The location of the accommodation is perfect – everything is within easy reach: the cable car, hiking trails, shops, and restaurants. Besides the great location, our room was very comfortable. It was nicely designed, cozy, and the bathroom was spacious and – most importantly – very clean. The bed was also comfortable; the mattress was a bit firm for our taste, but that’s just a personal preference. Breakfast was tasty, although a bit repetitive – it would be nice to have more vegetables – but it was still perfect fuel before hiking. And the coffee was amazing! Our hosts were truly fantastic people – very kind and welcoming. They spoke perfect English and German, but their kindness made everything else secondary. Thank you for the warm hospitality!

We loved everything about this hotel! The location in Wolkenstein was perfect- surrounded by green pastures and snow capped mountains and very close to Ortisei and all the wonderful hiking that we did. Okay the room was beautiful with a balcony looking at over the mountains. The buffet breakfast was delicious and the staff - the mum put Miriam,and the daughter Eva,could not have been more friendly and accommodating and helpful. We would stay here again.

This town is a great place to stay, it’s relaxing and picturesque. The hotel itself is located an easy walk from the town centre but far enough away to be quiet. There are also two fabulous supermarkets in town with a really good selection of food and wines. Our room was clean, modern and simply furnished. There was an outdoor balcony which was sunny in the afternoons, had a beautiful view of the hillside and was a great place to relax in the sun after a day of walking. The owner was lovely and friendly and the hotel has maps and info about local activities. Breakfast was really nice also. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Only thing missing was a small fridge for the room.

Hotel was wonderful - room was spacious, clean, and had very comfortable bed and a great bathroom and views from the balcony. Breakfast was also very nice! However, the star of this place is the host - she is INCREDIBLE. On top of just being an extremely lovely person, I had to go to the hospital, which is 40 minutes away, and she came and waited with my friend to drive us back (we would have been stranded otherwise). She went above and beyond. Highly recommend staying here for the hotel, location, and host.

- Good location close to the Gardena/Sella Passes if wanting to get an early start (motorcyclist perspective), did see a number of hikers staying as welll so it's likely a good starting point for that as well - Clean rooms, good shower with coffee/tea kettle, the price-value is quite good - there are quite a few nice restaurants nearby for a nice dinner and is nice green area overall - enough parking available - Nice and friendly hosts

Host was friendly and welcoming. Room was fresh and modern, it looks like it was recently renovated, which made it feel even nicer. Stylish bathroom. Thick window blinds. Breakfast was tasty with great coffee, they even provided gluten-free options. Location was also very convenient.

We loved this accommodation however it's not in the centre of town if that's what you're looking for. We wanted a mountain view and the location did not disappoint. The views from our balcony were spectacular. We had a car so it was easy for us to find a dinner spot. You can walk but it's an uphill walk back. Room was very comfortable and great breakfast included.

Central and fit our needs for a quiet location. It was the off season so it was a very quiet town. The lady who owns it is very friendly and gracious. Made us feel at home. Breakfast WoW. Not many dining spots open, but the larger of 3 towns St Ulrich offered dinner locations.

We had a great week at Hotel Morene! The room was very clean and comfortable and had a spacious balcony with amazing views. The location was perfect for hiking/biking and also walking distance to restaurants, shops and the town centre. The host is super nice, welcoming and helpful!

The location was fabulous and the host was delightful. The room was comfortable with a balcony to watch the cyclists go by. Breakfast was very good and there was also an “honesty” fridge with refreshments. Short walk to town. Really enjoyed our stay here
