Our stay at Branxholme Castle was absolutely delightful. From the moment we arrived, Carol made us feel incredibly welcome. The castle itself is stunning—full of character, history, and charm—while still offering all the modern comforts you’d hope for. The room was beautifully appointed, spotless, and cozy, with lovely views of the surrounding countryside. Breakfast was a real highlight: fresh, delicious, and served with genuine hospitality. I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a peaceful, elegant escape in a truly unique setting.

We absolutely loved this property, wished we could have stayed for longer. Branxholme Castle was absolutely enchanting stood in beautiful grounds, and our room was very homely, clean, spacious and very comfortable (Queen Room with Garden View). We had Breakfast brought to our room and I can tell you that there was absolutely enough to feed 4, let alone just the 2 of us. A tasty Full Scottish Breakfast, tasty yoghurt with an abundance of fresh fruit, Fresh Fruit, Tea and Coffee. We literally couldn't move for a good while after eating it.

We couldn’t have booked a better spot to arrive after such a day. The room was big and very comfortable. We didn’t have time to have dinner yet when we arrived so the host immediately gave us a menu to have food delivered from the town nearby. She also set the table for us in the living room where we could eat our ordered food. It was so nice to be taken care of like this after the rainy day on the bike that we had prior our arrival. Breakfast was also lovely. Could not recommend this place enough!

Carol was so welcoming and friendly ,lovely to talk to ,offered to take us into Hawick as we had a meal booked but getting a taxi was no problem. Highly recommend Branxholme castle, it has been beautiful restored and the rooms are fantastic. The room is large with everything you need along with a communal lounge and there is even a tot of whiskey to make the evening complete. The grounds are stunning and there is a cafe within the grounds. The breakfast is out if this world, I have never seen so much fresh fruit provided with my yogurt. The cooked breakfast choices are fantastic and all delivered to either your room or the lounge. We enjoyed our first night so much , we stayed another night.

Lovely hotel in an amazing setting. The rooms were huge with an en-suite that allowed for a bath and shower. We were served breakfast in our room so we could enjoy while over looking the scenery. There was a huge selection of breakfast, all freshly cooked. The bed was huge and comfortable. I’ve stayed on a few hotels in the area and this is by far the best and will be back.

Branxholme Castle (B&B) WOW - what a classy Scottish themed property!! From arrival to departure Carol & Brian made me feel very welcome. Originally booked for 3 night, but loved the place I extended my break an extra two nights. Room was large/ spacious and was of high end luxury from decor, furnishings, to the welcome tea/ coffee tray. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and there was a range of choices to choose from. I cannot wait to return again soon. What a gem of a place 💙
There was NOTHING not to dislike about Branxholme Castle - what an exceptional place!!

What an amazing experience! Brian and Carol were so friendly and informative ; we learned so much about the castle and area within the first 20 minutes of arrival! The room was absolutely beautiful, quiet, clean and romantic. The views were stunning.
The only suggestion we have is for the temperature to be turned up for the bathtub because it was like warm and we couldn't enjoy the fancy tub.

The castle is absolutely beautiful. It was so well maintained and really homely! It was so clean and so much attention to detail throughout. The suite we stayed in was absolutely stunning, from the decor to the comfortable bed and AMAZING bed lined. There was lovely snacks in the room too! Carol was lovely from the second we arrived to the moment we left. She was so accommodating for us, our baby and our friends who were in the next suite. Breakfast was delicious and again - so much choice and the food for delicious! This property is honestly amazing and so worth the money. We are already planning our return visit!
Absolutely nothing! Only downfall for us was not spending enough time there as we were at a wedding.

This hotel (B&B) is stunning. the host was lovely and made our quick stay very pleasant, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are really beautifully done, incredibly clean and lots of nice furnishings. I would 100% recommend staying here, I only wish we had longer.
The rooms were a little cold, the heating didn't seem to be on or if it was it was quite low, that said it wouldn't stop me visiting again, I would just pack a cosy jumper. They did provide dressing gowns and slippers which really assisted and was a nice touch.
