Lovely little caravan site nice and quiet staff where very friendly, the caravan was lovely and clean with everything you could need a little shop on site had a few necessities, a nice area to stay for family's wanting a more layed back non WiFi adventure. Altho our phone wifi worked, it was hit and miss, so really ideal when you want your kids to have a little down time from it and get out to play and adventure. Also didn't overcharge for the 3 night stay which made us able to go about visiting other areas including Loch lomond
Unfortunately, the double bed in the bedroom was rather firm. Left me and my partner feeling tired as it was uncomfortable to sleep on. But all other beds seemed fine as kids slept like logs 😂

Caravan was spotless and top of the range. Site has a play park, pub with amusements and reception/shop area where you can get the basic essentials. Also a beautiful loch on site which you can walk all the way round in about 15mins. Play park on site is fine, if not a little basic. If you have kids, there is a huge local park less than a 2/3min walk from the entry to the site (walk out the main gate and straight across under the bridge). Loads of fun days out within a 30min drive. Highly recommend for family's. Site is dog friendly (dog must be on lead), they are welcome in the dog friendly marked areas in the site pub.
There was a £45 dog fee which I felt was a little steep. However, they provide a lovely welcome package for your pupper that takes the sting out of it.

Caravan was nice and clean with everything you needed for self catering. I brought toilet rolls, tea towels and washing up liquid fully expecting to need it as I have in the past but it was all provided so that was a small bonus. Site was nice and quiet with plenty of outdoor grassy space for kids to play, there's also a small park and amusements. Staff were super friendly and helpful. I used it as a base to explore the surrounding area as everything we wanted to do was within an hour or so drive so work for us. Would happily come back.

The accommodation was lovely, spacious and clean. Most things needed were provided eg pots/pans etc, I'd advise taking towels, possibly more toilet roll for longer stays. Very comfortable accommodation. Beautiful backdrop and scenery, superb walks for the dog. Both my partner and myself would happily stay there again, lovely area and so much to discover and we only scraped the tip of the iceberg as to what could be discovered there. Extremely dog friendly in the local town, dogs welcome in most places that we found. Lovely shopping area, very close to accommodation.
All negatives are very minor but, Lack of WiFi, not being advised on working of heating etc, especially as never stayed in a static caravan before.

The staff are really lovely and great with communication, they checked our booked caravan over prior to our arrival and informed us there was an issue, so provided an upgrade to the lodge that was stunning and really comfortable. Very helpful throughout our visit. We did have a look at some of the vacant caravans and these are well kept and look very comfortable also. It is set in a beautiful location with wild rabbits on the park and a lovely lake. Train lines nearby which you could see trains passing from the park which my son loved but the noise from the trains was not loud enough to disturb anyone in our parties sleep. Close to Moffat Town which is lovely and has all your local amenities. We left an item behind in the caravan and again the staff were brilliant with helping ensure it arrived back home safely. They really do go that extra mile. Would highly recommend and look forward to coming back again x
The weather wasn't great but that's the UK for you.

Very clean and comfortable, brand new by the look of it. Very cheap and in a pleasant location with a nice pub in the nearby village. Moffat itself is cute and quaint and nearby. The wider area is stunning. An overlooked gem part of the country.
We were not aware of the cut off time for arrivals, which is 4pm. Luckily we arrived only 15 mins after that time but we did get a call from staff to check on us which was an unpleasant surprise. This is not indicated in the booking.com listing as of May2024. Good job we were nearby when they called. There is also nothing on the site except caravans, not a club house nor a shop, nowt.

The caravan was reasonably new and was very nice inside. We would probably return. The price was very reasonable too. Used as a base for some days out. Beds comfortable and was warm and cosy too.
Some of the interior fittings and fixtures didn't work and we felt it was missing a few things. This was not a reflection on the site staff though who were friendly and very helpful when we mentioned issues we had. Was near the railway line so trains going past were quite loud.

environment, walks paths around small lake within park. the girls at the office were great and ancillary staff great solved issues immediately. caravan simply greatand comfortable. TV had a good selection. had also a microwave nice to have . overall it was very good . would visit again
necessary works in progress close to caravan. caravans close to the site should not be available at this time, during works in progress electricity could be effected and so heating. shop in off season on site poor. pub is only open weekends since not peak season e level of electric heating should be controlled by user all the time.

The site was nice
On arrival after a 10 hour drive was told would have to pay £40 to check in an hour early! Also requested a secluded cabin did not want to be put near the play park or bar and we were put opposite the bar it was like watching something out of shameless when the emptied every night and noisy also trains very noisy. They did not listen to our request

October 2023
Myself and two friends went to celebrate our birthdays. The caravan was very clean and everything we needed was there.
There was nothing to do. There was a dvd player in the caravan but no cables. The TV ariel seemed to have a break in it, and as a result, there was nothing but interference on the TV. We were disappointed that although we were there from the 2nd October for 5 nights and were told that the site didn't close until the end of October, everything was closed. We didn't get told this until we arrived. The road into the site is badly in need of an upgrade as it is covered in deep potholes and the surrounding area where our caravan was also covered in potholes. If they upgraded this, it would be a really nice place. Besides all my negative comments we found the staff to be very nice and helpful and couldn't do enough for us.
