Salisbury Guest House is a wonderful place to stay for visiting Keswick. The location is ideal, a 5 min walk to the town centre. The house is very homely, the room was extremely clean with plenty of storage space in the room and in the large ensuite bathroom. The beds were very comfortable with ample additional warm covers if needed. The room was also very quiet considering the house was fully booked at the time we stayed. There is a Tele union dvd player in the room with a large collection of dvds to choose from. Alternatively, a good collection of books is also there for the guest's enjoyment. The included breakfast was generous and the cooked breakfast was delicious. Additionally, the house is dog friendly which was important to us. Most of all, the hosts were fantastic, welcoming and helpful. We had a lovely stay and will definitely go back in future.

The on street parking can be difficult to find at times.

This was an amazing place to stay, great value, great location, super friendly and helpful host. The house is just a few blocks from the center square. The room was small but comfortable and very well appointed. We were offered choices to check for our full breakfast the next morning which was delicious and recommendations for restaurants in town. There were lots of nice added touches like a water carafe in the room, candy bowl at the front desk and I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.

Super friendly hosts, nothing too much trouble and made our stay very enjoyable. Very dog friendly and we even took the dogs in for breakfast (which was fab) when no-one else was in there. Lovely park 5 minutes away. Close to amenities. Would definitely book again.

Only thing would be parking - we were very lucky to park outside and we didn't move in case we lost our spot. There is street parking however you may just have to walk a little further but it wouldn't put me off as the hotel was superb

Lovely clean property. Room was clean with a nice view. Comfortable bed and a plush sofa to relax on. Espresso coffee machine with capsules. Tray to place our walking shoes on. Matt was very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was lovely and Matt ensured I had dairy-free lactose free milk at breakfast. Lovely filtered coffee. We got a lovely piece of bread and butter pudding on day of departure. Wifi available at all times without having to continually log on. The location is a short walk from the Keswick town centre. Nice to get free parking close by on the street.

My partner found the shower a tad on the small side. He said he kept banging his elbows.

The host was responses to messages and was at the property when we first arrived. Matt was very welcoming and asked if we needed any assistance with bringing our bags in, which was a very kind offer. We had everything we needed in our room and it was easy to speak to Matt if needed at any point. Breakfast was lovely and exactly what we asked for....whoever makes the breakfast certainly know how to cook and poached eggs were perfect! They were very knowledgeable on walks, since our plans changed one day due to the unpredictable weather which was very useful! We had a larger room which was perfect for us, especially having a dog so we had plenty of space for his bed and toys. Finally, they love dogs and made Ollie very welcome which as you can imagine is important to us. We are planning to stay where possible here again for each visit to Keswick!

Nothing, had exactly what we needed!

The location is fantastic, literally a 5 minute walk from the pubs and restaurants. Matt is also lovely and very welcoming!

The shower was very small and I ended up whacking my elbow into the temperature and power pipe. The double bed is also small. David struggled with his back due to being epileptic. He thankfully didn't have a seizure but the long term effects of having seizures takes its toll on his back.

We cannot fault any aspect of our stay . The hosts were very friendly and welcoming . They even gave us some delicious home made cake for a parting thank you for staying . The property is scrupulously clean and well furnished . The breakfast was delicious and cooked to perfection . There was a good choice of fruit ,cereals and yoghurts on offer as well. Location is perfect for the town centre . We would definitely recommend this guest house .

Nothing at all.

Matt and Paul work hard to make their visitors stay enjoyable. They respond positively and quickly to any individual requests, but also show initiative when they can anticipate a need for help. Which they happily undertake

One small thing was the smell in the bathroom at times. I believe it is coming from the shower drain.

Breakfast is excellent ..plenty of cereal, yogurts, fruit to choose from which we didnt have as the cooked breakfast was just so lovely and filling - served hot on warm plates- perfect- and a big pot of tea ! The location is perfect.. a few minutes walk to the town centre or a shorter walk across to Fitz park..perfect with dogs

White towels although clean and soft were a little on the grey side - ready for replacing

Fantastic stay at Salisbury Guesthouse in Keswick. Clear communication before we arrived. Rooms: We opted for the larger room. Large bed, sofa and private bathroom. Well decorated and comfortable bed. Shower hot at all times. Rooms cleaned daily and restocked with drinks and sweet treats. WiFi in the rooms. Hosts: Mark was a great host. Welcoming, helpful and even provided us with an iron, as going to a wedding. Breakfast: Great cold selection of yoghurt, toast and cereals. Different jams on offer as well as marmalade. You order the cooked breakfast you would like on your first day. We had a full English breakfast each day. Excellent quality ingredients. The sausages were amazing. A little gift of cake was given on the last day. Fully recommend staying here, thank you so much for such a wonderful stay!

Only thing which is a personal choice is a box of tissues in the room.
