We booked a room with a standalone tub facing the large windows, this was fabulous and very comfortable. I loved that they had bath bombs available for purchase, I chose "calme". Dinner at La Muse was outstanding. One of the best dinners my partner and I have ever had. We loved all the extra little touches (like the amuse bouches) -- but the best part were the staff. Our waiter was very knowledgeable on the menu and each dish was described in detail and with an impeccable presentation. We will certainly return for the restaurant alone!

I would love to see a cold plunge or cold shower next to the barrel sauna and outdoor hot tub, more seating around the pool would be nice (with tables), towels by the pool would be great (we forgot ours in the room).

The rustic charm and quiet scenery. The dinners and breakfast we had far exceeded our expectation and were top notched. One of our servers mentioned the hill up from the hotel where we went for a walk to find the MacLaren cemetary where one of our former prime ministers Lester B Pearson was buried and had a lovely history lesson of our beautiful country. Drove to see the covered bridge and went into a lovely bakery along the way.

Absolutely nothing

Could not have chosen a better location to celebrate a 50th anniversary - peaceful surroundings, excellent food, friendly and professional service, and relaxing spa facilities all made for a great weekend. Wakefield has interesting little stores in which to poke around too. Definitely recommend this for a nice escape.

Pretty well all was to expectation.

The staff were wonderful from reception to the dinner service. The room was comfortable for the most part, we really liked the bed and the pillows.

The bathrooms doors offer very little privacy, which we didn’t like very much. The curtains aren’t really black out curtains so the light comes through in the morning. We were in the Eco river part which isn’t actually part of the main hotel, made it a bit harder to use the hot tub near the waterfall, there is another one close by but I would stay in the main hotel next time. The restaurant was overpriced for the quality of the meal, we went to La Muse and did the 3 course table d’hôte, I would go elsewhere in town, none of the courses were exceptional for the price.

What a nice 2 night stay at Wakefield mill. We had 2 deluxe rooms in the main Mill building. The rooms were very comfortable, rustic and had lots of space. We had a lovely view over the river. We had lunch and dinner at the Heron bistro, the food was excellent. We had breakfast at the main restaurant and it was also excellent, with attention to presentation. The staff in general was very welcoming and friendly. The General Manager came to speak with us the first morning of our stay and recommended some local walks in Wakefield town. Two members of our party had a massage at the spa, which they thoroughly enjoyed. We didn't try the outside spa, however, it looked really welcoming by the river. The outdoors facilities are really nice, with the red Adirondack chairs and the gardens. We will absolutely return if we are in this area.

Heritage room was gorgeous. Lots of space for us to sit and relax. Waterfall view is amazing even during winter. The bar and restaurant staff is courteous and friendly. We spent our 20th anniversary weekend at the hotel. They gave us the nicest room with a little card and a gift wishing us.

Amazing views and sounds of nature. We spotted a beautiful Heron too. The hot tub and sauna overlooking the falls and river was spectacular and very relaxing. I have been speaking to Lilly prior to booking and she was so kind and friendly along with her coworkers. We highly recommend staying at the Mill.

Large high ceiling rooms, comfortable beds, very clean.

We booked a table for 4 people (2 couples) at the Muse restaurant. Although there were a lot of free tables on the terrace, we were refused to be seated there because of the restaurant policy. It should be only a single couple to get a table on the terrace. While placing the hotel booking, I warned them that my husband is in a wheel chair. When we arrived, it appeared the room that was assigned to us was at the very end of the hallway on the top floor. Way far from the elevator. Makes me wonder what could have happened in the event of a fire?

The room was nice with comfortable beds. I liked that the hotub and pool were close by and open until 11pm. The outside spa area is also super cute at nighttime, and there are many things to do around the hotel since it was in such a great area.

Our room unfortunately didn't have a view of the river/waterfall, which would have been nice. Wifi could be better as well.

Very characterful, both in the rooms and public areas. The dining experience was superb in both the main restaurant and bar areas. The location, right on the river, close to the Gatineau trails and walking distance of Wakefield is perfect if you like to get out and about.

Nothing to dislike.
