Hotel staff were extremely polite and efficient. We had a evening meal and it was really tasty, good portions and Yummy. Car parking was so easy. We decided not to have breakfast, as we would not normally do that anyway. Waist-line hopes!

There was no (Zero) WiFi in our room. Not really acceptable in this day and age. When I checked the booking form it says WiFi was available in the main hotel and public areas. The rooms for pet owners was not attached to the main hotel. The kitchen sink tap was detached (completely) from the sink itself. I think its caused by someone trying to put water into the oversized room kettle. Biggest disappointment for me was the tea/coffee tasted awful in the room. So we had to go to a nearby garage for a Costa coffee.

Breakfast was excellent staff were pleasant coffee kept coming very welcoming place even the main meals where delicious and the desserts highly recommended see photos sorry no pictures of the room as we was in them hehe bed was amazing the best wanted to take it home lol so we will be staying again will book through Solway Lodge it self tho not through booking to stop the confusion other then that magnificent stay for our reminiscing of our 1 year wedding anniversary at gretna green thank you for the champagne and chocolates that you can book with your room the bridal sweet was brilliant thank you again and again <3 10 ✨

We stayed one night in the honeymoon suite. The room was a good size and the bathroom was big with both a shower and a bath. The room was clean and tidy. The staff was great, polite and helpful, check us in and out promptly and without problems. They have a good size parking lot where we managed to keep our car overnight. They are a 5 minutes walk from an outlet with many different shops and restaurants. Location for us was great as we were due in Gretna Green the day after and that was just a few minutes away.

Only thing we had some trouble with in the evening was the shower, we couldn't get a steady temperature, it was either too hot or too cold, but it was working fine the day after so not sure what happened.

We stayed as the wife and I were renewing our vows for our Silver Anniversary, we were given one of the chalet rooms, which was very clean and well presented, the room was a fair size and the hotel also had a reasonable priced bar and the food is well cooked, Breakfast, was very good, if its not on the menu, then providing they cook it, you can have it, I finished our stay with a lovely Haggis and poached egg roll.

All the issues is really just nit picking, The shower wasn't the most powerful, The internet in the room was pretty non existent, the bed was comfy, but for us felt like they are probably ready to be changed, and the door in and out of the bathroom swings inwards and inhibits your access with the layout of the Toilet / Shower, a bifold or a slidey door would be better.

Staff were very friendly. Evening food was excellent. Breakfast was good, except poached egg on toast was two poached eggs and ONE slice of toast. Parking was good, the beds were very comfortable. Betty, our dog, appreciated a sausage for breakfast, also.

Big disappointment one, was no WIFI. I would never have booked this hotel if it stated no WIFI. I mentioned this to the staff and they said there was was non in the building we were in, and they were looking into it. Why did they not state that on Booking.com. Big disappointment two was the room we were in. The pictures on Booking.com showed nice rooms within the hotel. When we arrived we were given room one. So we had to go back out in the rain, walk around the hotel to find a block of tiny rooms, NOTHING like pictures on booking.com. The room was clean, to be fair, but was more suitable to single travellers than two adults and a dog. I suggest the visit the Gables hotel nearby and see how the do it!

Breakfast was amazing even a sausage for the 🐕 dog ! Staff couldn't do enough for you. Evening meal 😋 superb generous portion sizes.

I stayed in the accessible chalet with my partner & dog. I am a wheelchair user it was difficult to get over the lip of . door. Bathroom shower no seat! Not big enough to manoeuvre wheelchair.So was unable to use shower. Using toilet was difficult no handrails, etc very low toilet.

The hotel rooms were fresh modern and very comfortable . breakfast was excellent with a good choice. The dining room area was well lain out and like the rest of the hotel was very fresh and clean, the menu had an excellent selection and the food was nothing less than exceptional . I can only describe the hotel as ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅

The fact that we were only there for a couple of nights . Will definitely be returning in the future .

The reception wasn’t very warm as they seemed short staffed so the reception wasn’t unmanned. The person who attended to us didn’t seem very welcoming when we had to call him from the bar to check us in. The breakfast wasn’t great. It wasn’t horrible, but quality of food wasn’t great. I had a sausage and egg roll and the sausage looked dried out due to being reheated

The staff were very pleasant and helpful, always smiling and happy to assist. Even if they were busy, they still made the time to stop and assist with whatever you needed, even if it was just to chat. The room was very comfortable with everything you needed. It was across from the main building so we weren't disturbed by any celebrations. The meals were very filling and plentiful (the steak pie is a must) absolutely delicious

A function was on in the evening that spilt into the restaurant which caused us to be moved into bar. Still to be plagued by children running around. In the bar was a group of youngsters that had no drinks etc. that proceeded with them vapping in my husbands face. When asked to stop we got abuse hurled at us. We would have stopped for more drinks but had to leave. Very disappointed as we spent a lot of money on our meal and stay with you to be confronted with this. I wish to put a complaint about this please
