We stayed in Kalandara for a week, it was paradise. The accomodation, our 6 pax villa, was perfect, each couple had a very spacious suite with an unforgettable sea view! The in-villa pool and the ability to completely relax and disconnect from the world were amazing. The staff were super nice and helpful with everything. Special thanks to Wulan who looked after us with so much care! The hotel offers great tours and helps with everything need. Location wise I would recommend Sengiggi above Kuta anytime, you get the most amazing sunsets and it’s a little more quite and authentic experience. Also recommend visiting the nearby Nipah beach to swim with turtles!

This place was incredible! We arrived in one of the most beautiful accommodations ever! The view was amazing. Outside of the room there was plenty of space to hangout. Great beds at the pool. Nice place where breakfast was served. It was also very calm. Not many people. At least we didn’t see many of them. Within the first few hours we unfortunately had a bad experience with some monkeys on top of the hill near our apartment. Within half an hour we could switch to a room in the middle of the resort. We never saw a monkey again. I mean, we all want to feel safe when staying somewhere and the lovely staff helped us with that immediately. By changing rooms, helping with the luggage and escorting us to our apartment. Via WhatsApp we could provide our breakfast options. When we forgot to do so, they greeted us by name when coming back to the resort after activities of dinner outside and they helped us reminding of it. We would like to thank the entire staff for making our stay at this resort more than wonderful! Especially Mrs. Wulan! We are sure coming back here whenever we are staying in Lombok again. In case you want dinner outside of the resort. A taxi/Gojek/Grab is most of the time required, but the roads are so calm. You’ll be somewhere within just 15 minutes! The breakfast was very nice on the Friday only in our experience and should be served like this every day. Take note when taking the most beautiful elevator up or down. It can take a little long while waiting to get it. The view pays off!

Location and rooms are stunning.

Service: The staff were incredibly attentive, friendly, and professional. They handled everything with genuine care and a warm smile. Hospitality: I was particularly impressed by how thoughtful and accommodating everyone was. They made me feel like a valued guest throughout my stay, which added a personal touch to the experience. Room & Facilities: The room was immaculate, with a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Food: The dining experience was fantastic! The breakfast options were not only delicious but also presented beautifully.

The food prices displayed on the TV were not up-to-date, which led to some confusion. Additionally, there was no indication on the TV menu whether certain dishes contained non-halal ingredients, such as alcohol. It would be helpful if the hotel ensures the menu is updated regularly and clearly labels non-halal items to accommodate the needs of guests with specific dietary requirements

Everything. The location's top notch with mind blowing views. You have your own private pool and seating area to chill over a couple of beers for as long as you like. The breakfast spread was amazing, especially the collection of local Lombok desserts. Our dinner was pretty good too at Amatera, I fell in love with the Sambal Matah dressing on the side. The staff were eager to help, room service was quick and the little things like welcoming us with a fruit basket and flowers on our bed by housekeeping really gave us a lot of joy. 100% recommend this stay!

The room assigned to us was magnificent, everything that we expected. It was huge and comfortable. Every staff we encountered was super friendly, helpful and respectable. Thoroughly loved the vibes the resort gave and the breathtaking views from our room.

As we were near nature, there are always crawlies around but we were unfazed after a few days. Although having monkeys and HUGE lizards occasionally turned up did scare us a bit although nothing major. 1 downside was the entire resort only had 1 buggy and 1 open air lift, which went through a couple of maintenance work during our stay. A bit of an inconvenience as our room was at the most top and having to walk uphill was a bit of a workout.

Beautiful location, peaceful with stunning sunsets. Close to beach and many restaurants and cafes. Restaurant at the resort had beautiful food with peaceful views. Breakfasts never disappoint. Staff were always helpful with organising transport and day trips and ensuring our safety if weather not permitting. Our trip to Pink Beach with Harry was a memorable day.Harry ensued we had an authentic experience. A very happy and positive tour guide. Thank you to all staff at Kalandara, especially Wina, Olivia, Jaswara, Wulan, Emy and Nawja. Everyone at Kalandara from maintenance staff, wait staff, reception, cleaners and spa staff were all polite, friendly and accommodating. Thank you Kalandara.

Minimal issues but ceiling fan in villa would add more comfort at night instead of air conditioning.

The best aspect of this resort is the staff. This is a beautiful resort, but the staff is what makes it amazing. We've stayed at many upscaled, luxury resorts but what sets this one above the rest, is the staff. I remember Jahra and Jessy from the restaurant. They were so sweet and the most cheerful, kind people! Jahra is my dear friend that blessed me with so much. There is Imron, Iwana, and Saopal also. The cleaning crew was also exceptional. Always pleasant and meeting our every request. I'm not sure I'm spelling their names correctly, but these people need to be commended for their hospitality. They made this resort amazing for us.

The lift was difficult on some days and very slow. We are fit for our age so taking 135 steps to our floor was not a big deal; it would be for some. Think about this if you are out of shape or elderly because it may be difficult to get to your room on rainy days.

Loved the aspect. Built on the hill it provides amazing sunsets and views overlooking the beaches. Villas with infinity pools offer a wonderfully relaxing perspective anytime of the day. Decor is tastefully done and I liked the semi outdoor bathroom. Great aircon ! Wonderful breakfasts with incredible staff. Excellent coffee!

I thought I booked the two story villa as shown on the advertised picture. I found that misleading. For the price I paid I think the two story villa was more appropriate .

The property is spectacular. From the moment you enter, to getting into the funicular and seeing your villa for the first time, Kalandara is built to impress and it delivers. The view alone is worth the price of your stay. The villa was incredibly comfortable, with a beautiful, private infinity pool and outside shower. We also caught a sunset on our first night there, and saw stars at night. The staff is very kind and helpful.

Unfortunately, a great part of the hotel is also a major inconvenience. Be warned that the funicular is switched off when there’s heavy rain. We didn’t know that and had planned a day out but found ourselves caught in the rain with a lift that wasn’t working. I called the staff and they immediately sent a buggy to rescue us. The staff was incredibly kind, she closed her own umbrella and got wet trying to help us get into the buggy. The buggy then proceeded to go down the very steep hill. So hang on. I can only imagine that in high season, the wait for the funicular can be long. The only other way up and down the hotel are the stairs.
