The reception by Staff was very comforting and welcoming. The breakfast was absolutely spot on. One could not ask for more. We upgraded and that was excellent. Parking on site was a jolly big bonus, right at the front door at ground level, when we upgraded.

In the advertising, the fact that we could not actually book a room on any particular floor was an issue. The fact that there were no lifts available was an issue which we had not been informed of, nor expected. We were told our room was on the third floor. Retired people can't carry luggage up 3 flights of stairs. There was no mention that this accommodation like many others do not have lifts. We were extremely grateful that reception staff managed to give us an upgrade to a ground floor apartment. Yes it did cost a bit more, however we were comfortable with that. Had we known earlier about the lack of lifts we would have enquired further.

The staff were fantastic even before we arrived, when I rang up to ask about parking they couldn't do enough. They made sure we had a cone on our parking as we required the electric charger. Our family room was great, 2 beds for the children and a double for us, modern and spacious shower, the balcony was a bonus and a lovely bit of extra space as a family. Breakfast was so fresh - fruit, cereals, meats, bread, pastries etc. Constantly being refilled so nothing looked empty. Coffee and tea machines. Plenty of choice. I'd asked about the food beforehand as our son has an allergy and one of the ladies came to our room to show us the ingredients of the breads for the next day, which was so lovely. All the staff were friendly. The location is excellent, across the road there is a recreation field and a park not too far and you're a short walk from the shops and restaurants and bus stops. We will definitely return.

Nothing.

Located in a great area in Ambleside and easy to reach! We had the top room so quite a few stairs but that was fine for us. Room was clean with some really nice views and although it was very hot after we had opened the windows it eventually cooled down a bit. . Very friendly owners and we'd love to stay there again!

Car parking was £12 a day and someone completely blocked the drivers side of my car in while parked next to me. The B&B owner tried to contact them but no answer so I had to climb in through the passenger side

The room was amazingly clean, modern finishing. Location was just perfect a stone throw away the little town, and a small walk away from the lake and hiking trails. The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again next time.

I have little difficulty going upstairs, it’s not impossible. I did request a room on the ground floor. But as we got there a little late, the ground floor rooms were taken. Having said that, I’m glad we had room on the first floor, windows and balcony were really nice. The outdoor stairs felt a bit steep, “for me“.

Rooms were spotless, so clean, spacious, and well equipped. The beds were comfy. We liked that our room was outside. Breakfast was cereals, fruits , crumpets, etc, which were nice, and the dining area was also very clean. Perfect location. It was a short walk to the pubs and shops etc and a walk to the lake but all very nice. Staff were friendly. Felt like we was at home xxx

Would have liked clean towels while we were there (we were staying for 3 nights), but it wasn't a major issue and wouldn't put us off staying again. Parking cost us an extra £12 per day.

Friendly staff on reception, lovely welcome. Great room. Great location.

When I had breakfast there were limited options, if you are not choosing to serve cooked breakfasts (which is fine) then things like pastries should be full and replaced as soon as they are used, especially when there's only a very limited number on a plate. But as continental breakfasts go, it was good. I also didn't have my room tea / coffee replaced when used up, I could have asked but presumed it would have been taken care of, not the end of the world. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay again.

When we arrived and I asked if they had a carpet free room because I had had asthma problems at our previous hotel, they could offer us a beautiful wood-floored room at an extra price, but it was definitely worth it. I loved the multiple kinds of fresh cut-up fruit at breakfast. Breakfast, though not a cooked breakfast, was ample and delicious. The B&B is a few steps from the bus stop where all the buses stop to go all over the Lake District. Staff friendly and helpful.

Nothing we didn't like.

The stay was great, the hotel has a beautiful quiet country style, you feel like you are at home, we enjoyed the breakfast which was simple and delicious croissants, yogurt and fresh fruits, the staff were very helpful and kind in dealing with us and meeting our needs, the service in the room was excellent and the cleaning was daily, the view was very beautiful, and the location of the hotel is close to the center, I loved everything about the hotel as it is my second stay with them, thanks to all the staff for the high-class and friendly treatment, and special thanks to Mr. Trevor.

First of all, the location is super convenient – just a 5-minute walk from Ambleside town centre, with a bus stop only 2 minutes away, making it really easy to get around without a car. The room itself was nice and cosy, exactly what I was hoping for: clean, comfortable, and well-kept. It had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. Overall, a great base for exploring the Lakes. Would definitely recommend!

Teeny tiny stairs leading up to the top rooms, didn't trouble me, but some may not enjoy that!

The B&B is a great location, just short walk to the city center. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast is great (with lots of fruits), I really enjoyed. They advise that there is not hot food, but I really miss not having scramble egg.

There is parking on the hotel, but they charge extra £12 per day, which is a lot. I preferred to park in a 100 meters public parking that charges you 9.60 for all day stay. But it is free from 8pm-8am. If you are going to use the car during the day, worth parking there. If you have mobility difficulties, check before if you are going to stay in the ground level rooms, as some rooms are on the 3rd floor and there is no elevator. For me it was fine and not a problem.
