Perfect location - central yet quiet, with fantastic views towards the cathedral and botanical gardens. Watching a couple of birds swooping around cathedral towers at dawn was beautiful. Reception & breakfast room staff were great: polite, helpful and upbeat. Good quality bedding, towels and lovely smelling shower gel / hand wash from a range not harmful to environment or skin. Good shower and effective ventilation (we take long showers and it didn't get steamy). Very nice breakfast, with a varied selection including delicious pancakes & baked apples. Interesting architecture with a generous lobby / atrium space and galleries leading to rooms, nice quality doors which seemed real hardwood. An Easter treat left in our room on arrival was a kind gesture.

The maintenance is sadly lacking - our bathroom vanity top was peeling off, due to long term water damage, the window in the room's small seating area was broken, with signage warning against use. Wi-Fi signal weak at best so no Internet / only terrestrial TV. Only the most basic tea & coffee provisions in the room (luckily the breakfast room had a wider selection). Decor is dated, but we knew about it in advance having stayed there before - a bit amusing and very much of its time. Nothing that a little TLC and interiors refresh wouldn't solve and then it would be a super nice hotel.

Excellent breakfast, in tradition with the the great kitchen provided in the past by the hotel. Hotel, with its plushy interior, restful architecture, and excellent service strives to pamper the customer. Overall location and the neighborhood of Botanic Garden is another great asset that no other Wroclaw's hotel can provide.

JP2 need to return to the restaurant open for the meals meals, especially the diners. In the past it was a gem on the culinary map of Wroclaw attracting many visitors as an excellent place not only for staying but also for business (and not only) meetings. Nearby "Rajskie Ogrody" with its atmosphere of a school cafeteria is a poor substitute for a high class hotel restaurant or coffee shop.

An amazing hotel in a beautiful historic part of the city right next to the botanical garden, which you can see from the hotel restaurant during breakfast. Very pleasant and helpful staff (we had a language problem with the parking machine, the man from the reception came and solved it). Quality breakfast in a pleasant environment, very quiet and well-equipped room with nice view ( partly botanical garden / partly the Church of the Holy Cross and Saint Bartholomew)

The hotel is very, very quiet. The only time I saw other guests was at breakfast. That suited me fine as I wanted peace and quiet. The location is perfect for visiting Ostrow Tumski and it's a 10 to 15 minute walk to the Rynek. Also the staff were very helpful and all spoke very good English (my Polish is quite limited). I would describe my room as "functional", it had all the basics and most of all the bed was very comfortable.

This isn't a huge negative point but I had a quick glance around and didn't see a bar, not a big deal for me but at the time I was contemplating drinking a beer to finish off the day. Again - not a negative point, but if you're looking for a hip and happening hotel with a buzzing cocktail lounge, then this isn't the place for you.

Nice room for rest: clean and tidy. Interesting and gorgeous location between 2 beautiful churches (be aware of early morning bells sound) and botanical garden. In addition, want to mark very pleasant and helpful staff on the reception.

- The room needs a little renovation (chips and scuffs on the furniture) - Wi-Fi is very unstable (almost imposible to use) - No blinders on the window (the sun will wake up you in the early mornings)

Perfect, peaceful location with view on Botanical Gardens. Breakfast a bit basic, but fresh coffee and cakes are nice. Specific style (bombastic) but acceptable.

Poor bar and restaurant. Non-branded and low quality bath cosmetics. No parking (need to use public, metered lots).

Nice hotel with symbolic. The original architecture corresponds with the thousand-year-old monuments of Ostrów Tumski and the picturesque greenery of the Botanical Garden. (...) Everything related to the construction of the John Paul II Guest House was symbolic. The investment was launched in the year of the Great Jubilee of 2000 years of Christianity and the 1000th anniversary of the Bishopric of Wrocław. Ok rooms. Good service from reception. It have a capel in first floor. Very silent after 22.

Shower was not working well.

Breakfast was fine. Extraordinary and quaint decor with a statue of Pope John Paul II, classic statues, a small statue of a luggage-carrying gnome next to the entrance and a permanently open chapel. Staff was kind and very helpful, providing recommendations of good nearby restaurants, getting a taxi to the airport at 4 am, and so on. Excellent location: The hotel is located in the city center, near the botanical garden, several churches including the cathedral and other ecclesiastic buildings. It is extraordinarily quiet. I would come back to it whenever I visit Wroclaw again.

Location was perfect, design of the hotel is also pretty good, one of the best I have ever stayed at. When I will visit this city again, probably will stay at this very hotel.

It was not quiet enough in the hotel room though, but it was okay anyway.

The breakfast was great, plenty of choice. Excellent location in the old town.

There was no wardrobe in the room, but only a hanger.
