Rustic charm just a few minutes drive to Wakefield. Comfortable room with great amenities to keep you warm and toasty from the snow! We had access to the whole ground floor with kitchen, cosy fireplace, sofas aplenty and even a sauna! Host was charming, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was generous and freshly cooked. Great stay.

Tiny tiny niggle - didn’t realise until we got there but totally understand that we had to leave our snowy boots at the door but we didn’t have another pair of shoes so we were walking around in our socks - would have loved a pair of slippers! To go with the cosy dressing gowns provided! - if it’s not in house rules - it could be and I overlooked it - it should advise guests to bring indoor shoes/slippers. Just a tiny teeny niggle in an otherwise fabulous stay.

The breakfast was so delicious and plentiful!! It was a very quiet location and even with other guests, the living area and rooms were quiet. The location was perfect for our trip which was a visit with friends near by. The town of Wakefield offers hiking trails, kayaking/ canoe access and I believe rentals as well as a good selection of restaurants, a couple of bakery’s and some shopping. We had dinner at Le Hibou and the food was delicious!

Chris our host was very accommodating. We had everything we needed. Facilities were superb and so was our room. Breakfast was outstanding. Beautiful relaxing outdoor patio and conveniently located just 25 minutes from downtown Ottawa and minutes to the village of Wakefield QC for strolling and dining.

Host met us and provided a thorough tour, but then left us to enjoy the property. We were made to feel very welcome

We booked because it appeared to be walking distance from the centre of town but there wasn't really a safe way to walk, no footpaths. Not the fault of the venue but something to note if you plan on walking to town.

Spacious room, elegantly furnished with very comfortable beds. The common spaces (kitchen, sitting room) were bright, beautiful and cozy. Chris made a wonderful breakfast which we enjoyed in the garden. It was a treat!

Chris and Jessica are super hosts, they really did everything they could to make us feel welcome. They adapted the breakfast for a gluten free diet and it was delicious. The space is beautiful, quiet and close to restaurants and services.

It was our first B & B. Chris was very friendly and answered all our questions regarding about B&B’s. The breakfast was super with lots of choices. More than what we expected as quantity of food. The whole experience was super and we thank you again Chris.

La Grange is a wonderful place! A great kitchen, dining and lounge area. Chris was ver accommodating. Just a beautiful spot. We biked up from Ottawa and had a great time.

It was a repeat experience and just as good the second time. We'll come back. The host was very welcoming and his timing was excellent, early coffee, check, delicious breakfast, check, general ambience, perfect!

We loved the place and were not disappointed. The service was excellent. It was a very nice place to stay close to Ottawa. We hadn't realized we could do our own cooking, otherwise we would have planned accordingly.
