Great location right off Duval Street and walking distance to most of the sights in the center. The property grounds were lush and well kept (we noticed the entire outdoor deck was mopped clean the net day). Having a pool open until midnight was nice to unwind after the day. Free coffee, tea, sunblock and insect repellant by the poolside was also an extra nice touch, with an option to order soda and bottles of wine too if needed. The room was very clean and comfortable, with good air conditioning (important during the heat!) It was nicer than it seemed from the pictures! Parking included was also a great bonus since it was hard to find parking in Key West.

We wish we could stay longer!

Beautiful, serene setting, comfortable, spacious room. I got room #5 which is a queen suite and it was great. Just not as light and airy as I would have liked but it's a perfect room if you don't mind shade. :) It's a great location if you want to be closer to the southernmost end of Duval but a ways out from where everything is at. It's a quieter location. Just need a bike or scooter to get around.

I didn't like that the maid service came into my room without me putting the tag for service on the door. I had all my valuables laid out and thankfully, they were trustworthy but still didn't like that. It was only me so I really didn't need service.

Quiet, tropical garden property in historic area of Key West. Located closer to Southernmost Point then the active Mallory Square area, but we prefer that. They have a nice pool area and it is soothing and pleasant. This is not a Party place, again why we are repeat customers. The queen bed unit had a micro, sink and small fridge. We rented bikes to get around the island as we wanted to get quickly to the Mallory Square area, and the Bars down near the waterfront. (If you are in good shape you can walk it. But seems to be more than a mile).

The bathroom in our unit was slightly awkward in that it had no hooks or additional towel rack (there was only 1 towel rack with the fresh towels on it) to hang clothes or towels. Also a shelf would be nice to place items on. But that was minor. The unit was clean and in good shape considering those are older homes redone well ...

The location is excellent as it's crossroad is Duval Street, where most of the activity (fun, excitement, restaurants, shops)happen. The room was spacious and clean and the air conditioning was excellent. That's a very important factor in the Keys 😁 in the Summer.

I'm not fond of the parking challenges. THIS IS NO FAULT of Douglas House. As a matter of fact, they have a nice parking lot less than a block away. But as a disabled senior, it complicates loading and unloading. In Key West, you can park in reserved Residential Parking spaces, but they are often filled and my van is too long for successful parallel parking.

Wow! Douglas House was just what the doctor ordered! My husband and I along with our adult son were exhausted and grieving the loss of our beloved daughter/sister. The staff was so supportive and accommodating! The grounds are spectacular, the pool’s temperature was perfect, the relaxing music in the outdoor area was perfect for meditation, reading and sleeping! The best part of the Douglas House however is the staff! By day two, we were part of the family! Everything you could need is right around the corner. We walked everywhere but spent most of our time beside the pool where we met many people who stay at the Douglas House every time they visit Key West. Because my daughter loved Key West, I felt so close to her. I had so much quiet time in such a serene setting, I was able to concentrate on my girl and feel her love in one of her favorite places! I almost forgot to tell about our room which was like a small apartment! It had everything we needed! To our surprise, we had a veranda overlooking the quaint street with comfortable chairs. It was the best place to have our morning coffee and a glass of wine before heading out to dinner. We are already planning our next trip!

Very Clean and comfortable. Great location.

This particular room/ apartment was missing several elements to make it complete. A full kitchen but missing several elements for one to prepare a meal. No cutting board or pot holders. A few additional items to pull the space together would make a huge difference . This comment has no reflection on The Douglas House but the owner of unit that is managed by resort. No art in bedroom, throw pillows on sofa, area rug on floor. A little would bring this particular unit up to the next level. Paint on the second floor porch much needed.

We stayed in the hotel’s building across the street from the hotel entrance on the second floor. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Loved having the wrap-around porch to use outside our door. Great breeze. The staff was very good. I would highly recommend this hotel, especially if you are as particular as I am about room cleanliness and comfort. The location of the hotel was perfect. Just off Duval Street, but on the quieter end of Duval.

Everything was great. No complaints.

The building had a lot of character. Everything is modern with a very clean, calm decor. Nice artwork. Lovely living area and upstairs bedroom. And the kitchen was adequate for breakfast and snacks. We stayed for 3 nights before picking up a cruise out of Miami. It was perfect. It is very central and we walked everywhere.

There are steep stairs to get to the apartment and then another curved set of stairs to get to the bedroom. We are seniors, and it was not bad, but we needed help with luggage. I did not like having the wifi router on the bedside table. It is not good to have that so close to one's body for hours at a time. I could only move it to the floor. So, long-term rentals beware.

I was able to walk everywhere! If I ever needed a ride in a car it was only a 5 min ride to anywhere worth visiting! The pictures did not do the room justice as it was way more beautiful and clean looking in person! Very spacious! Would highly recommend!

I would’ve liked to see more restaurant suggestions in the lobby. Lots of ads for tourist attractions but not many recommendations for food. The parking lot was off property at the next block over so it was not ideal as I was not able to keep an eye on my vehicle.

We arrived before check-in and the staff was so nice about stowing our luggage and giving us directions to a requested location. Upon returning to check in the front desk clerk gave a wonderful tour of the property and made us feel very welcome. The staff was always very helpful and friendly anytime we encountered them. Our flight off the island was quite a while after check-out and once again we were able to stow our luggage while we had one last stroll along Duvall Street. When it was time to leave for the airport the desk clerk called a cab which was there very quickly. The pool area was perfect for some reading and a nap in the sun.

I don't know if anything that could have been improved.
