This is an older motel, and the decor is slightly dated, but it was extremely comfortable. The location is quiet and it's easy to access local restaurants. I gave the high score because the service was fantastic! Our host Jeremy was extremely helpful when we needed to alter our booking, and also with providing information about local restaurants and transport options if we didn't want to drive. There was also fresh milk provided! These little touches made everything easy and we felt like treasured guests, not just customers. We will definitely stay here again as it's a convenient, affordable stopping point between Sydney and the Sunshine Coast.

New owners since I last stopped there. Pleasant and friendly. The place is super clean and comfortable. Was impressed that they have EV charging stations available. Early check-in allowed me time to walk up to the commercial part of town, which is delightful The new owners are obviously slowly updating some areas

The hot water tap in the bathroom did not work, and the shower fittings need updating.. Still no power points near the beds, which is annoying l. Minor irritations

Great location, very comfortable room and bed. The fact that the Manager/owner was willing to open our room & turn on aircon, knowing we would arrive after office was closed. It is a great stopping off point on our trip to Brisbane. There is a swimming pool which other members of our family made use of. Situated right next to the Magnificent Clarence River, and a short walk to the shops & hotels/clubs.

What's not to like?

Lovely motel. Not new or top notch facilities but sufficient for very comfortable overnight stay as a stop/rest for our long drive and quick visit to Yamba. Lots of information supplied about local areas and things of interest if visiting the area. Can tell owners and staff take care and pride in the place. Accommodated our late check in easily.

Room was clean enough but fridge still had food scraps and expired milk. Not a big deal.

The motel was immaculately presented. New bathroom, good a/c. Nice outdoor area. While an older style motel, the managers are taking great pride in providing a restful experience. They were friendly and very keen to assist in any way. I’d highly recommend this. It’s a short and easy walk into town too for dinner and a wander.

The double room was small but that’s the way they were built back then. Nothing that needed addressing.

Comfortable beds. Walking distance to BP and close to town for supermarket (IGA and SPAR open to 8pm most days). Jeremy was very friendly and very knowledgeable. Went to Maclean lookout at his recommendation, and amazing views. We also did Illuka lookout and walked the breakwall. Beautiful area. Ate at the local Chinese which had generous sized servings.

We had been travelling all day and arrived late at night. The room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. It was good value for the price and was a great place to stay the night for long trips. The staff at reception were very friendly. Would definitely stay there again. Maclean is a lovely town to visit.

Location of accommodation just off the motorway. Close to petrol station and food/pub minutes away. Loved the river running along the accommodation. Accommodation does have a pool but the weather was too cold to use this time around.

Not much to complain about. Accommodation is used by workers so it can be a little noisy.

Our room was clean, tidy and very spacious! Bathroom was exceptional! Check-in was a great experience. We were offered help with putting bags in room! We requested a Downstairs room and this was not a problem. Will definitely be back.

That the microwave was under the TV and not near kettle and toaster. 😝

We have been staying here for many years as part of our holiday journey. We have every reason to continue to do so.

Can be noisy if groups of workers are staying also, on a previous stay. The owners have assured us that they will encourage these groups to congregate away from the Motel; after 10pm. We are happy with this assurance.
