Great hotel to stay in the Dolomites area, relatively central to many points of interest in the area, 15 min walk from downtown Ortisei, or free bus passes offered by the hotel to those who prefer not walking. Parking in Ortisei downtown is expensive and usually full, therefore we recommend leaving the car in the hotel. The best feature in the hotel is the staff. Always friendly and ready to provide guest with information and the best service. In our last night, as we were leaving very early in the next morning, one of them (unfortunately I forgot his name) offered to leave a bag with breakfast for my wife and I. It was kind, and we felt very good with that gesture. There was a barbecue offered to guests on a sunny evening, which we though we would pay for it, and it complimentary, another great gesture, well appreciated. Breakfast was fantastic every day. The room had a balcony with beautiful view of the surrounding mountains. A very interesting setup, with a kind of booth table, well nested between the bed and the bathroom. Good use of space, and comfortable for seating, we used it in one of our nights for tasting a board of local cheese and speck (the local prosciutto) and a bottle of wine.

My stay at Hotel Garni Vanadis was exceptional. It’s a quaint hotel with gorgeous mountain views and a short walk from down town Ortisei. Our room had a balcony overlooking a river which was great to block out any outside noise. Our hosts were incredible. They made us feel at home and gave us great advice on hiking trails and options. The included breakfast was also great - with a huge spread of fresh foods, cakes/breads that the hosts baked, and freshly squeezed fruit juices. They even happily made us a cappuccino every morning. They also offered us free guest passes for the bus system so we could travel all over Val Gardena and to Bolzano as much as we wanted for free for the duration of our stay. This was super useful for us to have access to the hiking trails and get us to-and-from the trains in Bolzano. A 10/10 stay (we didn’t want to leave) and I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to go to the Dolomites!

Everything about the property was likable.

Great place to stay to get to all the popular hikes in the area. The staff was very helpful, the rooms were fine and the breakfast good😊 Approximately a 10 min walk from the centre.

As there is no air condition, you need to sleep with the door open which is a bit noisy due to the river. (Would also love a fridge so one could store some cold drinks and keep everything from melting.)

The hotel was 20 metres from the bus stop which was a bonus. It was a 5 minute walk uphill to the Ortisei central cafes and restaurants. It could not have been more comfortable. The room was exceptional and the breakfasts an absolute highlight. The staff were so knowledgeable about the area and recommended daily walks.

The location was excellent, a short walk to the town centre, bars, restaurants etc as well as the cable cars to Seceda and Alpe di Suisi There was a lovely familial feel to the hotel, there seemed to be many returning guests which is always a great sign. Very friendly hosts, happy to give advice and genuinely interested in us making the most of our overall stay in the Dolomites Great breakfast in a lovely spacious dining room

The bus stops right outside this hotel. It is a short walk to the centre if you don’t want to take the bus. There is a wonderful pizzeria nearby with reasonable prices and delicious traditional meals. The room is very clean and spacious with lots of hooks to hang clothing and a large wardrobe as well. There is a wooden table and chairs. We also had a balcony. We stayed 3 nights! Great vies from the window.

Very friendly and helpful staff, even arranged so that we could stay an extra night in the same room despite fully booked facility. Also gave us good walking suggestions. Very good breakfast. Nice and spacious room. Good location next to bus stop and within walking distance to town.

Hotel is close to a busy road.

We couldn’t have stayed at a better place in Ortisei. The place is fantastic, our room was very spacious and clean, with a beautiful view of mountains and green fields. Everyone was nice and friendly. Breakfast was delicious. The location is perfect, with great restaurants nearby and just a few minutes to the centre by car (also by walking if you wish). Delightful experience and we highly recommend it.

Property was cozy, clean and equipped with everything we needed. Staff was incredibly kind and went out of their way to make our stay great and give us tips for exploring the town. The location was convenient, and the views were wonderful.

Family owned, great and friendly people, always supportive and giving advice for the trips. New rooms, clean, great beds, own parking. 5min walking distance to city centre and lifts to Seceda or Suissi. Excellent location and a bit more cosy compared to Cortina.
