Everything! We’ve stayed in many places, mostly very good ones, but this one was so exceptional we could go on and on about it. The location was wonderful, close to everything we wanted to see-very walkable. The room was VERY clean, not a speck of dust. Breakfasts were delicious. All staff we encountered were friendly, but Dwight was amazing! He welcomed us and calmed us from our “ getting into town “ nerves. He was SO helpful. He showed us all around the premises and shared all kinds of helpful information about sights, restaurants, etc. Excellent person and employee!!

The Room was very nice. I was off the road and in the back bungalow, so it was quiet. The bed was King size and the couch and living area was in from of the bed. The bathroom was very large. I wish I knew there a refrigerator in the room, that should tell you how camouflaged it was. I loved the jungle feel walking through the property. Its so close to Duvall and the food, drink and atmosphere.

The last morning, I checked out and I was hearing a barking dog in the next room. I am glad I was leaving. The pool is small and too hot to stay in very long.

The room were very comfortable. The bed was amazing. Best sleep ever. Staff was very friendly and helpful, probably the best staff I can recall.

The first couple of days, we had self served simple breakfast. The few later breakfast were done with prepared baskets. We preferred the self served breakfast, so that we can pick what we eat since we both have different diet restrictions, so we ended up not eating most of the food n the baskets. Kinda a waste. The room could be a little bit cleaner. I think the room were newer repainted, but there were a lot of paint chips left on the floor.

Very comfortable bed and large spacious room. Bathroom was modern and spacious. Air conditioning was effective but a bit noisy. The white noise helped us sleep so no issue. Staff were amazing and super helpful. Car parking available onsite and cost similar to any other hotels / multi-story car park in Keyt West. Cheaper than street parking. The welcome drinks were a nice touch. Very quiet around the property with an adult crowd. No loud kids screaming :). Very private outdoor terrace outside our room which we enjoyed. Lovely garden with nice seating and plunge pool.

We were not aware on how to locate the car park so wasted time trying to find it. The street address could have been mentioned on the website as parking is on a different street to main property address. No major issue but the TV in the room was designed to be watched from Sofa and not as easy to see from the bed.

Great boutique hotel a block away from Duval with lush landscaping. Very Walkable area close to restaurants and bars. The staff at Ella's is exceptional and very accommodating. You get a welcome drink upon check in and there is a daily afternoon tea as well a breakfast available. Our room was very comfortable and included a small fridge and a lovely outdoor sitting area. Bikes are available to use during your stay. Would definitely stay again.

The pool was very small and there were not enough pool towels available during the time we used the pool. They were being washed but the staff was communicative and offered to bring them as soon as they were done. The next morning, every lounge chair had a freshly washed towel available for use.

Dwight was such a gem. The room was gorgeous and comfy. The breakfast was SO good. We actually stayed here back in 2023 and loved the experience so much that we came right back. Parking is so easy and safe. It's incredibly walkable, we parked when we arrived and didn't touch the car until we left.

The showers were a bit odd - water sprayed everywhere outside of the door so the mats were always wet.

Clean, on quieter street, but one block from Duval Super friendly staff. Room was nice and bed was comfortable. We had street side room, so we got a little more road noise. Window AC units worked great, somewhat loud, but I could deal with that for a cold room. Good value and breakfast each morning was included. They also had tea time each day.

Small pool and people not rinsing off before getting in. Left oily sunscreen film on top of water, kinda of grossed me out. Not the properties fault, just guest not following ruled posted by pool

Beautiful and cosy hotel with kind and welcoming staff. I really couldn’t recommend it enough. The pool area was clean and beautiful and never busy because guests are always put exploring. The porches for each property are so lovely and it felt like being part of historic key west. Within walking distance to all shops and restaurants too.

The bathroom facilities are quite simple but value for the money

The coffee was very good which was much appreciated. The selection of pastries offered however was disappointing and never changed during the 4 days we stayed. The pastries were “grocery store” quality and certainly not Kimpton hotel quality. The boxed cereal choices were odd and for children (even though there were no children, as far as we could determine). The cut fresh fruit and fresh juices were very nice. There was only one flavor of yogurt every morning. One of the things that we did like was the housekeeping staff—even though they came very late to clean our room (usually after 4:00 PM), they were very pleasant and did an excellent job in cleaning and maintaining the housekeeping standards.

By far, the least appealing aspect of Ella’s Cottages was the bathroom. Unfortunately, this is probably the one area that would be difficult for management to make changes in because of the space limitations. The bathroom in our room (#15), was simply too small to be comfortable. There was no counter space to put anything. There is no space to put a towel when getting out of a shower. The shower itself is very small with no additional shelving.

The property is unique and so close to everything. The staff was very friendly and helpful. In addition to the continental breakfast, the afternoon tea was a nice touch with some great treats! Loved how we could walk to all of our destinations.

The bathroom in the room could've been cleaner. There were dirt stains in a few places along the bathroom walls. The window unit A/C worked okay, but it would be a huge plus if they could get the central air working again. Other than that, we loved our stay!
