The room was good with aircon and fun. The can do laundry for you The breakfast was pretty good. Very close to Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre, Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre and Rainforest Discovery Centre so you can walk to go there. The second recepcionist was very nice and very kind with us.

Sepilok BnB was a perfect location and was a short walk from the rain discovery centre and about 30 minutes walk to the Orangutan and sun bears. We stayed there twice once at the beginning of our trip and then at the end. We stayed in one of the bungalows opposite the reception and restuarant. Bungalow was perfect. Had air-conditioning and 2 ceiling fans in the room plus another ceiling fan on the balcony. You could sit on the balcony and at night just listen to all the different animal and insect noises. Staff were really nice especially Sarah who always went above and beyond to help

Pros: - Big rooms, spacious and clean - Fan and A/C - love the Balcony fan - kettle, desk and luggage rack appreciated and room was very cool after a hot day out. - Quiet and serene, just the jungle noises. - Perfect location to explore Orangutan Rehan centre (22mins walk) - Sunbear centre (next to Orangutan) and Rainforest Discovery Centre (8 mins walk). - If you’re time poor, you could hit all three by staying one night. - Good food at White House next door.

Cons: - Food is terrible. - Other than conservation centres, nothing to do in the local area. - Common area basic and needs a refurbishment.

Excellent location; very convenient for RDC & the Orang Utan & Sun Bear centres. Saw 7 Hornbills in the tree outside the chalet.

The area outside the chalet (Kingfisher chalet) would benefit by the addition of a defined space with gravel for car parking. Also the access path from the track to the chalet needs improvement, it is currently semi-submerged stepping-stones across muddy ground when it has been raining. Breakfast (07:00 to 09:00) is okay - providing you go early. If you arrive after about 08:00 the choices are limited to what remains after the early eaters (the majority) have gone.

Kind and helpful staff who helped us understand what to do in sepilok. Beautiful grounds with forest all around, we saw a hornbill bird in the trees nearby. Fantastic location right near the rainforest discovery centre. Great food- we had dinner one night at the restaurant onsite it was our favourite meal in sepilok. There’s also another restaurant nearby which was good too. Comfortable and clean accomodation with a lovely balcony and good AC! We visited the rainforest discovery centre (daytime and a separate night walk - it was amazing and right near sepilok b&b), visited the orangutan rehabilitation centre and sun bear centre by walk (took us 15 mins or so to walk there) and visited labuk bay proboscis monkey by return taxi. We were very glad we chose sepilok b&b for our stay of 2 nights. Would have loved to have an extra night to soak in the peaceful vibe and spend longer in the rainforest discovery centre!

The first thing that stood out for us staying here was how welcoming and friendly the staff were. They went out of their way to accommodate us during our stay and we felt very much at home here. Thank you! We loved the setting of the B&B, and it was wonderful falling asleep and waking up to the sounds of the rainforest. The location was absolutely ideal, a short walk from the Rainforest Discovery Centre, which was perfect for returning from night walks. It was a short distance also to the Orang-utan and Sun Bear sanctuaries. The food was lovely and freshly prepared. The staff did a wonderful job of accommodating large groups at breakfast and replenished items when needed. We loved our spacious family room. We would absolutely recommend the B&B as a great place to stay in Sepilok!

Communication was great. We arrived late in evening and the team arranged for security to give us our key and quickly check us in. Room was clean and well prepared and organised. We had Pitta Lodge for a family of 5: 2 adults, teen and 2 kids aged 10 and 12 and this size was perfect as we had extra space to feel comfy. They have Aircon in rooms which makes it easier. Location is also great as is a short ride to main attractions. We took grab to the orangutan centre and paid 8 myr for a van. We only had the morning free and so I woke early to arrange laundry. Sarah was super helpful and managed to wash and dry our clothes before we checked out!! Amazing turnaround! If I went back to Sepilok I would stay here again and do the RDC.

Not a complaint but after it rains the main walkway gets muddy so wear full shoes or be prepared to get dirty feet if wearing open toe shoes. Breakfast is very very basic so if you are fussy like some of my kids and husband you might skip it. However I liked the pancakes and so did the kids.

- The location is fantastic if you want to do the Wildlife Center, Sun Bear Conservation Center, and Rainforest Discovery Center. - Super friendly and helpful staff - Far away from the city - Lodges have charm - Free water refilling stations

- Interior is a little outdated - Lizards and (some) ants in the room, but it's not too bad. The lizards don't attract snakes as there are no gaps in the doors or windows and the lizards are harmless. That's what you choose to live with if you book a hotel in the rainforest.

Handy location to visit Orangutan + Sun Bear Sanctuary + Rainforest Centre. Real rainforest vibe, humid outdoors but air con inside room was refreshing. Dinner ala carte was well priced (15-20myr) compared to surrounding restaurants. Enjoyed the Chilli Sambal and Pandan Chicken. The included buffet breakfast was toast (peanut butter + jams), fried noodles, fried rice, pancakes, bananas and coffee.

4 person Dorm room layout is two single beds and a bunk bed meaning there wasn't any privacy curtains.

The room was very good, spacious and with good air conditioning and fans. Buffet breakfast was nice with a few options to try. The place is very close to the rainforest discovery centre (RDC) which was handy for early starts and night walks (can be pre-booked by emailing them). The RDC was our favourite place in Sepilok, we saw lots of wildlife there and it was less commercialised than the orangutan sanctuary. It is possible to walk to the orangutan sanctuary and sunbear centre in 20 mins. We spent one afternoon in that area and 2 days at the RDC. Would have liked to spend longer exploring the RDC as there are lots of walking trails available. Grab taxis are also easy to get. The White house restaurant (between RDC and B&B) was also good if you fancy a change from eating at the B&B. We saw some wildlife from the balcony at the B&B. The staff were friendly and gave tips on how to travel to Kinabatangan river.

The place was great but it would have been nice to have a better/more secure place to store luggage before check-in or to have the option of an early check in.
