The hotel location and the facilities were really nice. The view of the mountains was awesome.

They charged for a daily resort fee (35 usd) that was not mentioned at the time of booking.

Well I was a bit nervous from reading some reviews but we decided to give this resort a try and we were glad we did. It is a cabin feel to it but the room we had had a great view of the mountains, golf course, and lake. The breakfast was buffet but again we felt it was excellent value. The hotel is also close to the old Colorado springs and new Colorado spring areas (10 -15 min drive) tucked away in a quiet neighbor hood. If we ever go back this is where we would stay.

Better food options for dinner

The restaurant offered a buffet for breakfast that was disappointing by European standards. The restaurant appeared to be almost empty every night even though our convention group alone comprised 400 people. Acceptable meals were available in the bar although the menu was limited.

Breakfast was very expensive and disappointing. The accommodation is in a number of separate lodges and access to the main venue and restaurants. There was no protection from rain or snow or wind while walking from the lodges. The resort is well out of town so you really need a car to get to shops, restaurants and amenities.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay, the room had a great view. The front desk was friendly and cordial upon checking in. There was a young man working the gift shop, who was extremely welcoming upon us arriving. He’d asked if could assist with anything, gave recommendations on which restaurants had good food on the property. I felt so welcomed after that interaction. I wish i could remember his name because he should be recognized, he wasn’t the only one but the most memorable. Great staff at this hotel!

The hotel’s decor was a little dated, upon walking in on our first evening, the skirt to the bed was somewhat hanging off, the room gave the appearance of worn.

The valet guys were friendly but everyone else seemed confused on why they were there. The front desk was awkward and the aquatic center attendee was so over it all. I don’t know if they are underpaid or burnt out or both. We had dinner at the restaurant, all the food was exceptional except for the kids pizza, $10 for a Tony’s microwaveable pizza which was burnt. our dessert wasn’t put in at first, then they were out of what we had ordered 15minutes prior to that, then we received it and it was soggy and gross. The peach cobbler looked so unappetizing my son would even try it. The server stated the kitchen staff was upset with her and didn’t want to talk to her. The facilities were beautiful but our room could have been cleaner. The bed was on the harder side.

Atmosphere and feel of the facility. A very stunning property. We brought our dog and it was a very nice environment.

The compact parking situation or finding a spot close to your room was hard at times. Rooms were average accommodation and air conditioner was freezing and blowing directly onto the bed, and loud in the night. But necessary for cooling, room was hot fast when off in Sept. Ran out of coffee and had to go get more from front desk, maybe they could have better qty/stock. We never once had our Kleenex replaced. Sliding deck door was loose and didn't lock properly without a flyer modification from inside. Minor things, but honest feedback!

We weren’t there for the golf, tennis or swimming pools though all appeared to be excellent facilities. It was the perfect location though for an event we needed to attend. There were some negatives though

The buildings are constructed with wood framing with little sound insulation. Most hotels are concrete and much quieter. The people above us sounded like they were moving furniture around at 6 am. Also, though they offered upgrades at $$ per day, the refrigerator was broken, taking three calls to replace it. They did not offer a discount for NOT providing that amenity for one full day of our stay.

It has several nice options to keep everyone busy with the beach and pool and tennis and workout and golf and pickleball options.

The food was a bit expensive and slow to arrive. Don’t want the whole buffet at $25 per person when just want bacon and eggs or roll and coffee. We went to other places in town. Gold was way too much for 18 holes. $190 green fee is a bit much for the course. Very nice and well groomed but played so slow because of a women’s tournament we had to quit second nine. But staff was very nice and accommodating.

The seasoned staff was outstanding. The new staff needs work. Housekeeping pounded on a do not disturb sign at 9 am. And did not stop until the door was opened, then did not apologize. The front desk was to give room credit. Didn't see that!

My husband and I came to Colorado Springs as a mini honeymoon to celebrate us getting hitched recently! Unbeknownst to us, the resort upgraded our room FREE OF CHARGE to the Presidential Suite which was such an amazing surprise. We had damn near 360 view of the resort and mountains, views from every single room and it snowed one day we were there so the fireplace in the room was literally perfect! Staff was extremely polite and helpful, the rooms were clean, towels did not have a smell to them (which for some reason is now something we have to check bc other hotel towels just don't smell clean at all) We did not have any complaints during our stay here! We will for sure be coming back! :)

Not being able to smoke (weed LOL) on the balcony while taking in the breathtaking views! But literally not a big deal at all.
