Fantastic location. We were staying for our daughters graduation and the aparthotel, was absolutely perfect and so much more than we had expected. With two rooms and large bathroom, large lounge and kitchen, not only was it modern and very practical. The little extra's like bottled water, crumpets, butter/jam as well as a good selection of teas/coffee, milk etc. were much appreciated after a long journey. We went to the restaurant in the evening, which did not disappoint either. Staff were all lovely and went out of their way to help.

The heat! In another heatwave, the apartment was super hot making it very difficult to sleep in comfort. Even with windows open there was little relief. This was at no fault of the hotel. A couple of good Dyson fans were provided, however they were not too effective with the heat. Some foam of air conditioning or air cooling would have been much appreciated.

The hotel was very modern and clean which was fantastic in an old city. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Room had a Nespresso coffee machine and free crumpets with locally sourced butter jam and milk too! We stayed in a one bed deluxe apartment and it was so roomy! Absolutely perfect for getting ready for an event - we weren't tripping over each other and having the kitchen meant easy access to drinks and food when we got back too! The staff gave us a thin duvet as requested and we also asked for a fan, very impressed with the Dyson air they provided! Kept us cool enough without air con so can't complain at all.

The bath was quite high up, genuinely thought I was gonna slip getting out of it and the dressing table mirror was too high to see myself in when I sat on the stool so I had to stand up whilst curling my hair which is a bit trickier.

Since we arrived in Carlise by train, we appreciated the location of the Halston only 5 minutes walk from the station. We ate nearby at La Mezzaluna and enjoyed the Griffin pub for a drink. The reception staff at the Halston were helpful and pleasant. It was great to have an elevator to easily bring our suitcases up to and down from our room. Our studio was great with a large, comfortable king bed, a kitchenette, a small dining table and a couch. We definitely recommend this hotel.

The tub/shower combination was a bit tricky to get into and out of - grab bars would be helpful for seniors.

Very comfortable apartment, nicely decorated and fitted out. Resteraunt was fantastic, food amazing and a great menu! Well worth a visit and a gem to find.

The apartment we had had sash style windows which are single glazed and the noise outside is a little annoying due to the bar downstairs and across the street, it sounded like the people were in the room! Maybe invest in a double sealed inner window or something like other properties that are listed do, this would make the apartment perfect!! We did manage plenty of sleep and comfort despite this, but felt I needed to mention it.

Great Apart/Hotel in the centre of Carlisle. Easy to find by car - the property does not have its own car park but park at the Halston Car Park which is behind the hotel (1 min walk) and also they will validate your parking and you get a 20% discount. Nice reception and bar areas. The room was spacious and very well decorated. Milk, Tea, Coffee, Water and Crumpets given. The room refreshed everyday. Easy walk to everything in central Carlisle. Bars, Restaurants, Cathedral, Castle, Museums....

Had booked to stay in the Town house for our daughter's graduation. On arrival was allocated room 105. Wow, exceptional decor, clean and modern 2 bed apartment. Really pleased with our upgrade. Receptionist was extremely friendly and helpful. Location excellent within walking distance of train station and town centre.

A dedicated car park for the hotel would have been lovely, but hotel is able to give a discount to patrons. In the carpark next door to the hotel.

The staff were friendly, the room was pristine and a great size. Ideal location for us to enjoy the bars locally for my partners birthday. Penny Blue, the restaurant attached to The Halston is also outstanding, this was our 4th visit to the restaurant and it never disappoints!

The room was hot, we were very warm overnight. The room did have a fan which helped, but the.windows were quite difficult to open. I slept absolutely fine, but my partner struggled with the warmth.

Fantastic hotel in a great location. We opted for the 2-bedroom apartment on the 3rd floor. One word, brilliant. Comfortable, clean, perfect deco and with ample space - yes, home from home. The bathroom had a walk-in shower as well as a bathtub, and kitchen had all (and more) the amenities. Parking is available adjacent to the hotel and tickets can be validated at the hotel for a 20% discount. On arrival, the lady at reception was extremely helpful and polite. She gave us a quick brief of the hotel, breakfast and parking, and nearby sites to visit. Sorry for the delay in leaving this review but definitely deserve the 5* rating.

Hotel staff were very welcoming and helpful upon our arrival. Rooms are spacious. The townhome was perfect for our family of 4 and certainly worth the price. The remainder of the extended family were in the main hotel and were thrilled with their rooms as well.

We visited in August and it was quite noisy in the street facing rooms until 1:00 am. The hotel does provide ear plugs in the room which is nice since they have no control over the bar noise.

Plenty of space in the apartment, with modern bathrooms and kitchen. The welcome pack of teas, milk and crumpets were a nice touch. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly on arrival. Parking was straightforward and very close by.

The master bedroom only had a ceiling window with a blind, which didn’t let in much light during the day (but didn’t create much black out at night either!) The room was hot and there was no way to open the window for fresh air (although a fan was provided). The bed was a standard double; we would have preferred a king size. There was a safe for valuables and bath robes/slippers provided.
