Surprisingly, the rooms were quite large. The king bed we had was not squeezed into the room. The remote for the TV was easy to work with. Breakfast was typical . The scrambled eggs actually looked & tasted like real eggs at breakfast. This room was nice and inexpensive. Thank-you for a bargain.

The TV is on a wall far from the bed. There are many patients that reside at the hotel. I have compassion for them but I didn't want to listen about their ailments at breakfast or the problem they have with medical insurance. The breakfast area needs some quiet for all that are there. Still, we enjoyed our brief stay there.

Traveling with a group of 27 for a youth mission trip. This place far exceeded our expectations. Our room keys were ready as soon as we arrived. They placed our entire group in the same hallway. They went above and beyond when they found out we ordered pizza delivery and gave us access to their conference room for us to enjoy our meal in. This is what hospitality is supposed to look like.

Pool was a bit small. Breakfast area was laid out in a strange fashion and hard to maneuver.

The breakfast was wonderful, and our stay included a weeknight so we were also offered dinner. The 24 hour coffee machines were awesome and made really good coffee!

The staff accidentally registered us for a one night stay instead of 2. We were in town for an early morning medical procedure, so we were recovering and napping at noon when staff entered our room twice without knocking in confusion that we were still there. Also, the in room soap and shampoo/conditioner could be updated to a better brand.

room i stayed in was extremely clean and comfortable, the room service attendant was very polite and gave me extra towels and she was very polite and respectful. also the dinner was very good in the dining area. Breakfast was excellent, room was very clean, shuttle was excellent and so lmportant for getting to appointments on time and getting picked up later in the day.

Spaghetti/meatballs dinner was awful! Otherwise dinners have been a nice extra to come back to. 24hr coffee, fresh cookies were great!! Desk tried to accommodate any request I had. Weekend shuttle didn’t run late enough for someone who needs to be in hospital with a loved one.

Very clean

Fireplace in our room, which made the room smell very smoky. After the first night, they were kind and said that we could change, but my husband didn’t want to because we only had one more night. The property was so nice that they actually gave us a discount. Definitely check to see if there is a fireplace in your room and I would book one without it if you are smoke sensitive

The Heartland is an amazing place to stay if you are there for the U of I hospitals and clinics. The staff makes it easy for anybody who has to be at the hospital. The shuttle driver was amazing. He made sure that I made it to River Landing and came back to pick me up I could make my appointment at the U. I don't think that is a typical drop-off. My car did not start and after a series of issues with getting it dealt with, the hotel let me stay in the lobby til it was all taken care of. They were very generous and helpful. Oh, and Jethro's next door is a nice addition.

The hotel could use a facelift. It is starting to show its age.

Breakfast was good and space for it was ample. I expected biscuits and gravy but was satisfied with waffles and sausage and thankful for the juice and that other choices were available. The bathroom was clean and the shower is bright and spacious.

Our bathroom toilet seat was loose and I got it tightened with a coin. I'm mentioning it only to let you know. Room lighting is a little lacking. And I would like a restaurant listing and mapping and users views.

Spacious, clean rooms with friendly staff. Within walking distance of several restaurants. Located within short driving distance of important locations in Corallville and Iowa City such as UIowa campus, University Hospital, VA Hospital. Hotel provides a shuttle to the VA with many run times.

Older property, Some small, noticeable maintenance issues.

Was a busy checkin time but smooth and quick. Room door does not slam shut like most places so luggage was a breeze. breakfast eggs sausage waffles yogurt etc until 10am! Everything in room cozy, clean and worked well including TV remote, channels. I couldn't resist booking a second night to rest after circling the USA 7,000 miles on a motorcycle!
