Lovely lodge. Had everything we needed in lovely setting. We were let down by other accomodation and they accommodated us at last minute i.e. within a couple of hours. This allowed us to attend a festival so we didn't miss out on tickets we had paid for and they saved my 8 year old son from being disappointed on his birthday weekend. They left delicious lemon cake to welcome us to lodge and milk. Check in was easy and all instructions or information about the lodge was available in lodge and easy to access so all our questions were answered. As it was last minute we didn't bring our costumes but the hot tub and sauna on site also looked great and the kids loved the animals. Even better that you can also bring dogs. Thanks for a great stay and saving our weekend

The lodge was prepared for all people staying with a lovely home made lemon cake which was beautiful! The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. The kids loved that they could just walk out the lodge and see the donkeys, sheep and chickens. The stay was so relaxing I just wish we could have stayed longer! The rooms were clean and tidy and the beds super comfy!

The bathrooms could do with a little TLC as there was black mould in the shower cubicle and around the bath bit apart from that it was spot on.

Everything about the lodge, the site and the village were wonderful and the owner was a lovely host. My wife and I had stayed here on two occasions forty years ago and this was planned as a happy 'trip down memory lane'. Everything was just as good as it had been all those years ago.

The only thing to comment on was that the lodges did look just a little tired externally and maybe needed a coat of paint here and there. However this did not spoil our time staying here again after all these years.

The location was lovely and quiet. It Overlooked a Donkey paddock which was an added bonus. Very clean, with lots of spare bedding and blankets. Emily was so thoughtful, upgrading us as our lodge wasn’t ready when we arrived and putting home baked yummy cake in the kitchen, which was stocked with milk, sugar and tea.

First impressions on pulling in were great — the place felt super inviting right away. Peaceful setting, clean and cozy lodge, and friendly hosts. The hot tub was a treat, and the farm animals added a lovely touch.

There was nothing I didn’t like about the property — it was faultless and completely served our purpose.

Hosts Emily and Gary are friendly and very accommodating. The cabin (1) was a good size for the two of us and small dog. We loved having the facility to soak in the hot tub after a long walk.

Apart from a bit of updating of the decor there’s nothing else to comment on improvements.

Lovely well equipped and very clean. Everything you would need was provided. Homemade cake added bonus, thank you. Animals in paddock and grandchildren loved going out to see them.

Only negative was sofa bed. Not the most comfortable for sleeping on.

Quiet & peaceful rural location. Spacious accommodation. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Within easy reach of north lakes attractions and the Solway coast. Pet friendly with facilities for dogs and local walking routes. Would recommend for a relaxing family get-together.

Staff was friendly and lodge was clean, comfy and as described. Fantastic value for money in a great location and will be staying there again.

I cannot fault the experience for the money we paid over the weekend we stayed.

Set in a beautiful countryside location, with animals in the field behind us, this was a perfect place to spend a peaceful family Christmas together. The property was the best equipped one I have ever stayed in, everything we needed was to hand. The hot-tub and sauna added to the luxury of our stay, as did the tin of home made chocolate fudge the owners Emily and Gary left for us on our arrival. The property was very clean, warm and comfortable. We will definitely be returning soon!

there was nothing we didn’t like, everything was great!
