The Gem is aptly named, as it is exactly that. We could not have wished for better hosts, as Estelle and her husband, Olivier, are delightful, very friendly and really helpful. The location of the property is perfect, as we were able to walk to everything the city has to offer. Our rooms were beautifully decorated, spacious and very comfortable.Breakfast was copious and delicious, with evry attention given to obtaining gluten free options for a family member who was travelling with us. We all wished we could have stayed for longer.

This property is a real 'gem' in Amiens. The location is a short walk into town and to the Cathedral and the water gardens. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. Parking on the road outside was always available and an added bonus it was free at the time of our stay in July.

Room and general setting was really nice and good natural temperature. Nice personal touch with Vegemite. Good helpful info for battlefields

Breakfast was very basic- continental. Could be improved with a cereal option-Granola,muesli etc and possibly some really nice fresh fruit

We liked the intimacy of The Gem, only a few rooms nestled in a private courtyard.

Parking was tricky but there a several public lots around to choose from

Couldn’t open any windows and or there was no fan. A little warm at night. The bathroom door was difficult to shut.

Beautiful hotel in an excellent location. We had the family suite on the top floor which was perfect. The beds were very comfortable and it was beautifully furnished. The breakfast was delicious. Very quiet and comfortable. We will definitely be back!

The Gem is ideally located for a few days in Amiens, the heart of the city centre is all within easy walking distance. We didn't need the car during our stay so having free parking at the end of the road was really helpful. Recommendations for dinner options were spot-on and really good bread, croissants, coffee and juice for breakfast. The room was spacious, comfortable and peaceful. This was a much better option than similarly priced chain hotels.

The family that run the hotel are so welcoming, friendly and helpful, the location is great and the facilities are amazing. The rooms are large and spacious and the beds are huge, and so comfortable.
