The staff are amazing and can't do enough for you!! The food is super tasty and very reasonably priced and the location is beautiful! They provide a free bus everyday to the sanctuaries. I would also recommend the night walk. A little tip, take cash with you as that is the only way you can pay and I would recommend taking snacks as there is no shop within walking distance (they do offer a service to take you to the ATM and supermarket, but you have to pay for it so you are better off doing this before you get there) also be aware Grab doesn't seem to pick you up from there.

The dorm gets super hot as there are just a couple of fans (take a portable one) and it's a bit of a pain that you have to go downstairs and outside for the toilet and shower.

I like how peaceful it is here and the dorms are beautiful. Staff is wonderful too. I made use of the shuttle service several times. The meals you can have here are lovely too.

The toilets weren't working for a while (which can happen), but they should have put some buckets with water, because obviously this became a smelly situation.

Really beautiful surroundings, quiet and serene. There is a free bus run by the lodge to the near attractions and upon request picked us up at different times. Good vegetarian options for food. Hosts are really lovely and made such an effort remembering our names and asking about us.

The property was very clean, the staff and owners are great, cannot do enough for you. Food is pretty good and fair pricing. RM 12-17 a meal. Water refills in reception. 3 free shuttles a day to the orangutans, sunbears and rainforest discovery Centre. RM 5 per person if you call them any other time, very flexible and helpful. Hammocks around to chill in are welcome. Peaceful at night.

No shelves or drawers to put anything on or in, in the room. No hanging space, just 3 hooks. Everything ends up on the floor. Same in bathroom, but there is a towel rail. The bathroom outside the first night had an army of ants, but after that was pretty clear, but made us very wary to begin. The balcony to the room has a lovely jungle view but a tiny uncomfortable wooden 'bench' to sit on. Could only last 10 minutes on it. Cash only, no cards.

Loved the high-ceiling whitewashed room. The bed was big and comfortable, wonderful soft sheets, pillows and towel! A warm shower with fantastic views of the jungle. The food was good and fairly priced. The free shuttle to the Orangutan Centre is very convenient! I also loved the relaxed vibe, you can pay everything at the end before you leave. It felt like a local family place, which was lovely. The staff was very helpful and obliging. I really appreciate that they brought a top I had left behind to the centre with the shuttle the next day.

It's more expensive for what you get than other, more comfortable resorts in the area. You can't leave anything (not even soap or toilet paper) in the outdoors bathroom because of monkeys and rats. The latter made me quite uncomfortable.

All the workers are very friendly. There are many services such as free shuttle, tour information, cheap laundry, and breakfast. Nature-friendly, so you can see many other small animals around this place. Very close to Sepilok Orangutan Sanctuary. It only takes about 10 minutes by cars. You can see beautiful stars every night. It was such a joy!

If you expect a clean, neat and modernized hotel, you'll be disappointed because you'll meet many animals here. If you don't like to meet small animals like lizards, ant or moths, you need to choose another hotel. There was no wall between the bathroom and the forest!!!! But don't worry. Only birds and squerell might watch you. I also got used to this. Actually, I'm gonna miss it.

We really loved the location, in the middle of the rainforest. It allows for a nice break from the noise of cities and the stress of daily life. We liked that the rooms were very simple but not missing any comfort. We had a dinner and breakfast there and both were delicious. The staff was also nice, helpful and friendly.

The place has a lot of potential if maintenance was better and more frequent. Some parts gave the impression of falling apart

Everything was absolutely amazing — from the accommodations and the unique jungle setting, to the incredibly kind and helpful staff. This is where I tasted the best noodles of my life — truly an unforgettable flavor! The receptionist and the cook were so thoughtful that they even shared the recipe with me, so I can recreate it at home. An experience I’ll carry in my heart forever!

The only small detail that, if addressed, would make it even more perfect, is a bit more care with the toilet seat, which could use some maintenance to bring it up to the standard of the rest of the hotel.

The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. We enjoyed how rustic this place is, feeling very connected to the countryside and nature around you. The room was very basic, but comfortable, and the mosquito net and aircon did their job well. The ensuite outside bathroom wont be to everyone's taste, but along with the rustic balcony helped make the stay memorable and we were fine with it. Enjoyed meeting and chatting to people in the communal area (the only place with wifi too).

The breakfast was very basic, not really befitting the price tag of the room. Did feel that it matched the pictures but is more expensive than justified by the facilities.

Beautiful rainforest views, area is all surrounded by rainforest and great communal area with good wifi. Yummy food served for breakfast and optional for lunch and dinner. All just great. The shuttle service is brilliant, we spent the whole day with the orangutans and our second day at the sun bears.
