Large historic building, very impressive features, but decorated in a modern way. Although it wasn’t a cold November, a wood burning stove was lit in the dining room, giving the room a warm and cosy atmosphere. We had a delicious meal, perfectly cooked. The owner was very friendly and helpful, as soon as we had checked in, he took our luggage to our room without being asked. My husband is disabled but likes to do things himself even if he struggles so this was a huge help. All in all, a lovely overnight stay, I would recommend highly.

The hotel was easy to find and just what we needed after a fairly long drive. The staff were lovely and we are happy to pass on details to friends of ours who also like to break their journey. We set off the following day refreshed and ready for the road. We'll be keeping the hotel's details for reference.

The hotel has clearly undergone a major refurbishment, i had read previous reviews about poor bathrooms, however it appears they were unjust, as my bathroom was brand new, in fact the reception team explained during my stay that all bathrooms are currently being upgraded they have currently completed over 50% of them, and hope to have them all completed very soon, the restaurant was also great, over 40 gins to sample and a menu with specials daily, i had teh haggis bon bons followed by Slow cooked Belly Pork delicious, cant wait to return next month on business.

Nothing, it more than exceeded my expectations and only cost £80, I would have happily paid more for the level of room, food and service that I received, the only draw back the gym did not open until 7am, so I didnt have time to use these facilities.

The room was huge! The shower a wet room and delicious, hot and powerful. The food was good as was the bar. The bed was comfortable and despite being adjacent to the M74 we didn't hear a thing but we were at the back.

Although the wet room was great the lack of slope on the drainage meant some considerable paddling to access the sink for sometime after taking a shower. Also the toilet was set on plinth and at 5' 4" I was swinging my feet. The towel rail was above the toilet paper. Wet towels draped over loo roll. Take care where you put your towels!

Good breakfast. Peaceful setting on the outskirts of Lockerbie. Close to the garden of remembrance re the plane crash. Great service.

Bar doesn't open till 3pm (we were attending a wedding), they closed restaurant on night of wedding without mentioning to guests but luckily my partner and I were added onto the wedding party table but not really the point. Could do with new mattress in room as springs not so good. Disappointing really

The room was lovely with a huge comfortable king size bed. Very pretty in terms of the design too with different shades of grey. The staff was very helpful and friendly, good location as well. Breakfast was delicious, I appreciated the French pastries maybe a bit too much.

The shower was the downside for me, I didn't think it was very straightforward to use it and the bathtub was very slippery. Also, the breakfast wasn't included in my booking so I had to add it when needed. It would have been perfect it was a bit cheaper (£15 for full traditional breakfast, £10 for continental) but overall a lovely stay!

We had a lovely over night stay the room was well thought out and inviting from opening the door the room smelled good bed was so comfy did not want to get out of it. Food was amazing evening meal and breakfast. Staff was so help full on the ball with everything. Bar was well stocked. Amazing.

Stayed for 1 night for a work trip. Room was very clean and tidy. Staff very helpful and even printed off some paperwork I needed for work. Will stay again if I’m working in the area. Room was nice and warm. So much so I turned the radiator down and opened the windows. Nice complaint to have.
