of a safe in the room was a bit disappointing.

The hotel is very central and we could easily walk around the city. Train station is also nearby and the bus stop is also nearby hence perfect location to get around without the need for a car. The room is spacious enough for 4 of us. The staff at lobby were all very friendly and helpful. Although on main street, there wasn't much noise hence we all slept peacefully. we could also store our luggage on the day we checked-out as our flight wasn't until at night. All well taken of and recommended.

Aircond vent was dripping a bit hence need a bit of maintenance.

Location is amazing right in downtown! Ladies from the breakfast were very nice. Veda were very comfortable and the rooms big!

In the rooms, is missing a big mirror, cups in the wc and hangers for the towels. Breakfast needs to improve: missing cheese, ham, some other fruit, some other bread, pastries… what is presented is packed… not so attractive…which is a petty! On the last day we had no housekeeping, neither proper hot water… By checking out the lady was not so ‘hospitality’ focused: “ok… we have a cc in the system, all is good!” Could have asked about the stay , if we enjoyed, how was the room, etc etc When we asked the night before the directions, the answer was: you can take the bus or a taxi. Simple as that! ( which bus? How much the taxi roughly?)

Probably the best location in the city. I could get to many places easily by walking. I'm sure it would be really nice to come during the summertime when it's not too cold to walk around the downtown area. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, staff was friendly and polite!

Parking is not Free; I understand that they are located in downtown, and nothing is free, but it was a shock when we realized it was not free. they really tried to make the price fair by making the parking location secure and spotless; I really appreciate that.

The location is awesome! Very close to all downtown Calgary attractions. The rooms were clean and the front desk staff were great. The cost was also very reasonable.

The decor is dated which one would expect given the low cost of the rooms. I did have a problem with the roof top pool deck. We went out there before 9pm and there was no lighting at all. Also there was a serious security issue in that access to the pool deck did not require a room card. We just walked in. Anyone could gave walked in off the street, which is a huge problem in that area! Also, guests should be aware that the parking garage will not accommodate vehicles over 6ft!! There is surface parking reasonably close by, though.

The downtown location and proximity to the train station was perfect for our diverse needs.

Initially, parking was a problem - and expensive - but once we were able to get a spot in the valet parking, it was great. The parking attendants were super. The bath surround is in need of a redo. I don’t understand why hotels allow something like that to spoil their image, given the money one spends to stay. Breakfast was a bit pricey.

Great location and the room was fine. A small fridge in the room would've been great. The staff was friendly and helpful. There was a buffet breakfast that was really good and valet parking available.

The air conditioning in the building was not working. It was not the fault of the hotel but there was no communication about that. I found out when I called the desk to say that I couldn't turn the air conditioning on. There was a window that opened, but it had no screen. The staff did provide a discount, which was much appreciated.
