Everything went well and it was very good value for money. After arriving we had a very good dinner downstairs. There was a bar fridge with milk and yoghurt as well as cereal, tea, and coffee for breakfast- simple but just what we needed.I did bring my own gluten-free cereal. The hotel/pub is beautifully located being right on the Clarence River and the little town as some lovely older buildings.

The bathrooms were shared, which is fine, we knew that in advance. They could be spruced up a bit but the old pub is looking very good overall and seems well maintained.

If you are a fancy type of person, this hotel isn't for you. It's a typical pub stay in the middle of the town that has approximately 400 population. It's dated. It's not fancy. But it's amazing and has so much character. I absolutely fell in love with this town and pub. They have these amazing pictures in the walls upstairs where the accomodation is and an amazing verandah to sit on. They had lovely food for dinner. Bed and room was comfy. Seperate toilets and showers. Several so no line ups. We stayed on a Tuesday so the pub wasn't open late and wasn't too noisy even though they had a function on until 7pm. There's were lizards and wildlife everywhere and amazing seats by the Clarence River to enjoy a bevy. Definitely can't wait to come back here

Everything was perfect in my opinion.

The hotel is situated in Ulmarra, a small town north of Grafton, which has plenty of small arts and craft stores so well work taking some time to go for a walk during the day. We had pizza for dinner at the hotel's restaurant, which included veg. options and the food was pretty good. We were a bit apprehensive at first on the shared bathrooms but there were plenty of options all lockable so wasn't an issue. Staff were very pleasant and accommodating. The included, in room, breakfast offering was quite good. Would definitely look to staying again.

Well, a family member sustained an injury, not at the hotel, and we had to extend our stay by 3 days. The staff were extremely helpful, catered to our needs, caring and understanding! They ALL went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. We enjoyed the sunsets from the verandah over the Clarence River, the food at the restaurant downstairs, the little local shops that lined the street, and the warm and friendly staff.

We have absolutely nothing bad to say about the Hotel.

Easy check-in, friendly staff, room was clean, bed was comfortable and warm, shared bathroom was clean and beaut view of the river while in there. Breakfast in room with a variety of cereals, milk, apples, and yoghurt's, tea, coffee, and hot chocolate. Great variety of meals downstairs to enjoy with a cold beer. I just hung a towel over the sheer curtain, so it wasn't an issue for me at all. Lovely verandah with the beautiful river a few steps away. Great pub in a beautiful location. Would absolutely stay here again.

The dinner and friendly atmosphere of a little country town tucked away like this is amazing. A short walk to the Clarence River to watch the sunrise was just amazing. Chatting to a local and having a laid back conversation was felt just like home as I travelled from Camden.

I could not fault my stay at the Ulmurra Hotel. The good vibe of an old style pub with all of its character is something to be cherished. Its an area of true Australia friendship and vibes. Having a drink with the locals in front an open fireplace.

We wanted to stay in an authentic Australian hotel and this fitted the bill perfectly. The room was small but comfortable. We enjoyed the verandah The meal in the evening was good and the bonus breakfast was welcome.

So many reviews have mentioned the lack of privacy because there are no curtains at the verandah doors. The management obviously don’t care! Maybe this is authentic but it wasn’t comfortable.

A wonderful heritage building in a gorgeous town. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Great bed linen. The shared bathroom facilities were perfectly adequate but nothing special. They were clean though. We ate at the restaurant and the food was good and staff were friendly. You can sit out on the lovely balcony - we watched a rain storm which was cool.

One night stop in on our way to our final destination. Staff were friendly, rooms were clean and comfortable. Bistro meals seemed reasonable and the pizza we had was excellent. A light breakfast on the balcony was a great way to start the day. We are considering actually planning a holiday specifically to Ulmarra and would definitely stay here after our experience.

We genuinely did not have any complaints regarding the accomodations.

The ambience, creature comforts of home, and welcoming service. The garden is inviting with luscious green gardens overlooking the Clarence River, plenty of room, and child friendly. All rooms have their own access to the balcony, giving you a private spot for respite. The food was delicious.

Only suggestion and I had to think hard would be to add some additional lighting to the beer garden in the evening.
