The bed - sooooo deliciously comfortable! The rest of the room was fitted out well and the kitchenette had everything you need. The bathroom was compact but light and airy, again with everything you need. And the air con in the Grafton summer heat was a blessing indeed! The room was spotless and everything in it was too. The pool was in a private setting with lovely gardens and a covered seating area and everything was clean and well presented. The whole hotel/gardens were. There are also shops/eateries/servos/a shopping centre within easy walking distance. It was school holidays when I stayed and of course you hear people/kids around but actually, once in the room, it wasn't intrusive (I'm very sensitive and like/need a quiet room). The Managers there were filling in for the owners and were nothing but helpful. I mainly dealt with Wendy and she made me feel very welcome, handling any questions in a friendly professional manner (including an initial hiccup about how many nights I was staying that had been caused due to an error/misunderstanding in the booking process - not through the hotel. Wendy sorted it all out and made sure I received the kind of room I'd requested). I had some family with small kids come to visit for the day and they too were made to feel welcome which was so good of Wendy and her husband. A very enjoyable stay.

Not much!! I guess one thing would be that the hotel no longer offers breakfast and this wasn't made clear on the booking site I used and is also still advertised as available on the room keys (even then, some breakfast kits had been made available for purchase in the office). Also, in the interests of those of us who like/need a quiet place to stay, there were some road closures out the front of the hotel due to some repairs happening on one of the local bridges, which I think caused there to be less traffic at the time of my stay (which was great!). Obviously I don't know how much this would impact the quiet factor under normal circumstances, however it's not a major city road and everything quietens down a lot after business hours.

Left Brisbane in the afternoon and wanted to drive a nice distance to rest and maximise our travel time to Sydney. At about 7pm we decided Grafton was a great stopping point. Booked this with ease. Let owner know our expected arrival time and he called to give us instructions for arrival. We tried to be as quiet as possible for the other guests of course but in our room it was quiet. The motel is also in a very peaceful area of Grafton. We left early but would happily book this as a half way point in future.

Leigh was extremely helpful and friendly with organising a late check in. Bed was comfortable, room size great, bathroom clean with great water pressure. Huge pool with BBQ area. Quiet even though it's close to a main road and city centre. It's our first choice whenever working in the area.

The only downfall for us is finding a parking spot when we finish work late at night. The carpark ia usually full by the time we get there. However there is a large vacant lot out the back that always has places.

This place was great! Newly renovated. Clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and let us check in early. The pool, hot tub and bbq were awesome. Exactly as shown on the pictures. Walking distance to absolutely everything in the town (river, pubs, picturesque churches, cafes and shops). Loved it and would recommend! Kitchenette includes a kettle, microwave and toaster. There was plenty of space to unpack and settle in. Really loved our stay.

Only tiny thing, a bbq scraper at the bbq would be really handy to make cleaning it easier.

It was my first time staying at the Fitzroy motel Arrived & greeted by friendly staff at reception. The room didn't disappoint me either. The room was clean, comfortable & quiet, all that I needed for my one night stay. Also very conveniently located close to tbe main shopping area and also close to the function I was attending while in Grafton. Will definitely stay at the Fitzroy again when travelling to Grafton

The motel was in an ideal location close to main CBD & also in close proximity to the event I was attending in Grafton. I was aware that breakfast was not available so took my own. Crockery, cutlery, microwave, toaster & tea making facilities available in the room. A very pleasant stay once again. Will always endeavour to stay at the Fitzroy when I visit Grafton again.

Location: within walking distance to the Grafton Shoppingworld and main street cafes and short drive from our event. Staff: very welcoming - both office and cleaning staff. not in your face all the time, but certainly gave the impression that they were available if needed. Definitely my first option if I need accommodation in Grafton.

This was a very comfortable and neat and clean little hidden gem hidden away in Grafton, I was very impressed with the hotel in general, every surface was clean and tidy and I really felt comfortable and relaxed when I was staying here, the swimming pool and spa are really great to, I was very impressed over all with this place. It's very nice indeed

Lovely little cottage which still felt spacious and was a fantastic find for the price. The rooms were great sizes, beds were comfy and the bathroom was quite large. Lots of lovely period features about the property made it feel quite homey. The reception staff was also really nice and very helpful.

Great location with easy access to all of Grafton's amenities. Our refurbished room was very spacious with comfortable bed and a sofa and had everything you needed for a stay with basic cooking facilities too. Staff were helpful and friendly

Refurbished room was lovely but the bathroom let it down by looking very tired
