The location was exceptional! It was next to the lake and the market, so we could enjoy walking around there all day! We arrived on Saturday, so there was a market and so many people in the town. There was an easy path to the lake, too. The hotel room was great and the room my sister stayed in (top floor) had a great view of the lake. She loved the view and she told me that she was looking outside till late evening. The bed was comfortable and very clean. The breakfast was great and a good amount. We had a good time in Keswick!

I totally forgot that there aren't any parking spaces and I've got there around 4 pm. There wasn't any parking space and I tried to park in different places, but I couldn't find any spaces. Luckily, my sister found a place in front of the hotel when I was looking for it. I managed to park my car. But the hotel has some spaces to park somewhere and I read a sign about it after checking in. There isn't a lift in the hotel. We saw an old man struggling to climb the stairs.

The hotel is in a beautiful location and the interior is charming and full of character. Our rooms were spotless and even though almost full, the hotel was very quiet. The staff were very pleasant and professional. Breakfast was exceptional. We were shown to our table and offered drinks while browsing the lovely menu. Breakfast was freshly cooked with high quality meat and produce. So much nicer than having to queue at a buffet-style breakfast. We will definitely stay again. The hotel is a short walk from the lake and the theatre, making it the perfect base for us. Thank you to all of the staff.

Nothing to add here :)

Perfect location short walk to both town and Derwent water, check in at 13:30 and friendly staff. Breakfast was delicious with a great choice and very attentive staff. Parking is just behind the hotel at £6 a day so not far to walk, our room was on the ground floor so no stairs to climb. We requested the bed to be made into the superking size which it was and was very comfortable and clean, bathroom was clean and shower powerful.

If I had to comment it would be the smell in the room, we stayed in Skiddaw which is a large room at the back of the hotel (we did book late) on entering you were hit with a smell of what I can only describe as 'old'. once in you dont notice it but it is a very old building and we would stay again so not necessarily a negative.

Room 29 roomy warm and very comfortable with a fantastic view of the mountains (Skiddaw). The staff were amazing and friendly. The breakfast good choice and prompt service tasty and good sized portions. We arrived mid afternoon on the Friday and parked in the hotel car park which had plenty of spaces and didn’t drive again until we left for home mid Sunday afternoon so the Keswick town centre was ideal base for walking shopping and just having a great time. We even fitted in an evening at the Lake side theatre. We will definitely stay again + tell all our friends at York how wonderful our stay was! 👍😁

That we couldn’t stay longer

We've stayed here before, so knew it would be great! Great location, a very short work to Derwent Water and into the town. Easy parking - didn't realise if we had booked directly with Crow Park, we would have had free parking, but £6 per day isn't too steep. Lovely large comfy bed. Lovely staff and lovey breakfast with wide selection on offer.

The ONLY downfall, in room 11 is the length of the curtains! They covered the window, but not to the floor so, in August by 5am, the room was really light. Not really a big deal.

Such a wonderful hotel, I'm so happy I chose it for my stay in Keswick. Quiet location within a few short minutes walk from the center of town. The room was big, comfortable, clean, and well-equipped with everything I needed. The staff was beyond kind and friendly, giving me hiking recommendations and transportation advice. Really enjoyed my stay and would be very happy to stay here again!

The staff were very nice & professional. The view we had in the superior room was stunning. The breakfast was very good,Parking was great & was a fair price.

Was a little cold in hour room & the Tv was very small & in an awkward place to be able to watch from the bed. It also could have done with a small fridge so you could put in bottles of water, juice and milk. It needs a little updating…the rooms are looking a little tired…And I couldn’t help but notice that the dining room carpet (The tartan one where we had breakfast) looks pretty grim. It’s still a lovely place to stay so please don’t be put off….it’s just the little things but could be better for these changes.

The location is perfect overlooking the lake and mountains and crow park. The hotel is 10 mins from the lake or 10 mins into Keswick town centre and has it's own car park, free if you book through their own website,£6 daily if you don,t.We couldn't fault the breakfast, everything on the plate was nicely cooked and was ample to start the day.

The noise on a night or early morning with the bedroom doors from the residents coming and going to and away from their rooms,(but that's people). The pillows were a little hard for me and my wife because we like more than one and when I mentioned it to the manager he gave me another slightly softer one.Hotel Association policy to keep them clean with the pillow covers on he said.

Great location very near the Derwentwater Lakeside as well as town centre. Good car parking at rear ( front parking road was closed with repairs). Excellent food at breakfast with plenty of choice including wide gluten free options. Staff very helpful and caring with enough on duty to cover a full hotel so little waiting. Husbands expensive bike had a locked up facility overnight. Easy access to it when needed. The staff attitude is to be praised as could not be more positive and helpful.

The internet connection in our room rarely worked but we were on upper levels. It worked fine in the dining room so used that. It is a general problem in the Kake District we found especially with the hills blocking many a signal so the hotel could not be blamed. They did have boosters on higher floors but we were squirrelled behind substantial walls! ( Another Lake District feature!)

We had a lovely room at the front of the property overlooking Crow Park. It was nicely decorated and the beds were comfortable. The property is well situated for an easy walk into Keswick in either direction and Derwentwater and the Theatre by the lake are almost on the doorstep. This makes it ideally situated to all the different attractions Keswick has to offer. The cooked breakfast was superb and the staff were very attentive and amenable. All in all I would highly recommend this particular Hotel. I hope I can make a return visit there soon.

There was nothing I didn’t like, but I would suggest some outside seating, as some of the other Hotels nearby have, would be a good addition.
