This place is as the name suggests, Antique. My room even had the original adobe walls, you could see horsehair and feathers embedded in the bricks, but under glass. Very clean, very comfortable bed - which I am picky about - optimum location for seeing the old town and the Parque Fundadora, a huge green space with arts and museums. I brought my own conditioner, as other reviewers noted none is provided. And even though I had a street-facing room, it was quiet at night.

The wifi was not always great. This was only an issue though on work meetings where I had 15 people on a video call.

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They were always available through Whatsapp. I didn't even have to check in at a reception desk. They did everything virtually. It was super convenient and easy, especially with the language difference. The location was excellent. Walking distance from local restaurants, bars, cafes, and shops. Very homely experience without it feeling like a tourist trap.

Amenities are somewhat limited. Expect to pack all of your toiletries, because the hotel will not be able to provide it. They will give a bar hand soap and a bottle of shampoo. Also, pack a loofah or a sponge, because all of the wash cloths are hand towel size. However, there are a ton of OXXO stores nearby where you can purchase toiletries. We were sad that the pool was closed, because it looked amazing from the pictures. But we were too busy exploring Monterrey to even have time to swim.

Location, location, location! Hotels Antigua Santa Lucia in Barrio Antiguo is the very epitome of a boutique hotel. The property is well appointed. Walking distance to a ton of restaurants, bars, shops, museums, and assorted cultural events. The room was spacious, clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff was very attentive and courteous. On a side note, there is a delicious little bar/cafe just across the way: La Casa del Panque -- from breakfast to a late-night cap. Already recommended Hotels Antigua to our most persnickety of friends.

Great location, close to MacroPlaza, museums, Barrio Antiguo, restaurants, etc.. The room was very nice. The bathroom was super spacious. The nearby "house restaurant" - La Casa del Panqué - is a wonderful quaint gem - staff, location, food choices and quality. I also loved its proximity to a nearby neighborhood with a grocery store and outdoor food vendors.

My only disappointment was that the hotel was doing a small remodel that was just outside of my room. I would have appreciated notification from the staff, just a heads up. Still, it had no effect on the enjoyment of my room and my stay; and the construction guys were quite kind and mindful of my coming and going.

Lovely hotel. Well equipped and well cared for, very clean and comfortable. Very close to museums, restaurant district, and other tourist attractions, and able to walk around during the day with no problems. I wish I could have stayed here more.

Check-in process is somewhat inconvenient. You need to communicate with the hotel before you arrive, let the staff know when you arrive via whatsapp, and check in at the office in a separate building.

The location is perfect it is a few steps from restaurants and the famous Paseo de Santa Lucía. The room was very clean and had all the amenities mentioned, and the staff was really nice and they responded really fast when we contacted them by What's App.

The only thing that I didn't like was that the door doesn't have a curtain, so in the morning when the sun rises also your room gets a lot of light so you might wake up earlier than expected.

Kind of a strange little place. Everything is electronic so I never saw one person. I did not see anyone who was staying there and no one was working there. They send you codes to get in. Everything a person could need was available in the very clean and well-designed room. The location was very good, a short walk to the fun pedestrian area with restaurants, and in another direction the city center. It was an unbelievable value.

Kind of lonely. No food available. But one can't have everything at that price.

Clean and comfrotable and well located neat the canal and old town. Limited facilities but plenty of breakfast / coffee areas in the neighbourhood. Great option if you don't spend much time in the hotel and just want a convenient place to sleep.

Confusing check-in as the property is split into 3 buildings but resolved very quickly.

The room was big, nice decor. Staff on phone were friendly and accommodating.

The instructions to get to the right place were confusing. When booked, it is not clear that there are three properties called Hotel Antigua on the same block. It would be better to say so, and explain which one is being booked (e.g. north side, etc). Pool was out of service.

Very beautifully furnished. Good location. There is a great restaurant nearby, Casa de Panque which I highly recommend is closely and open all day. Great for breakfast but for other meals as well.

No heat in the room that I could find...I could be wrong. It is on a bit of a sketchy street with construction but in a good location.
