We had a breakdown and the staff were so supportive and lovely. They took a lot of the difficulty out of a very stressful situation that would have left me and my daughter stranded 400 miles from home without any sleep.

The automated system initially marked us as no shows because we were not able to ge there until 4/5 am, even though it says 24 hour checkin.i had tried to call the number available for the site twice but it is just a mobile and no one has access to it. If it wasn't for the staff we would have been in a lot of trouble.

Really, really comfortable bed! The room and ensuite were very clean and tidy. Friendly member of staff at check in. Temperature in the room was just right, not too hot or cold. It is a handy location for people travelling between England and Scotland.

The signs on the way in are confusing making it difficult to find the entrance to the hotel, especially at night. The signs need to be clearer and better lit. The white lines on the roads around the hotel are so worn they are barely visible in places making it hard to see when to stop and who has right of way. The wifi is awful. I had work to do and couldn't get any of it done as I kept losing the connection and getting knocked off the wifi. Even checking messages on my phone was really slow.

Excellent hotel. Good value. Spotlessly clean, tidy, comfortable and quiet. Staff were friendly, polite and helpful. Faultless.

The breakfast!! Awful!! The breakfast is provided via a voucher which is redeemed at the breakfast restaurant in the service station (100 yards away). The quality of food ingredients was one of the worst I have experienced at any diner. If I were to stay there again (no reason I would not as I really liked the hotel), I would purchase sandwiches and snacks from Waitrose in the service station.

Very warm welcome from receptionist who was also able to tell us what was available at the service area. Room was very comfortable and much better than Travel Lodges which we had been using previously. We'll look for Days Inns next time we travel.

Web site stated that hotel was om M74 Northbound so we had to 'phone to make sure we could access it from Southbound. Not really a problem but if web site merely stated Gretna Services we would have automatically assumed that it was available from either the South or the North

Clean and tidy the hotel was all on one level the staff were excellent and helpful easy to find the service’s

Signage to the hotel it’s self was not very helpful once you have arrived at the services, the first night the fire alarm went off at 3 am totally dark in the room, the alarm was so loud you couldn’t think and had no way of contacting the night porter as there is No contact information in the room, no emergency lighting visible, no information over the PA if the hotel had one (I don’t know )this needs attention so the residents knows what to do and whether to evacuate. The good breakfast is limited to fried unfortunately

Nice budget hotel right next to the motorway services and just a mile from Gretna Green. Our room was large and the king size bed was very comfortable. It was a great base for us to explore the Scottish Borders.

Only two plug sockets in the room… both on the dressing table, nothing anywhere near the beds. There are USB charging ports in the bedside shelves but these are no good if you have something that needs plugging in at night like my partners CPAP machine, and I expected more from a disability access room.

Check in was straight forward with lovely staff. The price was good. The facilities we needed were all there and working well. Hair dryer/teas and coffees /tv/nice shower.

The dog charge was high compared to other hotels at 40% of the cost of the room on top (£15). There was a black stain on the towel and a couple of hairs in the shower from previous person. It’s located within the motorway services area but this also has its benefits of lots of parking and food options nearby!

Very conveniently situated for Scotland or Northern England. The hotel was warm and comfortable and offered tea and coffee facilities in the room Great bed and pillows and excellent value for money. Free parking as well as fast food outlets in the service area close by. On the plus side was our dog was accommodated as well, there was a grassed area to walk her close by

We liked everything about this hotel would highly recommend it to anyone looking for reasonable priced accommodation

The room was clean and warm, the bed was comfortable. Very basic room. Tea and coffee makings available.

Not so much didn't like, but observations. 2 pillow was too much and 1 not enough (just me), a nice proper armchair would be nice just to sit and relax to watch television would be nice. A tray in the shower to hold all the soaps and stuff rather than having to keep getting out to get items from sink. For what is available, very disappointed with the price, but assume that is it for motorway motels.

There wasn't anything that I didn't like thank you! The staff were so helpful as my stay was for a few days and nothing was too much for them, the room was immaculately clean, comfortable and even quiet to sleep in even though it was close proximity to traffic. The location meant I had full use of the service station and it wasn't too far from Gretna Town too. Free parking meant I could leave our minibus and not have to worry about it once there. Overall a very pleasant stay and great place to work from with good Internet/free connection!
