The whole place was squeaky clean. Hosts were both very welcoming. Squidgy delicious home-baked cookies in our room upon arrival, as well as chilled water with a charcoal filter in it. Breakfast was perfectly cooked, with fresh, varied & delicious ingredients. Mattress was comfortable. Shower had great water pressure & Scottish toiletries that we know are excellent quality. Would have liked to have chatted some more to our hosts, but they were busy & we had a busy day. We wish them continued success with the Bojangles as they are doing it right! So refreshing. 🇨🇦🏴😴🌻
Nothing we didn’t like. In an ideal world maybe some more milk in the room & some de-caf teabags, but that’s just us, it was certainly not a deal breaker.

We booked Bojangles at the last minute & what a delight it was. Maurice & Loreen are wonderful friendly hosts & we felt a very warm welcome. The rooms ( we were in Dumfries) are comfortable & very tastefully decorated. Even the presentation of the towels was beautiful. Fluffy thick white towels. We were able to choose what we wanted for breakfast. I had a cooked breakfast & Ric had porridge with fruit & a choice of seeds & we thoroughly enjoyed our serves. Delicious lemon yoghurt with berries preceded that- served in glassware. We loved staying at Gretna & won't forget our stay at Bojangles. It was like the 'icing on the cake'. We wish we could have stayed longer.
The only thing was that we couldn't stay longer!

From the first phone call to Maurice, I had a good feeling about the upcoming overnight stay. I found the accommodation by chance on booking.com as we just needed a bed for one night to break our journey from home in Cambridgeshire to where we were staying in the Scottish highlands. We were greeted outside as soon as we parked our car, made to feel very welcome, shown to our immaculately clean room, helped where to eat late at night, had a great meal next door but one, and after a great nights sleep, enjoyed a wonderful breakfast. Wife said she ate the best eggs benedict she's ever had. We will definitely be returning next time we drive up north.

Maurice & Laureen were exceptional hosts, so friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The accomodation, breakfast area and the building itself was perfect...... of course it's the people that make it, with their attention to detail, what a fantastic 2 nights we had. I highly recommend staying with them, you will not be disappointed.
Not a single jot was wrong, very homely and not clinical and all because of Laureen and Maurice. We had an instant rapport with them.... a real genuine rapport and would love to see them again.

This guest house is beautifully appointed, run by great hosts and provides a wonderful breakfast. We stayed in the “Solway” room which is spacious, bright & airy with furniture & fittings of a high quality. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom has a very nice corner bath / shower and the liquid soaps, shampoo & body wash were luxurious. The hosts, Maurice & Laureen, were so welcoming and helpful with our luggage and in suggesting places to eat. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was beautifully cooked and presented. It was a shame that we could only stay 1 night but will certainly return if we are in the area.

The warmest welcome I have ever had waited for me on my arrival, it was like I was family coming to visit. The beautiful big room had a super king size bed which was very comfortable and snuggly. A good clean en suite with everything I needed, plenty of hot water in the shower. The room had a beautiful view, the room was spacious and warm. Lots of personal touches that just made my stay feel special. I was able to book the electric charger parking space. The breakfast was delicious and generously sized, good quality ground coffee and lovely fresh juice. There is a designer outlet in walking distance, along with a pub and a co-op.
Absolutely nothing to not like.

We stayed to break our journey from Northern Ireland, but our one night stay was made more than just a stopover. Bojangles is a lovely place to stay, with modern luxurious rooms, probably one of the best cooked breakfasts we have had, loved the little homemade touches, and a very warm welcome from Maurice and Laureen. Close to places to eat in the evening, we ate at the hotel next door. Walking distance to all the historic and shopping areas of Gretna Green. It was a very enjoyable extension to our trip. Two minutes to get back on the motorway. Perfect.
There was nothing we didn't like.

Everything. Bojangles is so much more than a B & B. From the warm welcome of the hosts Maurice (whose background is in hospitality) and Loreen (whose cookies and breakfasts are delicious) and their nothing is too much trouble attitude, to their most delightful house that they share with their guests everything is just perfect. Where else would your host offer to pick you up from the station and drop you off there after only a one night stay even though they had guests arriving imminently. Great Wi-Fi, fluffy towels, divine hand wash and only a short hop and a skip from the retail park. From the beautiful upgraded room with the most comfortable bed to the most enjoyable breakfast with plenty of options, perfect, perfect, perfect. We hope, no we know their new business venture will be a roaring success, just hope they have space on our next visit.
Absolutely nothing.

Easily the kindest, most accommodating hosts I've ever had - they even drove to Gretna Green station to collect me so that I didn't have to pull my suitcase the whole way on a warm day! Excellent breakfast, quiet area and superbly comfortable, clean rooms. I slept like a log my entire stay. Within easy walking distance of a retail park for shopping, and if you are headed to Gretna Green then it's about a twenty minute walk, or a very short drive away.
This is not the hotel's fault, but it was impossible to secure a taxi to return after a wedding I'd been attending. It seems most places stop taking bookings very early. There's literally nothing about the hotel or the hosts that I can fault.

I have never left a review of a property before but I just had to for Maurice and Laureen! They were both so accommodating and provided so many lovely personal touches to our stay, always going above and beyond. Laureen is also an amazing chef. The breakfast was one of the best I’ve ever had, also spoiling us with little homemade cookies left in our room upon arrival. The room was also immaculate and bed was extremely comfortable. I would rate this accommodation to anyone. We will definitely be staying there again just to enjoy the amazing food and hospitality! Thank you so much again for making our first experience to Gretna so much more memorable!
Couldn’t fault anything. Amazing quality and service.
